Actually, in Japan there's arranged marriages, but the children have the right to refuse it (thank god) but most of the time they go through with it. Not like it matters, but I think it's actually saying "anata mo watashi mo pokkin (or pocky'n)." I have yet to figure out why there is an "n" sound at the end though. For all of you who are curious and can read kana, the official way to write it is "アナタもワタシもPocky'n"

I always just thought it looked like it eased the pain of being married to her.

@DoeJohnson They have the "n" sound because that is how pocky got it's name. From the "pokkin" sound it makes when you bite into it.

there's not an "n" on the phrase, it's just the way they say it that sounds like there is.
