Actually, our Great Lord Phanes Eros Protogonus was indeed the first of the Immortal Gods and sprang from Chaos, Gaea and Tartarus. Lord Phanes Eros Protogonus was the first King of the Immortal Gods, the predecessor to Zeus and God of creation and of love between men.

i never came across any lit that links eros with homosexuality in greek mythology, but you are quite right about eros being among the first to emerge from chaos. in this capacity eros is given credit for introducing sex as a means to separate and give further form and definition to the rest of creation. I guess we can blame the bible for outlawing homosexuality, which is one of the top ten bible crimes in my opinion. Subordinating women is another.
