I've been following you guys for years now... ever since Crysis came out and i was doing mods of my own. you fellas have made some great progress and the game looks very sweet. love it.

The new mechwarrior game called Mechwarrior Online. Is in the making by Smith and tinker, but they moved to iPhone games as they got sued for the usage of a warhammer in their trailer to which they didnt have the rights. Now in cooperation with Pirahna games it is being produced and should release in the summer of 2012. Until than Mechwarrior Living legends, which is the crysis mod is by far the best we got. MMLL more than fills the void till summer.
@Skullkan6 infact from what I saw of Admin talk, only infantry can capture objectives (obviously if it's a slayer style game then that's not true ._.)
@MechGrinder sorry, but I refuse to include Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor as a sequel to it's original until either I play it or gets good review. Imo there's just too much bullsh** for it to be proper in my eyes.
There are Weapon and lazer sounds in the game. There may have been some issue with the computer during recording? It could be he dose not have enough sound channels? But all weapons make amazing noises in game.
It would be nice to have some sort of apparent sound effect for the lasers. They're obviously not from the 99¢ store and are generating a lot of heat via enormous amounts of energy. Even if there is an apparent "suppression" system, the sound would add to the experience of the game and not make the player feel like there is something wrong. It may even help balance gameplay by helping identify certain types of weapons among players.
i see the puma has an increased tonnage in this game..before it could only hold 2 ppc's, but you have 2 ppc's and some lasers. this is a really cool mod
it makes sense that the lasers wouldn't make a pew-pew sound, but it would be cool if immediately after discharge they made a camera flash warming up type of high pitch whine or heat sizzle noise or something.

@pBIggZz Only the Salt Dogs of Old truly appreciate this series. The Mechwarrior series requires Paitence, critical thinking, extensive knowledge of weapon systems at your disposal, and what Mech is best suited for the job. Games today are all fast-pace to where you don't get such time to think. I showed a few Mechwarrior vids to my younger cousin and he said it looked boring and there was no hard core mode. Kids.....
indeed... if you take a look at the trend the Mechwarrior series has taken, you'd see the eventual downward spiral of the gaming trend being followed by the series... Mechwarrior 2 had a lot of Flight-sim feel to it, Mechwarrior 3 too. When Mech 4 came out I was like "what happened? it looks more like an FPS now with so much of the old simulation factors oversimplified".
maybe that's why Mech5 won't be coming out for a long time... or God forbid.. ever. :(

@ThisIsAGreatName You realize it's been about two and a half years since that trailer, right? Most games are started and completed in less time than that. And there's not even a new screenshot for MW5.
@TheWaveringRadiant Well I don´t know the exact model of the mech, as I´ve never Piloted it but it could be something like a Puma which is a smaller mech. The smaller it is, the harder it is to hit, So mechs differ in size, Assualts are usually very tall, whereas the lights are usually very short. Trust me the Puma is not easy to hit, especially at range.
@TheWaveringRadiant Oh and the last pictures with the Grass almost as high, that is a Battle Armor, Kind of the Infantry of Battlech. Its basically an Infantrist in a powered armor. They are hard to kill, because they are very good at hiding. Hard to play well, but those that are played well...................are deadly.
@Antiks72 You can outfit with better coolant systems in the real mechwarrior games, I'm sure this mod does the same. Its often when you have mechs that use energy weapons, they overheat extremely quickly. That is if you don't regulate the heat. Its also possible to go find a safe place to shut down and cool the systems manually. Which can work best.
Please run Crysis Wars from now on. MWLL Beta 0.5.0 is coming out in the next hours and we are dropping Crysis support. You will be notified to install Wars instead then try again to install the game.
Well, maybe it didn't go that way for tigerija, but according to my experience over the last 4 weeks, I only managed to get into the huntress or jaguar's den twice (which is perpetually the only room available). After which, every single time I tried to log into the same room, I was kicked from the server even before I got past the loading page. I wish Battletech 3025 was back. But for now, back to A.V.A. for me.
@Aestariah There might be at least three reasons for being disconnected: 1) you haven't started Crysis Wars yet without MWLL loaded (thus not having setup the cd key, gamespy, ...) 2) you had a high ping to the server and were auto-kicked 3) they were playing a community map and you didn't have it (the map autodownloader will be in in the next release). Whatever the cause - if you have issues, ask in the MWLL forum and it should get sorted out.
Don't bother downloading this game. There's only one room available and they are filled with players who kick before new players can even join or are given the chance to develop. Their community has to become more mature before this game can be opened up for the public.
@phyvo Don't let the experience of one person let you stop from trying it - there are quite a few people playing it regularly and the community is usually pretty friendly.

@foamyfan211 Alienware is a crappy brand that hilariously overcharges people for PCs, and have helped spread the misconception about Gaming PC prices.
@foamyfan211 I got mine from Dell for $1300 back in 2008 and it can basically run anything except for this mod on the second highest - highest settings. I'm sure that you can get a much better computer for about the same price today or possibly even lower. If you build it yourself, the price could very well be half of what a company like Dell or HP would charge. I'm talking about desktop computers by the way, laptops are more expensive.

chromehounds2 not that small. i ean if you look the grass is man size and all the mechs you see are barely bigger than it. and why can you shoot some mechs then stop and theyll instead of firing at you turn back around and ignore you til you shoot them again?
sadly this doesnt do it for me and i love mw. im guessing its a limitation that cant be changed. while you may look like mechs and the weapon effects are like them the sense of size is totally dead. barely bigger than the grass. oh and the view is more like a helmet than being in a mech to be honest. butit does look good other than those. keep up the good work and cant wait for mw 5 lol
@choctaw111 Im playing mw4 right now. any way the sound seems appropriate in the game. But IRL the only noise laser weapon can make is noise of its mechanic components. In any case we are not too study to discuss some high stuff like this ;D

Nevertheless, this game has a greater eye appeal than its past predecessors.
It looks very interesting and is definitely worth a try. Perhaps even a comparison to the classic games which defined the Battletech series.

@foamyfan211 I got mine from Dell for $1300 back in 2008 and it can basically run anything except for this mod on the second highest - highest settings. I'm sure that you can get a much better computer for about the same price today or possibly even lower. If you build it yourself, the price could very well be half of what a company like Dell or HP would charge. I'm talking about desktop computers by the way, laptops are more expensive.

chromehounds2 not that small. i ean if you look the grass is man size and all the mechs you see are barely bigger than it. and why can you shoot some mechs then stop and theyll instead of firing at you turn back around and ignore you til you shoot them again?

sadly this doesnt do it for me and i love mw. im guessing its a limitation that cant be changed. while you may look like mechs and the weapon effects are like them the sense of size is totally dead. barely bigger than the grass. oh and the view is more like a helmet than being in a mech to be honest. butit does look good other than those. keep up the good work and cant wait for mw 5 lol

It seems that many of the things that are happening in game don't have any sound, like the lasers firing, etc.

I guess I never really thought about it.
MW3 was my favorite in the series and all weapons made some kind of noise.
The large lasers almost sounded like lightning.
If someone eventually develops a laser with that kind of power, surely it would make some kind of noise.

@choctaw111 Im playing mw4 right now. any way the sound seems appropriate in the game. But IRL the only noise laser weapon can make is noise of its mechanic components. In any case we are not too study to discuss some high stuff like this ;D
P.S. I heard mw3 more simulator realistic than mw4 do u recommend it?

MW3 also has a Pirates Moon expansion.
Most people think that better graphics means a better game, but this couldn't be further from the truth.
Great game-play makes a great game and MW3 had loads more than MW4.
