listen, guy. the M240 is a very heavy weapon, you can't run fast with it. It has a very low damage, but a big magazine. In this weapon you can put a FMJ and a red dot sight. i hate this LMG because you must work very hard to unlock it (level 52), and because has a very low damage rating. So, the best LMG is the AUG HBAR, it's very dangerous, accurate and calibrated. If you put on it a red dot sight and the FMJ, you will have a good weapon. The M240 is the worst LMG in the game.

CoD5: 9mm (.357 cal) out of an MP40 does waay more damage than a .45 (11.43mm) out a a Thompson (bullshit). Also, the semi auto M1 Garand, SVT-40, and G-43 fire the same rounds as the 1903 Springfield, Mosin Nagant, and K98k, respectively, yet it takes 3 shots with the semi autos and only 1 with the bolt actions. I don't really understand the "balanced" mentality, it doesn't make the guns balanced

I would rather have the damage correct even if that makes the guns completely unbalanced, because it would have some resemblance to reality, and therefore a playing field that makes sense (because it would be how things actually ARE not some bullshit "balanced" fight).

@MasterBlasterMusic In MW2 they take this to the extreme.The UMP is highly used, yet the Kriss Vector (which fires the exact same round [damage], at a higher rate of fire, with less recoil, and better manuverability) is rarely used at all, due to the game making it look like complete shit. The MP5k is easier to get kills with because it actually does MORE damage (again 9mm vs .45). Thats not to even get me started on the 5.56mm rifles in this game, all 7 of them, doing varying amounts of damage.

To be honest, I see no point in scavenger on LMG'S, they have ammo and have large magazine's that don't really need it, I prefer SOH pro just because it aims up the sights faster and reloads quicker. Which is essential on LMG'S

scavenger is bad for lmgs try one man army pro reloading takes 10 seconds but changing to the same class takes 2 seconds and it refills your clip and equipment so its like sleight of hand and scavenger together

LMGs are always fun. You can spot a runner and just unload a huge hail of bullets on him and if he doesnt die, he'll still be shitting himself badly. Its especially nice to spot someone shooting, then they turnon you and suddenyl have to reload, not with an LMG you would.

The iron sights on this gun look exactly like the sights on the M16A4 .. I to use Aug Hbar but my favourite is L86 LSW with bling and use grip and red dot sight or holographic. Grip is a must on the L86 because it has way too much recoil without it and the iron sights on the gun suck .. but still all the machine guns are boom in this game .. lovin mw2 !!! (assault rifles kick ass though .. Scar-H & Tar-21) =D .. nice vid dude

been playing like that for a couple of days. it's fun and you can actually rush somewhat. ump45 silenced. perks 1. scavenger or slight of hand 2. stopping power 3. ninja. works for me anyhow. and naturally tactical insertion cause you can't really avoid dying that way. but laying down tac insertion gives a bit of an edge. I think it's way underrated.
