The Bible gives absolutely no indication that Mary or the saints can hear our prayers. Mary and the saints are not omniscient. Even glorified in Heaven, they are still finite beings with limitations. How could they possibly hear the prayers of millions of people?

the Bible states ( 1 Timothy 2:5) the ONLY mediator between us and GOD is Jesus. Mary & any other saints are NOT to be prayed to or ask them to pray for us.we are responcible for our own selves as far as prayers are concerned. and the story of La Virgin de Guadalupe was a story made up by father Migual Sanchez in 1648. The Aztec Indians prayed to their goddess not the Virgin, making the Spaniards think they were converted to Catholisism.

Yeap, she is Mary as well. There have beeen several apparitions all around the world of the virgin "Mary" the mother of God, however, in different places they tend to call her different names depending on many things, for example town where she appeared, aaand, many different reasons which I honestly do not know, but yes, they are all the virgin Mary. I do now that.

Perhaps you should put some information in the section next to this video to let everyone know that we do not worship Mary nor do we call her a goddess. It is because of things like this that Protestants think we are nuts for "worshiping" Mary when we do not worship her.

But I have to tell you that we are not her "worshipers" as you put it. We worship God alone. We do not worship Mary. We only honor, cherish and respect her as our Mother in Heaven.

Yes, I apologize for having referred to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe as a "Goddess". That was my mistake. I did not mean it in any disrespectful manner, however. Still, I see how it could be misinterpreted in that way. I made this video to praise our Lady and honor her, not to create any offensive feelings from her worshipers. I sincerely apologize that I have.

The Catholic church used the Story of the Virgin Mary and infused it with the legend of the local Aztec goddess in order to further convert the remaining natives of Mexico... it's that simple.

It worked.. after all the alternative to converting was death by fire for heresy O_o..

and to this day nearly 90% of Mexicans are Catholic with more respect for the "Virgin Mother".. then Christ.

I respect freedom of religion, even if I disagree with it, & I'm not naive, I know that my view on Catholicism isn't the same as most Catholics who honestly see & believe in the goodside of it, & yes there is much good from the catholic people. As for the Catholic priests who protected the natives.. that was many generations later.

The first priests who came upon our land sought to convert all who were left after the Spanish slaughter and plagues.

They offered a simple choice..

Stop worshiping "false gods" and living like savages, by accepting the catholic faith... or burn at the stake.

But you don't have to take my word for it.. we are lucky to live in the age of information... Simply look it up.

Yet you should not name the Blessed Virgin Mary a Goddess.

There is just One God - The Holy Trinity.

Mary is not a goddess, she is a mere human being and will remain merely human in all eternity.

She is the most sublime creature and has been elevated by God above all creation, however.

The sun and moon etc have also another explication. Mary is the Woman of the Apocalypse, the Great Sign in Heaven, see Apoc chapter 12

wonderful slideshow. i remember learning about the lady of guadalupe when i took spanish in high school. only, my teacher didnt go into nearly as much detail about the history of the lady as you did. wonderful job :)
