Cute story, but if you actually think about what it means, it shows that Yawhe is a particularly impotent deity at this time. Using a flood when he could've just sent the angel of death like he did for Moses? What, was he waiting to level up? In any event, the flood never happened. The earth itself testifies to such.

And I'll be quite willing to go into that for many reasons, not the least of which is the heat geration during the forming of various types of carbonates. Dividing by 2 to get the average thickness of about 45 meters. This equals about 9 trillion cu meters of NaCl. (not 8 trillion) Now the density of salt is 2160 kg/cu meter, so this represents the evaporation of 540,000 cu km of seawater. The reason why God used a flood is not that hard to figure out. You have to learn about how God works.

1. The flood left evidence where something like miracle working would not.

2. The effects are here for all to see and be reminded of God's judgment on sin.

3. And most importantly, the warning time gave people a chance to repent.

God sounds pretty generous after all doesn't he?

After all the remaining portion of your commentary is not relevant, and rather paints a picture of a rather impotent deity when you consider what a kludge a flood is. Consider: can plants and animals sin? Why not just whack the offenders like Sodom and Gomorrah, or the 1st born for Moses? Was YWYH waiting to "level up"? ACHEIVEMENT UNLOCKED: GLOBAL DEATH MURDER BLAST!" It sounds like a petty child breaking it's toys.

I think the "sons of God" were the believers, the Holy, and they married the daughters of non-believers, the wicked; it does say "there were giants in those days" then it says, "and also AFTER that,(AFTER the giants) when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown" I think the offsping here are the old saints in the Bible

Three primary views: 1)fallen angels 2)powerful human rulers 3) godly descendants of Seth intermarrying with wicked descendants of Cain.

The Bible gives us no reason to believe that angels have a gender or are able to reproduce.

However it does not account for why the offspring were giants or heroes of old, men of renown. Further, why would God decide to bring the flood on the earth (Genesis 6:5-7) when God had never forbade powerful human males or descendants of Seth to marry

ordinary human females or descendants of Cain? The oncoming judgment of Genesis 6:5-7 is linked to what took place in Genesis 6:1-4. Only the perverse marriage of fallen angels with human females would seem to justify such a harsh judgment. The fact that Gods holy angels do not marry or engage in sexual relations does not mean the same is true of Satan and his demons. Angels are spiritual beings (Hebrews 1:14), they can appear in human, physical form (Mark 16:5).

Why do the fallen angels not do this more often? It seems that God imprisoned the fallen angels who committed this evil sin, so that the other fallen angels would not do the same (Jude 6)

Lambent, 2 things to consider, all of your knowledge comes from Man, the Bible says that one must be spiritually alive to understand God's word. You not being saved, means you believe what Man has to say rather that what his Creator, Jesus, has to say. 2, religions are man made and Satan inspired. All rely on you doing something to save yourself. Not so with Jesus and Christianity. Only one work is required and that is to believe, and even that can not be done with out God giving you faith.

I'm one of the rare ones who has studied many religions texts and their leaders, disciplines of science, and have an extensive knowledge of world mythology. I probably have a better picture of it all than most. There are brutal and beautiful things in the Bible. Hopefully you won't follow the brutal things and act on them. Why do you think Noah's Ark happened roughly 4.5K years ago? Study paleontology, geology, history, dating methods, etc. and you will conclude it didn't happen then. Pc
