  • Looks like BMW driver does not know how to drive in snow and like most BMW drivers is sure RWD is best at all times.

  • So, hand held camera huh? Whilst driving on snow, that may be a little dangerous don'tcha think?;-) The BMW would do better with a couple of bags of cement in the boot.

  • He's not an idiot. BMWs are rear-wheel drive making them terrible in the snow without snow tires. The guy taking a video sounds like a moron to me, not to mention jealous of the guy with a sweet ride...

  • Maybe just Maybe. He should let some air out of those tires. XD

  • So what? I'm positive the car would perform beautifully with proper equipment. Dont be one of those elitist morons that judge out of envy

  • Sounds like 130i or 135i.......and lokks like switched off the DSC. With DSC on he got clearly Traction........stupid Boy....

  • i know how the bmw driver feels. was in the same situation about 3 weeks ago...but get me on a dry orwet road and you'd GET SMOKED!!

  • umm i think any car is hard to drive in winter with the motor gunned

  • Haha all he needs are some good snow tires and he'd be ok. It's not the car it's the tires. I drove a RWD car for years in the snow and had minimal issues.

  • Just shows that the stereotypes of BMW drivers aren't so wrong after all. This guy clearly has no idea how to drive in the snow (I wouldn't wonder if he even has summer tyres on). In any case, if you start to lose grip, the last thing you shoudl do is accelerate (as he does here). EPIC FAIL!

  • lol the idiot driving the bmw if it is a 5 series.... has sport mode making the acceleration high, so the wheel rpm is at a higher level...... if he tuned it down, and if he had snow tires, it would be better.... and also if the car was X-drive(4 wheel drive)

  • Im pretty sure all BMW drivers are idiots. You cant be a genius and waste that much money on a car.

  • good luck without winter tires even awd would have problam without winter tires

  • thats cuz bmw pulls with rear tires. less weight less traction on snow.

  • I wouldn't care if this shitty 1 series drove off the mountain.

  • Comment removed

  • Summer TIRES !!!

  • Nice weather!

  • he s got driving skillz already

  • you drive a 93 chevy.................. Clearly this video was taken due to extreme jealousy

  • rwd and bmw on snow .... epic fail

    People! buy xDrive or Quattro

  • BMW ahahaaa...

    BMW and SNOW? AHAHAHAARRRAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!

  • This video just shows the importance of winter tires. The guy is not an idiot for having a BMW, he's an idiot for not having winter tires. The uploader of this video doesn't seem to understand that, and thinks his car is doing the work.

  • I see only one moron in this video, he sittin in 93 Chevy.

BTW. This BMW look great! BMW 135?

  • @BaxBmw

    LMAO!!!!

  • hey guys use tires for winter conditions and a awd. it´s much better than enything else. yeehaaa

  • Rear wheel drive and snow... Ouch. Most european cars thats why have FWD if they are not 4WD. He doesn't seem to drive particularly bad, but with RWD = no chance. better walk.

  • @Lightningchase1973 No, all he needs is winter tires. I'll take a BMW on winter tires over any FWD car with all seasons.

  • @RZEZZZ Thats true, indeed. But with equal tires (and for me, liviong in Austria = loads of snow ind Winter (and also on mountain with steep narrow roads that is: GOOD winter tires, nothing cheap, no all season) FWD or 4WD is still a huge diffrence.

  • Well done you for making it over the mountain. You cock sniffing bellend. I have no idea why people waste their time giving the internet aids with videos like this.

  • Well, a "BMW driver" is obviously becoming a well defined term all over the world. I wonder if the factory planned to achieve that image.

  • that guy probably didn't even want to get to the top of the mountain, he was probably just having fun in his BMW....... cos they are fun, and you don't have one, so don't be a hater, you suck, BMW's rule ! HA !

  • Obviously it's rear traction. Snow tires aren't enough.

BMW, Audi VW Mercedes ... are made for aesthetic and vanity people. The very strong German marketing is made on perfect "plastic" (not real) roads, for plastic people: plastic winners in plastic world. But, as you can see, real world is a bit different. Try with the rain too ... Wake up people, switch on the brain!!

  • @jonglin71

according to you, german roads, where german cars are the comon brands, have to be plastic as hell.

    Well, the aren't.

Even though the bad conditions, I have no problem in my 2004 3 Series diesel with good winter tires. And if the road gets worse, I have snow chains or traction spray.

Please, wake up, morons aren't german brands fault.

  • @Felyxorez

You are right but it is obviously morons that like driving german cars (well, at least it stands for BMW)

  • @Kajpajepolavailable thanks for insulting almost a whole country. please, screw you ;)

  • @Felyxorez

No, screw you. I didn't insult Germans, I prefer them to many other nations. I just said that unfortunately morons all over the world prefer German cars. It doesn't mean that everyone driving a German car is a moron. Use logic if you can!!

  • I assume that he drive with winter tires. But when he have no sandbag in his trunk, he has no chance. BMW are shit in winter without some additional weight in the trunk.

  • BMW are shit cars on snow , must stay in the garage!!!!!! in winter ah ah ah

  • He could throw some sang bags in his trunk, that would solve a lot......

  • mach der das mit absicht ("burnout") oder hat der sommerreifen drauf? :D

  • @zZdaknssZz sommerpellen

  • I see this everyday up here in Canada too. Only from behind a '98 Dodge Grand Caravan or a '11 Subaru Outback :P. People just don't realize the importance of having snow tires, especially with a Rwd car....

  • he just had to turn dsc on

  • Winter tires to expensive for a large premium car. :)

  • Yet another reason why i hug my M35X at the first sight of snow....

  • @MultiBmwe34 Actually the BMW owner needs to afford a set of winter tires. :)

  • @MultiBmwe34LOL. I can understan you.Lot of money for this.

    Thats a BIG MONEY WASTED-.

  • @MultiBmwe34 True, But BMW driver's are wankers...only Audi driver's are bigger pricks than you lot.

  • @scbonduk yeah you think alot, just go and fuck your suzuki alto

  • @MultiBmwe34 Being a BMW owner (by owner I mean having it as a company car or on finance, which isn't really affording one at all) you obviously don't think at all.

  • @scbonduk oke call the guy with the bmw in the movie and ask him! maybe is your dick from the finance company, and is your dick from your mom!

  • @MultiBmwe34 Ahh, the illegible ramblings of a brainless moron...must explain the BMW then! Tell me, what finance deal are you on with yours? Or is it a company car to act as a perk with your marketing/sales job?

  • @scbonduk the one who is brainless is you! start about finance and stuff! why do wanna know the finance from other people? so suddenly?

  • @MultiBmwe34 Dude...I can spell properly, you can't. You're sat on YouTube picking up on ever negative comment because you don't like people taking the piss out of what you thought was a car that makes your dick get bigger and make your wallet seem bigger than it is. The point about finance is that the vast majority of BMW (and Audi) drivers out there are either financed to the hilt on a payment plan for the car they don't even own or it's a company car, which they still don't own.

  • @scbonduk i dont care if i cant spell "dude " and you frustation about bmw and ( audi ) hahaha jesus you are really a weird guy! i think you just cant have the fact that my first reaction to this movie have 70 thumps up already! but also if i dont! i think you belong in a clinic hahah weird guy with your finance haha and your bmw and audi! '''dude" its a car ! you like it or not! and now get back to your clinic! i laugh my ass off! haha

  • @MultiBmwe34 Hahaha...yea, I'm not the one tearing into everyone who laughs at BMW owners here in order to defend my own honour and cover up the fact that my dick is tiny and my brain is small, yet I'm the idiot?! You spell like a retard and obviously that then reflects your retards job which you then used to get a BMW you don't officially own...good going!

  • @scbonduk yeah fine nice story, i dont care.. but wat is your point? you are really horny about your anti bmw audi obsession, i think you need some sleep, bye

  • @MultiBmwe34 u suck..i bet u got an bmw

  • @Mihayr36 yes and u belongs to the other 138 suckers

  • @MultiBmwe34 get an subaru u pussy///u cant even get out from ur parkin space

  • winter tyres needed...

  • wtfff the best car on snow is BMW

  • Needs winter tyres! and a couple of 25kg bags of salt/grit or whatever in the boot/trunk just to wiegh it down for extra traction! :)

  • Looks like a boss drifting to me.

  • Ironically, BMW driver's are supposed to be "driving enthusiasts", with more than a passing interest in automobile magazines - same publications that Tire Rack advertises their Winter Wheel/Tire Combination Sales before the season starts. Guy probably spends all his money on the car payments, nothin' left for 4 seasonal-use wheels and tires.

  • I live in orange county, ny....where was this exactly?? thanks

  • @69porsche69 The mountain in between Sterling Forest and Greenwood Lake

  • @RuffRhyno beautiful landskape, how far is aspen away?

  • @RuffRhyno lol yup been over this mountain plenty...it's dangerous even when its dry out haha

  • it's automatics gearshift it's normal...

  • typical bmw driver too stupid to buy winter tires.

  • Next time use an AUDI QUATTRO!

  • Fail :)))

  • I love BMW but must have xdrive!

  • You should have gavin him a tap in the ass sending him for ride.

  • Opposite drifting FTW!!

  • Der soll sich einen quattro kaufen

  • the same problems every winter with bmw idiots. buy a real car

  • @jojajo2707 Ummm, it is a real car. Just needs snow tires, like every other car in winter, rwd or not. ANY car without snow tires is just stupid to try to go over a mountain pass in winter.

  • LOL "my car had no problems with traction" brrrmMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmMMMMMmmmMMMMMMM

  • rear wheel drive! pants in the snow!

  • watch?v=OmelytEVY8A

  • no winter tires... traction control off... really stupid

  • second driver not better

  • 325xi Da bomb in winter !!!!

  • freunde am fahren

  • Bad tyres and bad driver. I live in Norway, where winters have a lot of snow and ice. And I have driven beemers for 10 years now. Despite some prejudices, they are actually very good wintercars.

  • @kukikano79 you drive motorcycles in the snow?

  • @miniinverter No. Why do you ask? We don't have snow all year around if that's what you thought.

  • look at you in your suv acting like your oh so better than this driver id like to see you drive his car without spinning out especially with some prick on your ass video taping you just ready to criticize

  • Who the fuck takes his BMW out for winter buy a fucken winter car/truck if u got the money for a BMW u should have an impreza for winter IT A QUESTION OF LIFE OR DEATH!

  • @xxplosive55 what about the X5 with X-Drive?^^ Drving in these conditions always requires some preparations, but it`s not entirely dependend on the car alone. Take me for example: I life in the Alps in Europe, the Tyrol to be precise. We always have tons of snow. This winter we have between 2-3 meters. My car is a Boxster S 986 with winter tires and I have no probs at all. Obviously, I can`t drive it like in summer. You just need to be careful and know what you and your car can do.

  • No winter tires. I drove my 5 series uphill in snow with winter tires and it wasnt such a show. Or maybe he had switched off DSC?

If he had summer tires, I wonder if he made it down ok. Downhill, brakes are completely unreliable so he should really know how to do engine braking. Even that wont help much going downhill on summer tires with RWD (which when engine braked on snow is exactly like pulling the hand brake). Not to speak of curves without brakes when the front tires wont grip to turn.

  • winter tires or not, once they get cold they lose traction, doesn't matter WHAT kind of vehicle its on, tanks have a hard time in the snow too you know.

  • feeling proud in your pos chevy? gimme a break

  • He doesnt have winter tyres, he is not an idiot.

  • @ekilice

How is not having winter tyres not being an idiot? Here in Germany a law was passed a few years ago that requires you to use "appropriate tyres" in the winter. Fortunately. Some people have to be told what to do in detail it seems.

  • SLOW in SNOW IDIOT!!!!!

  • Buy himself an Audi Quattro <3

  • Well I am a 1 serie owner to, and I drive in snowy mountens areas. In first place you need winter tires en second let the electronics do the job. He had pushed the DTC (dynamic sability control) button. Thats for if you want to play with the car. If you trying to go up on a snowy road just let de electronics sort it out it make sure it won`t break out and let the back wheels controls push the car savely.

  • He was drifting yo!

  • i would drift all through every corner in that car that thing would be 100% sideways all through winter if i was behind the wheel of that beast!

  • @STREETRACEN4U That's exactly my style of driving in winter! Keep drifting fun! :)

  • @driftoholik yeah i try to drift every corner i get too, when ppl are in the car with me they freak out screaming thinking they are gonna die hahaha its hilarious. and the best thing about is if a cop pulls me over i will explain how my car is very light and slides alot during the winter lol

  • @STREETRACEN4U cool mate! Throw in some vids on YT, like I did :) Let's show ppl what's it all about. KEEP DRIFTING FUN!

  • @driftoholik yeah i will try to get some up soon if i can!

  • Just because someone can afford one (or their parents can afford to buy them one), doesn't mean they know how to drive one.

  • Its not problem with BMW,its problem with inexperienced driver,NOT idiot ...

Do not use breaks in bmw on icy road

  • Too much torque..

  • I love such track conditions - then it's fun to drive

  • too much accelerator, no snow tires and not enough common sense to stay the fuck home.

  • when the snow melts, you'll still be driving a pos.

  • I live up in the mountains in Norway and I drive my 1-series all winter.. It's great on snow, the only problem is you morons in other countries driving on snow with summertires.. It's just plain stupidity and not at all the cars fault! It's got a great chassis and an even weightdistribution wich makes it a blast to drive. Even on snow.. On WINTERtires.

  • @NytZor The fool has enough money to buy a new RWD BMW but NOT proper tires? That's the issue. There are plenty of AWD and FWD cars that are driven on ALL SEASONs in snow without issue.

  • @NytZor You make it sound like only people in Norway use winter tires? Just because 1 idiot here doesn't, doesn't mean we all don't. I am sure there is someone in Norway right now not using winter tires to.

  • @NytZor

    Completely agree with you !

  • @NytZor

"It's great on snow, the only problem is you morons in other countries driving on snow with summertires.. It's just plain stupidity and not at all the cars fault! "

What shall I write...100% correct...You have to buy the RIGHT TIRES...NO SUMMER TIRES....

  • @NytZor RWD has always been worse than FWD in snow - not saying that one of these BMWs with the right tires are bad in snow though. :)

  • @NytZor yep with winter tires it would have gone up with no problems ... FWD is better in winter but RWD is manageable to if you are not dumb .

@RuffRhyno maybe you had no problems because you had winter tires ! even a car with FWD traction can be dangerous with summer tires.

  • @NytZor yes only norway has winter tyres and cow milk

  • @NytZor In my opinion that's only one point. The other one, that most people accelerate when the car loses grip, so it loses it even more. So don't accelerate too much and you're fine. Just my 2 cents. ;)

  • @NytZor So true... I live in Canada and I have a 335i, just put WINTER tires on and your good to go... Some people are REALLY REALLY DUMB

  • @NytZor Actually more correct is that 'normal' (read non-sporty) tend to have M+S (Mud and Snow) or all-season tires, which have limited top speed, and generate more road noise, while sporty cars tend to have performance tires (summer tires), and I bet this BMW either did not expect snow, or did not check his tires (they would also have less treads :). Problem is to find right sized snow tires as they did not use to come in 19/20" and low profile, and large discs prevent the use of 15".

  • @NytZor please! everyone.. Summertire can be bought at some stupid yard sale, but when it comes to Wintertires.. you should really go for quality.. PLEASE throw your money out, if you can i am not saying this ironically.. Summertires dont really matters, but Wintertires are just lifesaving important

  • @NytZor Totally agree with you. Same case in France, 5 centimeters of snow and it's end of world!! lol

  • Too bad bad he spent all his money on a summer car. Damn elbow licker.

  • a 1 series in snow is just fail

  • lmfao love you for this video ahhaahahhahahahaha

  • i drove a rwd car for about 5 winters and i got through it. at first i tried with summer performance tires and well, it was a bitch. switched to all seasons and it had no problems. still more unstable than a fwd car (because the power is being delivered from the rear, which is much lighter than the front end), especially on turns, but you can get through it if you know how to drive, as long as the snow isn't too deep.

  • BMW is pretty comfortable with snow despite the rear drive...

It's the fact that hes giving it too much gas - every kid knows that -.-'

  • By the looks of things your not too smart either your in a minivan and you started sliding don't call him an idiot you never know where people have to go!

  • u cant buy brain

  • your just mad your poor

  • bmw rear drive sucks in winter... whats wrong?

  • this bmw driver is dumb ..... winter tires needed?

  • Looks like summer tires to me, so yes, idiot is appropriate.

  • Well have a BMW myself and this my friend, just looks like very poor tires... Not an idiot or bad car...

  • Wow!...someone feels threatened. Remember though - When the snow thaws, you'll still be the peasant driving the 93 Chevy.

  • @GlobalGLader hahah

  • If he has a brand new bimmer and you dont doesnt mean that he's an idiot. It may be opposite

  • needs xDrive :D

  • In the video it looks like your shitty Chevy got stuck and you had to turn your camera off .... :)

  • Too much power and rear wheel drive. My last choice of car for snow driving. Expecting him to "pull over" is rather arrogant and stupid too, just cos you think you're an all-american hero in your Chevvy.

  • it's because americans can't drive and specially not in european cars, it should be banned for them because you retards can't do anything right

  • bmws are not this bad on snow, its the owners fault not the car. idiot makes the nice car look bad. shame - could have went to a more worthy owner

  • put some real snow tyres and not 4 season tyres shit

we drive beamer over 30 years. Difficult to drive on snow but this???

  • BMW - Master of the road!! but not snow..

  • It is well known that RWD cars have more problems getting their power on the street in adverse conditions like snow and ice. On the other hand: on GOOD roads with ample grip, the FWD cars have harder times in putting their power on the street. Just have a look at all those hot hatches with nearly 200 BHP spinning their wheels when they try to take off at a traffic light. My M3 with 321 BHP does so much better then :-)

  • you were spinning out too.....idiot!

  • I tried driving my 335i (rwd) in about 3-4" of snow tonight around the street and had just as much trouble as this guy. My car got stuck 3 times, I turned off traction control, tried rocking it back and forth, etc. I don't think he's an idiot because his car is not getting traction, maybe he has to drive it home from work, etc. Or just seeing what it handled like in the snow like me.

  • idiot bought the 1 series lmfao. what a piece of shit.

  • @pentium2028 You know nothing

  • @pentium2028: A guy who names himself "pentium" wants to tell others what a piece of shit is? EPIC FAIL

  • Hey may have not made it over the mountain.... but he had a damn good time trying!

  • he cant fucking drive!

  • I see to idiots. Maybe the biggest idiot is the one tailgating.

  • Looks to me like the guy behind him was having just as much trouble with traction, though not as dramatically. It's all about the tires regardless of the drive-line setup. You stop and turn better with snow tires as well, something AWD, RWD, or FWD has zero effect on.

  • sounds like someone is jealous they can't afford a bmw

  • are you recording your steering wheel?

  • If this was the freak storm that laid 800,000 of us out of power in Connecticut, I could understand this person. So many got caught by this late fall snow and not prepared, I'm sure the person probably didn't have snow tires yet. Wonder if the Teutels at OCC or PJD tested any bikes that day?..lol...

  • Few realize the most crucial necessity is snow/winter tires. Whether you have AWD, 4WD, FWD or RWD. Being that your car is an older FWD vehicle, you more than likely have narrow all-seasons. This BMW 1-series has fatter summer or high perf. all-seasons not meant for snow. If he had on a set of narrow aggresive winter tires, he'd blow you away, and out stop and steer you. I own a RWD BMW and have driven it in many snow storms, and regualarly out run others.

  • @1984AP Bullshit. Another delusional RWD owner who swears to god his car is a snowmobile. Dream on.

  • yep ive done this with my bimmer, figured out they are not snowmobiles

  • No traction = Idiot? You are the only idiot my friend.

  • @sussamzay No winter tyres and not pulling over for people who can actually drivein the snow makes him an idiot.

  • @sussamzay

He clearly had no winter tyres. Then using the car in that weather, especially on such a road, is being an idiot, yes.

  • @sussamzay not only winter-tires needed..also a bit of good footwork...just listen how he steps on the gas...worst you can do actually..he should have shifted up and try to keep control of his rear-wheels . I drive summer-tires all year round and i can do it .

I maybe trained , but hell , it isn't that difficult either ! Use your brains and think what the car is doing and what you as driver should do to compensate!
