Yeah, early early NWO was such a trip. They hadn't established the whole angle, or even their characters yet. I remember being glued to Nitro at this time because the whole dynamic was so new and different. That first Nitro I couldn't wait to see Hogan come out just to do a promo, because him being a heel was a real freak-out. Was glued to this Clash too, waiting to see how Hogan would wrestle as a heel. It was also funny to see Flair as the babyface (though he was still a heel). Good times

@rlouie05 Technically, Flair was a heel still. Of course, the whole NWO invasion de facto turned everyone in WCW face. Though I always thought it weird - even in my mark days - that courageous babyfaces would instantly turn into snivelling cowardly heels once they turned, I think it was better that they dropped the Hulk-Up routine from heel Hogan's repertoire.

Sucks when Flair got too old to do the apron glide move right (like here). When he would play face, in his prime, that would have ended in him scaling the top buckle with amazing speed and dropping a big thump or cross body.

You're right,1990 was a bad year for WCW. An incompetent named Jim Herd was running the company. He came up with such forgettable characters as Big Josh(who used to bring a bear to the ring) & The Ding-Dongs(don't ask!) He hated Flair & tried to change his character(he wanted Flair to cut his hair,get an earring & carry a sword & shield to the ring!) However,Flair's Bash PPV match against Sting was great. Hogan vs Warrior was probably Hogan's best match,Warriors too, & that's not saying much!

Flari is just jealous that Hogan Michales Race and Angle put on some better matches then he did. And he's DEFIFIENTLY angry with hogan, because he was so OVERRATED, and put butts in the seat. But what a minute hogan is overrated but you forgotten the likes of Crock and Rustin. They were overrated as well. YOU must be the new fan, you need to watch some of the Crock's and Rustins etrances and match them with hogans. Because either you're deaf or stupidly blind.

LOL hogan put on one of the all time great matches even if the guy was badly injuried. The Rock and Austin can act better? LOL take away Austin's theme song, ECW, Bad words, middle fingers, and you have a guy who looks like he works in construction! The Rock, all you need to do for him is take away his if you smell, his eyebrow, *the rock says*, know your role, and he's nothing but a failed attempt of being made a good guy. Rock had flashy moves which was shit but still he had more then Austin: Rock bottom, people's elbow, Rock's clothesline. Hogan has put on better matches then Flair's 60+ ironman like matches that are shit.

@HGeneAnthony Early NWO (as in July-Aug 1996) was a bizarre time with people not sure who was heel and face, heels teaming with faces, and Hogan as a heel which no one had seen (remember this is before YouTube and DVDs) unless they saw Hogan back in 1980 in WWF or in Japan. In addition to the one time only Hulk-Up here, this was one of the first times Hogan missed the leg drop (Warrior aside), though it would be come a regular occurrence. That alone freaked me out.
