  • For reloads checkout youtube videos "Travis Haley Pro-Tip: Speed Reload" & "Blackhawk Tips with Todd Jarrett Tactical Reloads" for some great info.

FS has some good info but has some techniques that have wasted movements & takes focus off of the area/threat. 6:37 Looking down to check mag, point pistol down toward ground, etc. Compare the FS techniques with Magpul, Haley Strategic & Todd Jarrett & decide which is most effective.

    :)

  • @SafeArmsReview There's a wealth of good information out there. It's a great time to be a firearms enthusiast! :)

  • I found it interesting that they covered the "civil suit" issue. I got into a youtube "discussion" regarding this issue a year or so ago with a guy who claimed expertise in "case law" regarding defensive shooting and he said it was highly unlikely to be sued. And OJ didn't kill Nicole either but he lost the civil suit.

Anyway, my attorney got a little pissed at me so I had to delete all of my comments. No matter how justified, there is a high possibility you will get sued.

  • @lostburro

Just this week there was an incident where a guy tried to run down some US Marshall's with his car and was shot dead by them. Now his family has retained a lawyer and is suing. No one is immune when deadly force is used.

  • Great v-log. All made sense to me. Inspired to take my next coarse.

  • Just a reminder... Frontsight training says to drop the mag if its empty (emergency reload). Its the tactical reload that you retain the magazine. Overall, I'm impressed of how well you could repeat what you learned. I remember my first time at frontsight. I learned so much that I almost felt overloaded. My 2nd time there things made much more sense and felt much less stressed.

  • in a defensive situation and some one is shooting at me. there not doing that to scare me. they are shooting to kill. a head shot is a quick kill. a body shot is a easy shot.

  • Nice vid Scout. Fun to hear what you learned each day. Lots to think about.

  • @Cr0cket20 Lots to practice... :)

  • How would you overall rate your experience with Front Sight? Also Thanks for making videos. It's not easy and you do a great Job.

  • @wilcox1219 This is my first real training experience of this sort, but I can't imagine a better facility or better instruction.

  • @TheLateBoyScout Bro you GOTTA attend a dynamic pistol class &/or a pistol class with Travis Haley or Chris Costa.

Great stuff that goes to the next level.

    :D

  • @SafeArmsReview Time and money, man... time and money. :)

  • Enjoying the vids thank you.

  • Lot of good info, I like what you mention about the legal part anybody with a ccw or homeowner should consider reading more about the topic and getting more involve, I like to recommend Mitch Vilos attorney at law for self defense cases with a firearm.

There is so much to learn thank you

  • @revistadearmas Excellent point - thanks for bringing that up. I'll check him out.

  • thanks for taking the time out of your day to get this information out there.

if i ever was a gun owner in the future (hard to be where i am) i think a professional training class and running drills like this will actually be as helpful as it can possiblyget! thanks man.

  • @PaiRaiUno Glad to help. Thanks for watching.

  • @JustifiedForce They probably need to go to Boy Scouts class.

  • Nice vids Boy Scout.

  • Thanks for such detailed reviews, great info!

  • great series, interesting scanning approach of up and down while moving side to side.

  • @drzmanproject Yeah. I hadn't thought of that before, but makes sense, and it's easy to do.

  • Two to the chest and one to the head = mozambique drill

  • @TheSurvivalBookshelf True, but they DO NOT teach that at F.S. If the attacker does not stop attacking you after two to the thoracic cavity, then one to the cranial ocular cavity is appropriate - otherwise it's murder.

Other places teach other things, but that is what Front Sight teaches.

  • Did you get to meet Ignatious Piazza ? That guy is such a tool , and should be banned from the firearms world .

  • @chavezchavez556 No I did not. Interesting perspective. How did you reach that conclusion?

  • @TheLateBoyScout I know a couple people who have worked for him . One that still does . Uggg I feal sorry him ...

  • Fanastc info, really interesting stuff IMO. Thanks so much for uploading this vids!!

  • @2dividedby3equals666 My pleasure. Thanks for watching.

  • @JustifiedForce Wow, thank you!

  • Definately a good class if your a beginner and have absolutely no training. Military and LEO waste of money

  • @JustifiedForce Funny thing is that every time I am out there, there are plenty of cops and military guys taking training who don't share your opinion.Perhaps they know something you don't.

  • @ZombieTactics Perhaps they are the military and LEO that shouldnt be. You think everyone in the profession is smart?

  • @JustifiedForce Data Points: 90% of current in-service LEO have received no training past their (very basic) POST-level courses. About that same percentage never fires their pistol or practices except when getting prepped for (very basic) yearly re-qualification. The vast majority of military are never issued pistols at all. It's not about whether they are "smart", it's about knowing what kind of standards are involved. Given these facts, your comments lack knowledgeable perspective.

  • @ZombieTactics You dont have to tell me percentages and that the vast majority of military are not issued pistols. I would know because I have served my country (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and I am now a current LEO. The front sight training I have seen so far from TheLateBoyscout is nothing new to me. So by me saying it would be a waste of money sounds about right. And unlike others who do not pratice reguIarly, I do. I'm sure my knowledge far exceeds yours. Go comment on somone elses post.

  • @JustifiedForce If you know the percentages, then your initial comment makes no sense. How could someone who wasn't even issued a handgun not benefit from some decent training? If you are in the minority who have gotten better skills, how does it benefit your less skilled brother-in-arms to foster a sense of false security and discourage them from doing better? Why the bragging about your skills "far exceeding" mine ... is there a point? It's not all about you or me, or is that not obvious?

  • @JustifiedForce I've still only covered the first two days. Watch the next two installments before you pass judgement. I may have a "closing thoughts" video about it too.

  • @TheLateBoyScout, I'll be sure to watch. Like I said your a great youtuber and i watch all your vids!

  • @JustifiedForce That's a stupid comment man. If you live in Wa. State the L.E.O shoot first and usually go to court and loose their jobs.

  • Thanks for the updates from your front sight training.
