  • Oh yah I also think Magua was a badass character but unfortunately he had to be the bad guy in the movie, what a shame... could have used those mad fighing skills against the french.

  • I like this song I can like totally picture the mohicans running through the forest but I somehow also picture me running with them it's wierd, but I guess this is why this song is soooooo EPIC .

  • well Im here 4u

  • hehe let me show you how far i can go

  • Love this!!! Thank you

  • lol I am a Hot 18 Girl and I am here to have fun

  • like the indian dude so cute

  • I remember getting scared when I saw this film as a little child and the guy was burnt on the fire :/

  • human survival in the wilderness is a fragile thing. the public of the superpowers today have themselfs choose to leave the old ways and become even weaker in their own fucked up society. if anyone even BOTHERED to listen to the natives, perhaps they would have learned a thing or two.... but no..... the current "human" race just continues to dissapoint.

  • wakes memories of forgotten hope mod for batlefield 1942... hours of my life at the loading screen while this played...

  • Imagine taking a shit to this...

  • I'm British, and whenever anyone calls the native Americans from the 18th century brutes I say 'You call them savages, I call them allies'.

  • @NathanH97 what? Indians were never allies.

  • @EnLugal they were. In the American revoultionary war, most native Americans sided with the British as they knew they would eventually leave yet they knew the Revoultionaries wanted a permanant settlement.

  • @EnLugal Indian tribes throughout American History have fought in every war on this continent. There were even tribes allied with the Confederacy during the Civil war.

  • @NathanH97 I see what you did there , well played sir

  • Most of the Indians were cool, but Magua was an asshole.

  • Each still image is a masterpiece!

  • i think it sounds kind of like Onimusha 1 OST (DISC 1) / 03 - Samanosuke Theme (Copy pate). It might be the same song but with out some things.

  • People... This is not a Scottish tune. Dougie McLean composed the Scottish fiddle reel that appears at the midpoint of the film (where it is played in-movie). That tune is called the Gael or the Kiss. It is reused as the backing track for the music in the climax, Promontory, but the rest of Promontory was composed for THIS film by Trevor Jones, with Native American drumming. This track (Elk Hunt, and the Main Title Theme) is ALL Mohicans. Sure it has some Scottish and some Indian infuence.

  • kiss my monkey

  • that is such a beautiful movie, i had it on VHS and watched it about 6146856 times when i was a child,

  • @evilmonkeyinmyroom me too! ....and i wore out the soundtrack on tape.

  • Urban Ninja allowed me to hear this song.

  • That´s real music - No Pop or Rock or other genre. That´s music!

  • Hey braut ha ha we still have lands with resources in them.you think everything has been taken away from us.and we are not indians, indians are in india and in hollywood.we still have good clean running water.aye

  • ho ya FH2! :D

  • @bengacris

Glad someone else immediately thinks of that when they hear this song...those were the days... :)

  • "Ta-tun-ka!"

  • this is an awesome movie and i saw that painting at the art museum

  • epic ninja urban ninjaaa

  • This is so intence, you can feel the urgency! What a great movie!

  • Battlefield: Forgotten Hope, loading theme xD

  • Magua was cool.

  • Reminds me of the Angels and Demons theme. Amazingly powerful music.

  • One of the best songs from film I've ever heard. A true composer can make a film score enjoyable for something other than background music during a scene.

  • What's the artwork you used at the very beginning? It looks so familiar!! Thanks for uploading!

  • @giuseppi77 It is supposed to be Scene from the Last of the Mohicans by Thomas Cole.

  • @giuseppi77 D. Spinotti used the paintings of Hudson valley artist Albert Bierstadt, to give the look to his film.

I did not Google that painting.

  • Great score 5/5

  • For those of you that enjoyed Daniel Day-Lewis' superb acting in this movie, I highly recommend his other fine films-There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York, The Crucible and his breakout roll My Left Foot.

Daniel Day-Lewis is truly one of the finest(and pickiest!) actors of our generation.

  • Google with the option:

“Interdicto Restitutorio « Pesimo Servicio …capitulo Ecuador”

Read the comment is very important.

The life of a good person is in dangerous.

  • This is Epic, One of the best sound tracks ever made and when you listen to it you need it up LOUD so you can get "lost in it

  • One of my fav Movies ! :)

  • EXPLOREDIA,com

  • I listen to this when i run in forest , it gives me endurance and willpower!

  • Check my cover for "The Last of the mohicans" soundtrack! Thx

  • This works better than viagra. Excuse me I have to go wipe now!

  • That's really a great choice of images for the movie. I love that you put in some stills of Magua, too. He was definitely a bad guy, but a great baddie: not the cardboard cutout villain, but with an understandable motive and great acting. So glad you put this together because the music is so haunting.

  • @Jelllyne

    Word, so much.

Honestly, Internet and millions of people on this world and there are still people around who actually have a problem with someone not sharing their (not) liking a _music video_, for crying out loud. Tolerance? Sure, when political correctness calls for it.

  • Beef jerky anyone?

  • 1million Oscars!!!

  • @Jelllyne Seriously, talk about beating a dead horse.

  • A song is a piece of music that is being sung. This might be a piece of music, a track a suite or whatever - but it´s not a song. Come on, you know what a song is, don´t you?

  • brilliant movie, anyone know if the whole movie is or can be downloaded ?

  • 23 retards =)

  • dont they play this song at the white sox games?

  • lol Forgotten Hope mods

  • WTF!? 23 PEOPLE MUST BE DEAF when they clicked this

  • Who Was/ is The last of the Mohecans. I hope you are still out there.

  • Fantastic movie and an awsome soundtrack.

  • The strings are absolutely beautiful...off and on beats

  • this movie is realy great. but we must also consider what realy happened. the natives were massacred by the french, the british and the u.s.a. goverment, but nobody actualy cares about the fact.

  • @masterofpuppets636 What I remember most about this movie is the scene where the chief cuts the heart out of the british soldier. Brutality cuts both ways.

  • I forgot how good this movie is...this song at the beginning sets the scene superbly...powerful and rousing...I could have sworn it was a fight scene and yet they were simply hunting. Then the way they honour the deer...you could tell it was gonna be something special...a beautiful, stunning film.

  • Are the 20 people who disliked this mentally retarded?

  • Its so funny that Wes Studi was Eytukan in Avatar

  • Great cinematography in this

  • i has been where the make the movie is a beautiful park,oh man i wanna go back to nc,

  • a very great film

  • beutiful music

  • Wow, such powerful music!

  • The Elk Hunt is from THE best film score, ever. This track was even used as the trailer for Legends of the Fall, with good reason. Stirring, beautiful, timeless.

  • this song is a masterpiece

  • DANIEL DAY LEWIS ROCKS!!!

  • Oh cool the Avatar

  • Chance is something that plays with a man's life.

    SENECA

All my Y.T. friends be well.

  • Mohicans should lead Canada not the damn canadians, they are the obriginal people. Down with the Canadian Gov .

  • @prettyboy682 The Vikings should lead America, Not the damn colonists! They came to America first!

  • hi. i`m looking for remix of this theme what is in movie youtube@com/watch?v=4frmjSry0iI&feature=related from 0:20.Its very important to me.Any fan of the Mohicans can help?

    Regards

  • The earliest North American settlers from Europe

were running from religious persecution...and had great respect for the Native Americans...you need to read original accounts...or you don't know real history...just someone's point of view they want to impose on you.

  • Who was the native american around 0:40?

  • Character: Magua, actor: Wes Studi

  • @hryzunik Studi is a badass ;)

  • @hryzunik

He was also in Avatar, now this movie is one Cameron borrowed for that movie. Don't you think?

  • @MyTbradley Why do you ask I shouldn't know all the indian swines

  • @brannify indian swines? are you serious? are you american?

  • @MyTbradley The actor is Wes Studi. spoke only Cherokee untill he went to school.

  • @MyTbradley" two dogs humping "

  • @MyTbradley Wes Studi also played Geronimo and a Pawnee warrior in Dances with Wolves. Fantastic, very intense actor.

  • @MyTbradley wes studi

  • Indians didn't write ! Treaties were written by white men to fuck over the Indians. And the whites did a good job of it !

  • @ccrich100 hell yeah! Dirty blanket asses!

  • You show your lack of knowledge of history I'm afraid...as early as the 1600's in north American there were beautiful and long standing treaties...and Native Americans who were itinerant Christian ministers...what a few do...should not be blamed on all. Study...then write.

  • @Staymewithflagons what the fuck did you just smoke? Or has something penetrated your anus wayyyyy up to your head..if you have one?

  • What has changed reagrding any treaties??

  • lets not forget the numorous broken treaties the colonist pulled on the natives. employ them to fight then screw them anyways. nice one jerks.

  • there's a stategy called "divide and conquer"...its used to control people...if you hate another race then you are accepting control. leaders n warmongers have been emplotying it fer centuries and unfortunately some folk lap it up...

  • ...the first North Amreican settling Europeans came running from persecution for their quiet faith...and had great respect for the Native Americans...start to read original accounts...peoples diarys etc...not later revisionist point of view history...or you will not know the whole truth....and if something is not the whole truth...then it is not the truth.

  • Fuck all this racism. The only thing Americans should be worrying about is NWO, and China invading the USA. All this other stuff here is history, tho good history, STILL HISTORY!

  • the urban ninja.

  • Everybody calm down !!! This is about the music guys ! Enjoy this masterpiece and stop debating about some shit that happened so long ago ! It's OVER ! Get over IT !

  • @simivalley1908

I understand what you're trying to say but...

You don't go to Holocaust videos and scream at the Jews to "get over IT"

    You just don't.

  • @LolCaramelz I would! It's over, get over it!

  • @LolCaramelz i agree, the evil that the europeans had done to this people will not be forgotten before the brits, americans, and any countries that bothered them is gone.

  • @simivalley1908 Yes, it is amazing music, but you only need to look at the disgusting poverty on a present day Native American reservation to know that it's not 'over'. The Native Americans have, and are still being treated absolutely appallingly by the whites.

  • @TheBrautigans HAHA move to Oklahoma and you can tell me exactly how bad the Indians have it here. In Arizona or New Mexico its pretty bad living, but those are the only places that i've seen the Indian tribes. I have yet to see tribes up north.

  • If you've read the book (and history) you will realize that barbarism, tradgedy and hatred ran on both sides of the fence.

  • white race dont need to apologize... They are slaves of the crown and have no saying in the decision making process. people of all races have been living together for a long time. the problem is that we are part of a puppet show. and I rest my case...

  • SpAcYmEn, As a European you should be quiet because you have warped views & know little of the subject.

  • Don't be so racist, kiddo.

  • as a European i really must apoligize for the behaviour of our forefathers.

as a European i really must say sorry for founding the United States.

it was verry wrong from Europe!

  • Don't appologize. It was the best thing Europe ever did.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

  • i dont think america can handle any more tried poor huddled masses

  • sure we can

  • i guess ur ancestors were native americans.

  • @cgmorvx1 Your ancestors were native of Europe (:

  • huh?

  • Yeah alotta people don't realize that in most cases it wasn't Natives vs Europeans. At least in the beginning,Natives fought natives and Europeans fought other Europeans. The same happened in Asia,Africa and everywhere man exists.

  • yeah but europeans didnt wipe out an entire race in Asia &Africa but they did in the America oh sorry i mean left only six.

  • i love the music! the film was ok. not my type i guess

  • LOTM did a really good job at looking at how the wars and ethnic tensions that existed amongst Native peoples prior to the Europeans arrival manifested its self in the form of alliances between diffrent groups of Natives and non-Natives.

  • Great part when the mohican warrior is defeated, so the suicide of the girl

  • loved the way the 'baddie' Indians were so cold blooded! So scary! - more so than a horror movie

  • u mean the huron indians*

  • My favorite movie. THe best of his kind, great actors, great story, great ending. 1000000/10

  • yes and story abuot how indians were killed...

  • So great. So intensive. Great

  • this song is EPIC

  • This song reminds me of WWII. Guess it's because I heard it so many times in the BF1942 mod Forgotten Hope, which used to use it as battle loading theme in the early versions.

  • Yeah but actually it just used to be (the battle loading screen song), but they changed it in the latest versions. However I always kept this one (from the Last of the Mohicans) as a backup to replace with the new ones, as I like it better.

  • Some of the movies are simply timless piece of classic that will continue to hold our attention like this one. Yeah, And DDL was simply wickedly gorgeous!

  • and yet its still not on Blue ray disk :(

  • This theme gives me the chills..

  • One of my favourite movies, I used to listen to that song (I had the soundtrack) when I went up north to go hunting. Those days are over now, though.

  • i think dis movie is 19 years old freak still look fresh

  • one of my top 10 best movies of all time!!!

  • I judge a person by how much they like last of the mohicans. Their level of D-baggery is inversely proportional to how much they like that movie.

  • urban ninja!

  • My favourite movie of all time,I LOVE IT

  • Comment removed

  • ... Nothing more to say to you.

  • This was a great movie

  • RUSSELL MEANS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah, definitely makes me want to scalp someone haha

  • somethings your soul understands before your eyes you feel the truth she whispers from deep within , she will not be denied , open you wings and fly , like the smoke be free

  • fucking awesome !!!

  • This is quite possibly one of the best 10 movies ever made, as far as I'm concerned.

  • totally agree, and the amazing music sets it off just right..

  • @xsara123 yes,i agree with you.one of the best.My favorite movie.

  • i just loved the emotions flowing though this video, the feeling just flowed through me, it was just so strong and compelling. It was really inspirational it just hit every nerve in my body, i felt the blood rushing through me. It was just Exceptional!!

    Just Sensational!!!!

    Brilliant!!!!!!!!

    Magnificent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Life- changing!!!!

  • lol its the SAME tune as the theme tune but with little Trills !

  • the original tune is called "gale" from scotland and is played with pipes.

listen to that its old tune

  • Not "gale" but "Gael." Written by Dougie MacLean. It means "The Scotsaman"

However, this extract only echoes "The Gael" which is better heard at during the chase near the end.

  • this is song is in a battlefield1942 mod called forgotten hope, and it plays when the maps loads, and i always wanted to know what it is called, now i know :)

    awesome song :)

  • man is this film old-but still awsome.

  • Actually the Chinese were sea faring long before the Europeans. In the past the power was more in the East, however after the defeat of the Spanish armada, Britain's navy ruled the world for over 200 years enabling the country to establish one of the richest empires ever known, the effects of which are still felt in our world today. Rule Britannia rule!!

  • 5+5******** spectacular.

    massimo

  • great movie, love the music , just beautiful

  • eric schweig is so beautiful :)

  • go white sox

  • makes me wanna beat the white man for raping my land and taking my women...haha jk ;) but seriously .... Yeeeaaaahhhh this gets me pumped during workouts....

  • This song suited the BF1942 Mod: Forgotten Hope perfectly! =)

  • First of all, what a great film. Secondly, I have come to believe that colonization was an eventuality - could have been North Americans invading Europe if they'd been quicker to develop the technology (ex.gun powder). But it wasn't that way. Humanity originating in the Middle East / North Africa simply had more time and developed superior firepower first (through gruesome conflict), and they prevailed over their fellow man in the Americas. Dusty's correct: human history is bloody.

  • Yeah your right, Humans came to North America c. 13,000 BCE and Europe 40,000 BCE, thats almost 20,000 years. Of course most of the techs the Europeans used to colonize (gun powder, the compass and water tight bulk heads) all came from China. The Chinese visited N.A before Columbus did, it could have easily been them. "Natives" came to north America 15K BCE, from Siberia, the Europeans came to north America around 600 years ago from Eurasia, it is all just history repeating.
