  • These people are soo cool! Iv gone to a speech and they are just so kind and funny, but they are really understanding!

  • The people from my friend's high school REALLY need to hear this!

  • I'm so glad to see this and I will go get myself tested and I will go to confession. I want to start over and become pure again, like the saint I chose for confirmation. Thank you so much, Jason and Crystalina Evert! I'm really scared getting tested and seeing the results. But, I will do whatever it takes to change my life around.

  • @Trustworthyalma Congratulations; my prayers are going with you. <3 If I can help with any questions, prayer requests or anything, I would be happy to. God bless!

  • I agree with everything but confession with a priest - it prob just stirs his imagination! He's a man like anyone else! But yeah confess.. with someone you can trust. And God hears you, you can go to him alone if no one else to share things with ok :)

  • @nzzenith

I agree with everything - even confession with a priest - Yes, a priest is a man, but Jesus gave his disciples the power to forgive sins. This power to forgive sins in Jesus' name started with the disciples and the first pope right down to priests. It is not the priest who forgives our sins, Jesus forgives our sins. Yes, God hears you but we receive God's answer which is mercy and forgiveness through confession. (John chapter 20 - verse 23)

  • @giammariad Yes all his disciples were expressed to, that they can forgive one another, just as he forgave them.

Today we confess our sins to one another and experience the same hearing from God and people - mercy and forgiveness. Selah.

  • @nzzenith Hebrews reveals Jesus is our high priest (our mediator), and the basis for salvation is relationship with him. Ephesians one is clear that those who believe in his name (the power of his atonement for all who believe) come into a relationship with him are his adopted children. It is his children who are the priests/popes/kings of this world. And we don't walk about in pomp and piety, we simply serve and love as Christ served and loved. Shalom.

  • @nzzenith w w w . catholic. c o m

  • @nzzenith i'm not Catholic and i agree with your viewpoint on confession, but i would make one point,,, if we as Christians are called to confess our sins to EACH OTHER, rather than to a designated priest -- which we are, see James 5:16 -- then we need to actually do it. Few non-Catholics actually confess their faults and sins to each other on any kind of regular basis. i know from experience that not admitting sin can lead to real problems.

  • "you are worth waiting for!"
