  • @GuitarTommyAZ Don't worry, I marked his comment as SPAM!!! hehe.:D

Thanks for the nice share. :)

  • the worst tutorial in the world

  • thaank you! you helped me alot i subbed

  • i would hate to be the 1 guy who disliked this

  • everyone does it at least once

  • i went to tune in my thin E string and it snapped, so i used my spare one and that snapped too so i have to go and buy some more strings now :/

  • yes thank you for this...it actually makes sense how to use it now!

  • most tuners are guitar tuners or Chromatic... niether refers to a key. One has just the notes EADGBE Low to high on Guitar. The other will tune anything and should still read the same notes. EADGBE. This could be many keys when referring to notes in a scale. for example.. key of D G C all have the notes EADGBE.

  • What key is the guitar supposed to be in? Key of C my tuner can do many keys

  • thanks, very educational.

  • is the clib 440

  • @NapolionTNT22098 yes it is set at 440.. this is the standard setting

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this. This was really helpful for me. Especially with your explanation on the notes :)

  • @jack4109 NP :)

  • @jack4109 Sure :)

  • @GuitarTommyAZ sir i need your help with tuning the guitar

  • you explain the best on how to tune a guitar and you tell what it means when it goes to the left or right thanks alot really helpful

  • Thanks for the info. I wanted to make sure that I was using the tuner right. Now I just need to make sure how to play the guitar right!

  • my tuner asks for a key with options like B , E , C , F. Does it make any difference if i use different keys. please help. I can't understand :(

  • @maharajabhoj What tuner do you have?

  • thanx bro this video help me a lot !!!!!!

  • Hey everyone, im got a tuner for my KH-202 LTD guitar and the low E has like hit max tune. like ive rised the nut at the bottem to the highest that it can go and wont go any higher, i know u have to use a alenkey at the top of the guitar to unscrew it and re-tune it somehow, can someone show me a vid doing so or help me please? ):

  • @BlazeDragon133

use the allen wrench to unlock the nut at the head of your guitar. While it is unlocked, unscrew your fine tuner to almost the top. Leave a little in case when you lock down your nut that it makes the string go sharp you can still adjust. Tune the guitar regularly with tuning keys... once in tune. lock it down again.

  • are picked open string???

  • always open when using a tuner

  • thanks ALOT bro! It took about an hour but my guitar is tuned thank you sooo much!

  • No prob... tune it everyday and it is always easy... usually 30 seconds to a minute.

  • its impossbile to get it right.....

  • patience. It becomes very easy if you do it everytime you get out your guitar.

  • Patience.

  • my tuner says it is in the key C♭ , is that correct?

  • no... c flat is B. If it is your second string.... it may be so sharp the it is reading a c that is partially flat. lower to B.

The Key of C Flat means 7 flats. Everything is flat in key signature

  • Thanks man, excellent

  • How Much To Tuners Go For?

  • $15-$150

    this one... $40

  • Helped me A LOT!!! Thanks :D

  • Comment removed

  • WHat kind of tuner are you using?

  • MT9000 Sabine

  • Thanks, i bought a tuner yesterday, and i never realized how to properly use it until i watched this. I was going to take it back lol.

  • i think your amazing been trying to tuning my guitar for hours..just cudnt figure out which direction to turn for each letter. u made it quite clear

  • this is the best vid ive ever seen today on tuning a guitar thanks alot and keep up the good work

  • thx for the comps:)

  • thanks .. i got the answer.. fixed it... a great video.. the best one..

  • thanks :)

  • Will i play the string open or close? I mean do i press the string on 5th fret or just pull the string (when using tuner)?

    Thanks

  • When you press the fifth fret that is called relative tuning. You are using the note from one string to tune the next.

  • great video. btw I'm a beginner on this, but I got a digital tuner, just wondering, mine also has red and green lights, however if all of the strings are at green light is the guitar tuned then? because I tried, but I feel there is something wrong even when I made all the strings on green with my digital tuner. could you help me out please? :)

  • sometimes the light is green but it is the wrong note. So, not only do you want them to be green... you want to make sure the notes low to high are EADGBE

  • Thank you so much for your help! :) just figured it out now that I had one wrong note on it. got it now, so finally I can go back play guitar again =D

  • Hallo.. I like your guitar tuner. It is easy to use because of the color...I just want to ask the brand of that tuner. Thanks

  • MT9000... by Sabine

  • Thank you.Help me a lot :-)

  • i have a question...

can u use the digital tuner to tune your guitar to drop d tunning?

or you can only use it to tune it to standard tunnung?

  • Yes...Just watch for the D to light up and you are there.

  • THANK! Now i understand how to tune it

  • Thank you so much Helped alot =)

  • Thanx U helped alot...you explained throughly well thanx from me and all other people who watched this :p

  • Thanks man!

  • thnx bro. igorot

  • Thank you for everything this helped a lot!

  • Thanks for distinguishing the note of each string, that helped a lot!

  • dude thank you so much your rockin awlsome lol

  • Thank you ever so much. I looked so long and hard for videos on here to help me and none of them were as good as yours. You explained your lesson very clearly & simply. My guitar still doesn't feel 100% but that could be for a number of different reasons & nothing to do with your lesson - I am 100 % sure of that. Though more importantly it IS certainly good enough to start playing again. I can't thank you enough for helping me crack something that has bugged me for years !!! Respect.

  • :) welcome

  • OMG! How u did that? No need 2 insert any jack in ur Guitar? It shows that i can tune my aquistic guitar with dis tuner. I thought it only works 4 Electronic-aquistic. Or did u join any jack while u were at da back of dis vdo??

  • most tuners have a mic for acoustice guitars

  • 1:38 its a G string

  • OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Hi, thanks this is really helpful, most other videos just kinda waffle and you just get straight to the point =D

  • ok so iv never used a guitar i am starting now but i have a question...are all songs suposed to be played on this tuning...and change with idk...a capo? or does different songs have different tunings and how do i know on which note should i put my strings then?

  • all rules are general rules... meaning there is always an exception. So, No not all songs are played in this tuning but it is the most popular tuning. Capo allows you to play in other keys using same chords you already know... it does not change the tuning, just the tonal center.

Go with the most popular tuning...

    EADGBE thickest to thinnest

  • i only have EADGBE on my tuner

  • most inexpensive tuners have these notes because it is the most common tuning.

  • if you are using a tuner... then open notes... if you are using one string to tune the next, called relative tuning, then you press down of fifth fret to get next string. Except G string... press 4th fret to get B for second string

  • when your trying to tune a

guitar do you have to do open notes

or presse down on the strings

  • Brilliant, very helpful! Thank you!!!

  • glad I could help

  • THX por your help :)

  • :) no prob

  • thanks you so much i did it ^^!!

  • :) way to go

  • On my tuner (TU-80), I can't find the G string no matter what I do.

  • If the Tu 80 is not a chromatic tuner, your string could be above or below the pitch so the tuner is not reading the G.

  • how can i tune in a drop A or B whit that tuner (Sabine MetroTune MT-9000)

  • very easy... if your tuner is like this one it will read any note. So if you were tuning to A... you would loosen your low string and watch the tuner as it reads D C B then A... the next string is E or 7th fret 6th string. From 5th string down, tune normally with 5th fret, 5th fret, 4th fret and 5th fret respectively.

For B, do the same thing but start with the low B.

  • i like

  • nice guitar

  • wish id watched this half an hour ago as im only after snaping a string on my new guitar by over tightening it trying to get it in tune

    good video

  • everybody does it at least once :)

  • that was so helpful, thank you!

  • what do i do when i have a digital tuner with all capital letters?... Because i can't see the difference between my high E string and low e string?

  • Hi Trig

Capital letters doesn't matter... What you are looking for is the right letter. If your low or high E string the tuner should show E... it doesn't matter which E the tuner is reading as long as the string is in tune.

  • Wow...so simple..

    Thanks my man

  • thanx dude

  • helped me lots man ,, tanx

  • do u press any frets??

  • No, when using a tuner no frets involved... just tuning keys.

Tuning using the frets is called Relative Tuning and using the 5th fret on the lower 5 strings, except for the 3rd string. It uses the fourth fret.

  • thx this video is helpful but after tuning my guitar the 6th and 5th strings has this wowowowowowowow sound after strumming it and it shakes alot.

  • if you are sure it is in tune, then it could be other issues... maybe you need a quick look from a tech. You bridge may need set or truss rod set... hard to say without looking at it.

  • repaired it thx for your useful vid

  • woow that was really helpful thanks for posting these

  • my pleasure

  • thx this cleard shit up every other vidio seemed 2 make it seem so dificulte

  • cool :)

  • how much do electric tuners cost? cuz i've tried to do it by ear and with my keyboard but i cant get it tuned right

  • I paid $15 bucks for a decent one at Guitar Center

  • It can take a little time to get good at tuning a guitar and an electronic tuner makes it so much easier.

Tuners start at about $10 and can go to $100.

I am using the MT9000 by Sabine. It is a great little unit. It retails for about $40.

Best is to go a store with a good selection and try some out. See what works well for you and is easy to understand.

  • Another good cheap one is by Korg. It's the gray guitar tuner. It'll only give you the actual six guitar notes (EADGBE), so if you're really far off, it may not register right. Many tuners have a pitch generator, where it gives you the pitch, and you can match it to get close, then use the tuner to get closer still. I'm really anal, so I use a chromatic tuner so I can tune not only my open strings, but a few other notes. An open B may be in tune, but when played as D (Fret 3) a little off.

  • thank you

  • nice. now I know what it means when it goes right or left xD

Thanks alot. Goes way faster now!

  • yea i didnt know the difference so i thought the # meant tightin but soon enough i almost lose an eye to a string

  • yea thanks again i did it within minutes after i watched your vid

  • wow nice thanks man i messed around for like an hour on a new guitar, and your movie helped alot

  • Thanks for letting me know :)

  • cheers tommy, yeah buddy how to play power chords?.im trying to play with 3 fingers index, ring and pinky, however my pink and ring finger bunch up when i move frets and the power chords sounds horrible when i play.any ideas?

  • Make sure you only play those two strings in the power chord and that you are in tune and should sound good :)

  • I have another student who tends to pull on the strings when forming his power chords... this will make your guitar sound out of tune regardless of which power chord it is. Remember to pinch the neck with thumb nearly centered on the back of the neck... this should help.

    let me know:)

  • ...tnx bRo...it heLps..

  • thanks, I am over due for making some more vids... check back soon :)

  • thanks alot buddy,keep rocking!

  • thanks for the input, anything else you want to see?

  • hey buddy thanks alot for the video really helped me out,im from england and just starting out on guitar.can i ask which tuner your using?

    thanks buddy!

  • I am using the MT9000 by Sabine. I feel it is the best because the needle jumps the least of the nearly 20 I have tried.

  • hey buddy thanks alot for the video really helped me out,im from england and just starting out on guitar.can i ask which tuner your using?

    thanks buddy!

  • MT9000 by sabine is the best of my nearly 10 tuners

  • Totally agree. The metronome is handy, too.

I played those Fender Tiki guitars, and they're not awful. I think the one he's got, the monkey's smoking a cigar, and there's a bottle of rum next to it.
