they took so much out this game to make it compatable for ps2 but they did add some extra features to make it good...still i perfer the ps3 graphics over this shit

2 player mode is worse. It's like the game is going back in time. It reminds me of Perfect Dark on the N64.

Because this game sucks. There's no depth to it at all. Mashing the Square button replaced all the strategy of the old combat engine. At least there's guard canceling, but that's about as deep as the game gets.

all the renbu system needs is more charge attacks, like one for every renbu lvl and maybe different jump charge attacks, once that happens ull forget the old system... so give this one a chance n,n

I supported this game from day one on the 360, and I didn't receive much for my efforts. I've given it enough of a chance, but it's just fundamentally broken. I wish they'd stop churning out these damn expansions, and release a new game with a halfway decent combat engine already.

well yeah this is koei, so what i said will probably come years from now. than it will be just like the old system but better animated and more life like, just relax and let koei take its steps... im still gonna buy its expansions cus i just love these games n.n

No, you better pirate it, if you want to play. There is no benefit gained for voluntarily funding stupidity, although, Koei is probably smart enough to realize that the people who purchase all their half assed efforts are the real idiots.

I agree with ya. I've tried to like the game but the combat system is worse than the original DW4-DW5 originally was, yet critics apparently think Koei has done something worldly with it. It's pressing the same button over and over again, nothing even remotely exciting.

I think the DW2-5 combat system was good, but largely stale.

The renbu system is also good, but it sure as hell needs a lot more work for it to be better than the old system.

There's something seriously wrong with a game when the first three or four attacks your character starts with are so much better than the other attacks, that there's no point in going beyond the third or fourth hit.

Fuck Renbu. It's nothing but a stupid gimmick that sounds good on paper, but it's executed well at all in-game.

Yes, that's why I guard cancel the same three hits over and over in this batch of videos. There's little reason to go any further in the string when those few hits activate elements, come out faster AND have better range than the later moves in the Square string.
