  • I wonder where they get the uniforms!

  • OMG HE WAS MY TEACHERS SON OMG LIKE REALLY CUTE HE HAD TO TEACH ME STUFF AND I ACTED SO MANY TIMES LOL

  • i have been watching Jacob Kabel for years and the whole XMA team and yeah it was done in America but he was train by Michael Chaturantabut aka Mike Chat from Thailand

  • Yes its was done in America but he was train by Michael Chaturantabut AKA Mike Chat from Thailand i have been watching Kabel for a long time and not just him the whole team of XMA Revolution the video ''Jacob Kabel gets beat by Jake Huang or the other way around but it is a fake just some two dudes want to be famous

  • the samurai roll in their graves.

  • 80% utterly useless in combat.... looks amazing tho, about the closest youll get to an anime fight in real life... and no i wouldnt fight him :p

  • I wonder how he would do in a sword fight against a samuri.

  • I wonder what kind of style that is? I've been to many marital arts tournaments and competed, but I never seen a anyone doing a weapon form with a sword while still having the seath at his belt? I'm guessing Japanese?

  • @Goddess167989 This "style" is known as XMA, a mainly American invention (from what I understand) to stand for Xtreme Martial Arts. And if you have never seen a solo performance of Japanese Swordsmanship with the saya still in the belt, then you have never seen Japanese Swordsmanship.

  • The absolute textbook definition of style over substance. Pom-pom squad with a sword.

  • Tradition is overrated IMO. There is no need to learn practical sword play in modern society really (without getting to deep) where as this guy could become easily make a good living for putting on a show. What's wrong with that? It's a show like pro wrestling: looks nice but isn't real. It only bothers me if people think this kind of performace could beat the real deal in a real sword fight.

  • @2Jax I understand that people don't get tradition, but what I don't understand is the obsession with using traditional swords and hakama etc. If you are not interested in traditional Japanese MA then study something else, or just invent your own thing, but don't pick and choose which bits you want and which bits your don't, and don't describe it as Japanese Swordsmanship, because there is about 0.01% influence over XMA.

  • Is anybody else bothered that centuries of cherished tradition can become a bunch of flashy acrobatics?

  • seems to me like we have stolen martial arts and made them our own which is wrong

  • JKD

    Absorb what is useful

    Reject what is useless

Add essentially what is your own

    Is this wrong?

  • Badass.

  • i wonder about the song aswell... anyone got a clue by now?

  • anyone know what the name of the song is?

  • @thedingbatt if ur still interested the name of the song is A song of Storm and Fire from tsubasa reservoire chronoicles(probably misspelled a lot there)

  • jesus one wrong move with his arm when he was spin kicking and his leg would have been meat!

  • yeah!!!!! is that a real sword?

  • Yeah because if It was not then it wouldn't not be able to spin like that

  • yes it is a real sword.

  • rofl was cool but he needs a hair cut better pants

  • great skill, but i wish there was better music. rube and ultra both make good points. WEAREANONYMOUS

  • =0= ;;; 각도가 엉망이군...

  • Who cares if it's what's considered "true" martial arts? It's for show here and it looks wicked!! That's just my opinion though.

  • ur a prick.

  • what's the name of that song?

  • BEAUTIFUL :)

  • Excellent dancing but I was searching for martial arts.

  • dude tis isnt dancing...IT MArtrial art...IF it dancing..why he using a katanna??

  • So waving a sword about makes you a martial artist?

  • you cant do it, so shut the fuck up

  • lol i cant do it ? ive been training iaido for 20 years a mans life would be very short triing that with an aluminum blade cutting cartwheels .. but even i know its for show but it does lessen the spirit of the sword

  • Of course I can't do it. I am a martial artist not a dancer.

  • lol i was thinking the same thing .... my iaido book doesnt show 720 flipping hog wash .. perhaps ill look deeper

  • Its not traditional, but its still martial arts.

  • its not traditional matial arts but its still martial arts. You can't do it so shut the fuck up. The arts evolve with the times.

  • i used to think doing MMA i could kick anyones ass

this kid could destroy me or pretty much anyone

    watch out chuck norris

  • I wonder if most of the people stressing the practicality of it can even do the most basic gymnastics. I think if they could they would show a little more appreciation. The roundoff Back layout with a swiitch of the sword hand was pretty cool.

  • man that was koo as hell but i wouldnt attempt anything like that unless i had the training

  • as bruce lee said there is no defence against a 45

i must say that dude would shred someone with that

  • That dude would be cut once by someone who trains in basic Iai-ryu.

  • Comment removed

  • amazing!

  • wow. does no one see the cuts in the form? sure its got throws and tricks but it adds to the performance aspect. but those cuts could kill if used in combat

  • this is so bullshit, not even wu-shu, not even kendo, nothing. just a acrobatic something, but i'm sure that guy believes he's a real warrior :))

  • Comment removed

  • what???

  • he is very skilled at what he does, if you dont like it dont watch. This requires grate skill and a crazy amount of training just like wu-shu, gymnastics, breakdance or what ever. You cant do it so shut the fuck up

  • yes, i can't do it. i have a crazy amount of chinese box training, that's what i can do. but listen, you can have a crazy amount of pissing your name to the snow & you will not have my applause, as the others i guess..

  • (chinese box) training. . . .umm what is that?? do mean san shou/san da. Or traditional kung fu, maybe wushu. Anyway, you dont have to be impressed with this type of proformance if its not your thing. hell i think break dance is pretty Boring/non impressive but i respect what the do because they have taken there skill to the highest level. I just dont understand why people come on here and bitch, just dont watch it if its not your thing. I dont go to dance videos and bitch cause i dont like it

  • yes, i mean sanshou.

well, of course, it's somehow similar with this "thing" & break dance. but for me for example, break dance is presented as a type of a dance. it's not a half dance, or that break dancers are staying on the place & doing it just with their hands, you know what i mean..? what is this "thing"? if it's just some kind of a gymnastic stuff, or acrobatics, so why it's presented in the ring & i guess on some fight event..? that's the reason why i said what i said..

  • Dude get a life post yourself doing anything comparable and then talk this dude is a machine in the ring and out you honestly think this guy cant kick some major *%& I have trained with him and gloves on and off he blows my mind so as the golden rule say for all thing treat others the way you want to be treated. Do have any idea where this stuff has taken this kid???? Stunt work in hollywood, Movies a lead in the cirque du solie. Tell me about your success please!!

  • omg not that fake ass wana be samurai crap again. for god sakes this is in NO WAY even the shadow of a martial art so stop calling it that. i fond it annoying that 90% of videos on youtube that have "martial arts" in the title have absolutely no martial arts in the video. like this one.

  • u guys r idiotz jacob puts all his work into it and now hes in cirquis ol le one of the top shows in the world so stfu and watch he makes it look too easy for the eye whitch is awesome i saw him in rl and if u saw him u wuld be blown away. hes amazeing.

  • Good moves! I laugh about the ones who say "It's not use for combat" or "It's not tecnically correct" and they think they know a lot about weapons... I mean... do you think the guy in the video is gonna try that in a fight, cutting other samurais? Do you all think he doesnt know it's more spectacular than efective? Of course he knows! Do you think he gives a fuck?? NO! If you wanna see efective or tecnique stuff, go watch other videos ;)

  • Comment removed

  • That's fine, but if it's only supposed to be gymnastics, then don't label it martial arts

  • The only thing uglier than his technique was that stupid looking outfit.

  • i kinda look as if he was combining samurai style swordsmenship with chinesse sowrdsmenship with a lot of gymnastics

  • Looks like DOA

  • His technique is really off. Sure he can jump around but it is nothing really impressive.

  • XMA is movie martial arts. This is not meant to be actual swordsmanship. It takes the base technique from the actual art and transforms it into something that looks good. It takes extreme skill and lots of practice to be able to perform that well. I dont see anyone else with this kind of video on here.

  • While his dance and acrobatic skills are very impressive, this is not real swordsmanship. Spins and sword throws aside, his actual cuts (0:37, 0:43, etc)are way too wide, leaving him very exposed. On top of that, his hasuji (blade-angle) is way out of line with his cuts (most easily visible at 0:19), greatly reducing their effectiveness. He is obviously not lacking in control or strength, simply in technique.

  • its a little difficult to acheive all that going a million miles an hour. id like to see you do it.

  • If he can't, then he needs to slow down and learn how to use that sword correctly. A Japanese Sword is a precision weapon. It doesn't matter how fast you swing one if you don't actually cut them (because of bad hasuji or you miss entirely) and leave yourself open to counter attack. If a gun fighter could unload a revolver in 2 seconds, but missed with every shot, we'd call him an overconfident fool. Apparently when you do that with a sword, every idiot on the internet is going to defend you.

  • dont you realize this is an xma form? not a traditional one. its all showmanship every last bit. this kid has put his traditional sword time in and now he is doing the movie martial arts thing which is no big deal because youd be a hypocrite if you said you didnt enjoy a jacki chan movie here and there

  • NO. ONE. CARES.

We're in an age of guns, stop watching anime, katanas can't cut through tanks.

I think everyone figured out it wasn't a practical kata when he's throwing the sword around.

He looks awesome. That's the point.

  • Actually, I can't stand it when people in movies look like they have no idea what their actually doing with a weapon (like this guy does). It is clear that he has not "put his traditional sword time in" because if he had he would know better than to bother with this stuff.

I don't pretend to think someone with a sword could last in an age of guns, but that has 0 to do with why I practice it.

  • You whats really amazing? Guys and gals down talking someone who has no proof that they are gods at the craft. Opinions are like assholes, and, yours smell like shit. Sorry.

  • LOL that might be true but can a gun knock your head off withought a sound.

  • with a silencer :p

lol i think guns are a little cheap though cause you cant really defend yourself against a gun

  • omg omg OMFG!!!!! REALLY NO ONE KNOWS THE NAME OF THIS SONG????????????

I BET EVERYONE TO POST THE NAME OF THE SONG!!!! XS

  • its "song of storm and fire" from the anime Tsubasa

  • Hells yeah!! That's was freakin sick!

  • cool moves man! that was amazing :D

  • omg he is so good with a katana. His technique is flawless. The steps of the kata with his katana were so easily done he made it seem easy.

  • omg what is this song i must have it lol

  • Very nice

  • Thanks everyone. If you like this please subscribe to my vids. Thanks God bless!

  • holy shit... you better dont mess around with him... he would slice you in little pieces w/o that u notice it O_o; I want to be as skilled as him O_O; <3 swords

  • jacob is the sweetest, most humble, most amazing guy ive ever met.. i love you!

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

  • someone knows the name of the song?

    plz haaalp!!!

  • idk if you popl caught it but he switched to a defensive style half way through

  • i belive he switched at like 47

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that used in this I'd really like to know,.. sounds like Dot Hack but I'm not sure if it is... ^^

  • dont u remember the name of the song? is from .hack?

  • that was awesome!

  • NINJA!!!

  • This is amazing!

  • This was incredible.. 5 *'s, he should've won for sure...

  • Could anyone tell me what the song is.

  • He is using an Iato sword, which is the standard for routine competitions. Katana's are not sacred by any means, just valuable and a sign of power and wealth. This Extreme Martial Arts thing, is not about fighting, but about displaying ones speed, dexterity, and stamina in dazzling displays. very little of what they show in a routine would be used in combat or combative cometition.

  • btw he yells cuhz itz jux a wayy of gaining energy and keepin yurr kool, and it show good performences,

anywayz, even though he's juggling wih it itz not bad, he got pretty good control wih itz

  • eh isnt karate and all diz stuff meant to be like a sport to dem cuhz itz not for fightin and ppl should kno dat, dat wahz good though, reminded meh of soul calibur =]

  • In this, it's not about killing it's about the aww factor. In a real fight this would slice you. Although his sword technique here shows that the cutting edge isn't always true. But that could be because he's flailing too much.

  • this music... ahhh fuuuuuck!!!! it sucks

  • Oh god..there goes tradition. Katanas are supposed to be like, sacred and stuff, and these guys use it for juggling and such, this is not martial arts, this is freakin dancing!

  • Thas not a katana form >_> Katana was designe to deliver one letal blow on the enemy and no for circus entertainment. I agre he should made that with a short Chinisse sword. Or a scimitar.

  • umm a katanas main design was for that of a defensive or parry stance they were used mainly as frontliners who would take out calvary and hold infantry back while their sides calvary flanked

  • whoa, he'll slice you to pieces AND beat the crap out of you! NICE!

  • wouldn't wanna piss him off

  • ok he is good but hes well overdramatic -.-' i can do most of that but i dont scream lol

  • The screaming is basically so that you take in and let out air enough so that you can continue what you want to do. Albeit his attacks seem to be mainly for show and not just killing blows. Kill with one cut.

  • yeah definitely not how the katana was designed. should have done it with a short sword.

  • When you can already do this, completely devastating someone with a blow or two isnt exactly a problem.

  • i think he wins the overly dramatic award

  • Watch the next one; Weaponz 4. This guy is tame compared to the dramatic pyschobitch in that one lol.

  • ill say, # 4 is more funny than it is cool haha

  • that was sick

  • the flip at the beginning is AWESOME. you can hear the pound as his feet hit the floor

  • Lol hell yeah, that's impressive, and yeah, it takes alot of skill and talent. But yes, it's for entertainment only.

  • as far as just entertainment and no combat use, anything you have that much control with could take someone out.

    Dudes bad ass

  • Impressive... but what is it good for ?

  • nothing. but entertainment

  • umm killing maybe?

  • First this is realy good this guy knows what he is doing

and then to all the dudes who have a stupid false sword that is worth crap and say ow i can do that too and even better i would so own him. THIS takes so much training, the moves he makes are not random but precize.

  • samurai jack!

  • You know what i dont care what any of you say thats impressive .

  • I'm so awesome. I could beat that guy up. lol.

I have 10x more friends than him lol.

  • it doesnt matter if his friends know how to fight.

  • Darn i thought i was allready impressed what i reached now in my 5 DAN in Iaido. But when i see what this guy can make out for a show... hoho.. Nice moves. But ok everyone knows, the most what he does are show moves and not really Katas for a swordfight. My interests are more in that, if the Sword is sharp what he hold in his hand or only a copy unsharped one for the show.

  • really cool video , btw shut the fuck up Jeff, no one cares who you are.

  • If the sword doesnt have a false edge then that must really suck when he messes up some time lol.

  • LOL!

  • really cool video O.o, btw I am Jeff XD

  • really cool....btw I am Jeff XD

  • it looks like most of his cuts are with the flat of his blade cause he's swinging the damn thing too fast

  • thats was pretty sexy

  • I agree although alot of that Seems that it could be used. so other than the tossing it could be logical, but thats just my opinion, I don't really know to much about it, but it deff look Friggen badass

  • pure showsmanship

  • Yeah, I don't think he would use it in combat...

  • i think if he did he would have been sushi after the first throw. then again...when the hell would he need to use a gun in our times?

  • What I'm saying is, you don't fight with a "kata", (or pure techniques), you fight with the principles. A normal person doesn't (is not allowed) to carry around a sword on the street, but he might find a stick or something, and using the principles and instincts that he has learned from what ever he's been practising might very possibly lead him to victory.

  • so true my friend, so true

  • i agree.

  • very nice mr samurai...

  • hey i think this song's from final fantasiy VII (srry 4 the spelling) but i also wanna know wats it called

any 1 knows plz tell me ^^

  • i think they should get these guys together and use computers to track their movements and use them for video games.

  • thats fuckin sweet!

  • whats the name of the song?

  • That was an amazing form, One of the most entertaining one's I have ever senn And yea, guys, throwing your weapon in the air isn't an attack, its to make the form look flashy.

  • thats not how u handle ur sword

  • name of song for the love of god please tell me name of song

  • Sei grande -Defense's Art

  • someone knows this song please?

  • you would be able to do that in battle, most of that is made for samurai battles in the past. Their swords use to be so sharp a simple slice at the nerve in the neck would kill the enemy. Although, there was some extra acrobatics added for entertainment purposes.

  • old battles were so intense i would be suprised if anyone had the space to do anything like that...i bet they could only thrust and swing at most times

  • I agree. There would be absolutely no time to toss the sword in the air like that. In the stress of battle the last you want happening is to have your weapon leave your hand

  • You're correct. Byuri is probably a teenager infatuated with Samurai lore and the idea that it was supremely more graceful and deadly than it's true-to-life, gritty and very much less flashy form. This is proven by his obvious ignorance in claiming that tossing your blade around was a battle maneuver. Armor would prevent any possibility of that, and so would common sense.

  • ur a prick.

  • And you, sir, are retarded.

  • ur face is retarded. fat shit.

  • it´s a art... to best show wins!

  • Kids, remember. Don't fuck with guys that have swords. Especially if they're really good at doing girl twirls and spins.

  • wow!..that was a real one!..my sister friend had i collection on real swords!...cause she's half Japaness and half Filipino!..she went in Philippines and meet my sister!..they became friends 6 years..afterwards she us her collection of swords she got!

  • impressive but you would never be able to do that in battle.

  • not everybody does stuff that is for combat.

  • nice

  • Do you honestly expect him to make up, remember, and perfect a different form for every single tournament?

  • jezzz does jacob kabel also do the same form with a every sword demonstration. Dude do something different.

  • hey its soul calibur
