When people see the Nicholas Brothers performance, they are astounded, that 2 young children could perform in such a seemingly miraculous way, I mean, who dances like that? only every little black boy on Harlem corners back then it wasn't dancing, it was life, and so is the blues. Blues tell the truth and from what i'm reading here, he knew what he was talkin about when he said "Men don't know little girls understand.when i see analysis its time to go if u analysin, U ain't feelin the blues.
no youtube ...no visual...i live in pittsburgh...been all over the country...why do they play the same 11 songs on repeat...radio stations meake people stupid...thanks for the video...fuck the robots
@TheQuicksilverdog ya everyone knows Jim Morrison was from the deep south. A real true Hoodoo man. I mean California...same thing. lmao!! you're a funny dude Nathanoman
@GretschGal Even know Jim wasn't monotone either. I don't get why this video has to be a battleground of Wolf and The Doors. I love The Doors, but some of these guys coming in here sucking Jim's dick and saying he is better than any of the old Chicago blues singers need to stay out.
I love how well dressed he is. In the 30s & 40s you looked your best. I know this is later, but I can just imagine; "hey Howlin' Wolf, these white boys want you to be on television!", "Well, I better put on my good suit!"
GREAT BLUES .... feel me on THIS one ... search YouTube : "IBEW drummer CALL IT" words wrote out in annotations. "early morning inspired" a (by-definition) original inspired by "early in the morning" Harry Nilsson's version Not same song though, also inspired by my "what's-her-name-#1" breaking my heart.
When I stumbled upon the question, who is better: Muddy Waters or Howlin' Wolf?, I thought - good question, but I figured it out, the best is Willie Dixon!
i know there's not a competition there never was, they were all the best, people have no idea what they did for music, I just wanted to point out that Muddy's and Wolf's best songs such as this one were written by Willie Dixon, but of course Muddy and Wolf also wrote amazing songs like Smokestack Lightnin', but Willie Dixon wrote songs for so many artists and you probably heard Howlin' Wolf's Spoonful, but have you heard the Willie Dixon version? It's amazing... just pointing out
I guess it depends what the criteria is.....Willie was a more prolific songwriter, but Muddy and Chester were bad ass frontmen, something Willie wasn't necessarily. I'd say Muddy is the better musician between himself and Wolf.....I'd probably put Muddy at the top
I see how miss-information gets spread. You take someone like yourself with a "basic" knowledge of the Blues. Then let your tiny mind go to work and come up with something that you think is funny. You let your tiny mind take a dump through the keyboard and you have a bunch of people like yourself...tiny minded. Take it as gospel. Do us all a favor...Don't talk about the Blues. Cause you probably have never had em'. And obviously would not know how to handle em.
by the way im not hating , im 25 and i went thru it aswell , except ive cut my hair, lost the t-shirts but still listen to all the classics ,without preaching to people like im the first teenager to discover led zeppelin . when i run into kids from highschool , 90% have given up on the hippie phase and the other 10% brought it to a whole nother try-hard wannabe level ,like i said im not hating i just think its funny cuz probably two years ago you all listened to jay z . enjoy the music dont talk
i bet everyone of you kiddies commenting are under the age of 18 , under the impression that you know something about music and its roots because last year scottie showed up to school in a pink floyd t shirt and you all thought you would grow your hair and tag along for the ride. mommy buys you a guitar and some led zep/floyd/the doors albums and you think your a hippie.. trying desperately to find more of abstract older music to have alittle diversity from the pack of wannabes ..think about it
OMG A black Jim Morrison! Lol Sorry I know The Door weren't the originals. But I couldn't resist. Besides, I actually like this version better than Jim's, TBH.
@HufflepuffTheGreat a black jim morrison? i guess you apologized because you know how backwards that is. at least you know where he got his influence from.
@prchurch13 if one mentioned the word " vermin " in the same paragraph as the name " Jim Morrison ", one would owe a most humble apology to the vermin.
@TheQuicksilverdog Willie Dixon said Chester Burnett, aka"Howlin' Wolf", was his favorite singer and that's why he wrote more songs for him than for McKinley Morganfield, aka Muddy Waters. So to say he wrote especially for MM is a little off base.
@CrazyBeatlesFanatic i hope you know your questioning a 61 year old man who has definitely lived and breathed alot more blues music than you can dream of... how old are you? 18? thats a shame, your not even old enough to get into most establishments where blues musicians perform.
Working the blues, brother man. Working it, working it.Too tall to bow down. Aint got nothing to do with inches - comes from the soul. Work it, Mr. Wolf.
