  • None of the branches of the military got shit on the national guard!!

  • uhoh inbred at 3:50

  • @themadhackermatt who gives an f on which branch of the military is better as long as they are defending my freedom I don't give an f on how they do it as long as they do it

  • If SNAFU means Situation normal all fowled up then what does Tarfu mean?

  • @isnormalityareality Things are really fouled up

  • @rjflesher

    Ok thanks!

  • ARMY: Aren't Ready For Marines Yet

  • @themadhackermatt Pardon me, but doesn't marine stand for "My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment?"

  • @JoshOak Because while sailors clean and maintain the ships, Marines just go along for the cruise, then go ashore.

  • Recognised authority on the subject! LOL!!

  • The stalking, smoking sailor is obviously a caricature of Walt Disney.

  • This doesn't look like Warner's but it was voiced by Mel.

  • It was obviously Harmon and Ising. Ironically they''d worked at what would be later Warner's in the early 30's with characters like Bosko.

  • This is the episode to feature Seaman Tarfu to be uploaded at YouTube. The other episode was "The Three Brothers".

  • Tarfu: Things Are Really F**ked Up.

  • @Hotshotter3000 "Seman Tarfu" is a Janfu!

  • @Knoss And what does Janfu mean?

  • @Hotshotter3000 Joint Army Navy Fuck Up

  • Does anyone have an idea who directed this?

  • 0:36 - George Gordon

  • 2:36 - Was that the first scatalogical joke in American animation?

  • Probably not :P

  • True, the Army made this picture, but this old sailor loved it anyway! :D

  • This was to have been the start of a series of instructional cartoons for the US Navy, but WW2 ended, so the series was canceled. The "cuffs and collar" line is a rather daring one when you know what it means! ;-) In the cartoon "Three Brothers", you learn Snafu and Tarfu have a Marine brother named Fubar.

  • @MrUnidyne Just what does the "cuffs and collar" line mean anyway?

  • It means that she's a natural blonde. That is, the color of the hair on her head matches the hair on her...ah...nether regions.
