I ended up buying one :-) gotta say, no youtube demo video out there really does it justice. this camera is absolutely amazing. hook it up directily to a tv and you simply won't believe the sharpness and image quality. stunning!!!

Camera is great, except for the controls. So a huge turn off.

@RonaldsSulcs If it's mainly for making videos other photos, yes definitely.

@RonaldsSulcs XLR inputs, manual control of audio, Little to no Moire or Aliasing, no line-skipping on the sensor to get 1080p video. Granted it doesn't have a 35mm sized sensor or interchangeable lenses. But you have to have a trade-off somewhere because they're almost the same price.

Sure the 7D, T3i, etc are cheaper, but I'm not really interested in doing that kind of shooting. Plus, audio on DSLR's is still quite substandard.
