  • i hope the no.1 silly cyclist stumbles across this it would be so good.

  • not allowed to cycle in windsor park / virginia water after dusk, a great shame. should put some lights in there

  • cyclists should pay road tax and insurance like I do for my 3 Jags, the wifes and the kids. Its not fare

  • I would like to know what u think about the riding of this guy??? Check out ASPHALT - JUMBO, THE FASTEST CAT IN TOWN

I love all these lentil drinking fashist banging on about other peoples riding...

  • @E17bikes Lentil drinking? I know that at least three of the people filming in this episode are rather keen petrolheads and who don't ride for the environment at all, but because it's better, faster, and more fun.

  • SWEET! well done redvee!! love this show - and im not even a cyclist

  • what a bastard in the yellow if i was crossing the road i would slap his face

  • There was a narrow road and I was going a bit slow and I noticed this car thinking about overtaking so I upped the pace and pedalled really fast to allow the car to go faster behind me until the road widened, but it kept going rev rev rev as it couldn't wait to get past!

On another note, I have been guilty of passing lorries on the left (UK), and exceeding speed limits on downhill, but not running red lights or cutting people up. I tend to ride as if I were a motorcycle in town.

  • @TimpBizkit Exceeding speed limits doesn't matter, they don't apply to cyclists :D

  • Mikey was in Hype park. Oh my i get worried that someone is going to film me doing something wrong and not tell me! Well done Gaz keep the videos coming! Sadly for me i only cycle to the station i need to get to and back. Though, i wanted to ask any fellow cyclists what precautions would you take cyclying in the park at the night? I understand light front and back. Is it safe to cycle in a park at night? What do you think? Any advice or suggestion reply please!

  • @marafi Depends which park, if it's known for having dodgy people in (drug takers etc..) then it may be best avoided. A good set of lights to see with and you will be fine

  • @sillycyclists Very true on that maybe safer going on the busy roads at night. If it was not for the silly kids in my area then hopefully things will change. Many thanks for your reply Gaz. Oh and keep up with the videos its good to learn loads especially for fellow cyclists!

  • @marafi i cycled through Richmond park at night once. some ppl walk on the road and is very hard to see them and could end up swerving or worse, colliding.

dont do it unless park is well lit or u have really bright lights. cycle safe :)

  • Number One truly deserves his rating. The type of cyclist that along with RLJs, that makes everyone think we all ride like this.Great selection once again.

  • @mellowNdark Why shouldn't we? We have an interest in improving behaviour on the roads, not just for safety, but also to make it a more pleasant place for everyone. This series is excellent, and many many riders have commented how it has changed their own behaviour.

Let's face it, we all make mistakes and do silly things once in a while. The camera, YouTube, and other peoples' viewpoints are a pressure cooker of roadcraft and learning. Brilliant for us all.

  • 1 dislike. I bet it is no1. Was give a shit about anybody around him. Worst cyclist(s) ever...

  • i got a clip you can use if its worthy, go my channel about the 10th one down called "bad drivers caught on camera aug 6th 2011" and start about the :57 mark, crappy camera and crappy music but your welcome to use it if youd like

  • I hold my hands up to being guilty of riding faster than I should in most situations, but atleast Im fair and take notice of other road users around me, which gives me the time to stop, think ahead ect. That guy in the park was just a straight up dickhead.

  • With the exception of #1 who almost nails that kid, I don't think these moves are any big deal for a skilled rider. Reminds me of that George Carlin joke about traffic - everyone going faster than you is an ass, and everyone going slower than you is an ass.

  • @freewheel5 What makes a skilled rider? How many cyclists are skilled riders?

In my opinion a skilled rider wouldn't get them selves into most of these situations.

  • @freewheel5 It doesn't matter how good you are, accidents happen to the best of us. They're called accidents for a reason.

Sure, a more technically sound cyclist may be less prone to certain things, but there's always a chance and it's better to never have a chance of being in a sticky situation than to be in a sticky situation and risk everything.

  • @freewheel5 Even no. 1 appears a fairly skilled cyclist to me. Good bike control. The problem with most of these riders, and no. 1 especially, is bad anticipation, bad judgement, and bad attitude, IMO.

  • @freewheel5 everyone going slower than you is an idiot and everyone going faster than you is a maniac

  • The Hyde park guy needs to slow it right down. You cant be going over 6-10mph in places like that (eg a joggers speed). Thought he was going to ride into a kid for a second.

  • im a Silly Cyclists :O)

  • @TheRJMortimer oh really?

  • Fully agree that guy @#1 is a prize tool. There is no need to be riding that fast on a shared use path, let alone one with children around and expect THEM to take evasive action!!

  • @SkrzypczykBass Just curious, do you even know how to pronounce your own name?

  • @smith34n it's funnier than it should be: translate.google.com/#de|de|SkrzypczykBass

  • @smith34n Well it's a Polish surname so I only had my parents to rely on initially. They taught me it's script-chick. Since then I've met a few Polish people at school and now in work who have said there is more empathise on the z's to make it sound more like scriz-chik.

I also picked up the rough translation which is violin man :-) Odd as I'm in no way musical.....

As for the username on here is was a bit of a fail on my part as I didn't use my normal online handle of "Bassjunkieuk"

  • Silly cyclist no 4 - he set off while pedestrians were still using the crossing. Road users must wait until the crossing is completely clear before setting off.

  • @PeowPeowPeowLasers Indeed, not perfect but much better than the others who didn't bother to stop.

  • Comment removed

  • #1 I inline skate up and down there a lot and with all the kids about you just have to go slow. Lots are not from the UK so just need that extra space. There are roads at the top and bottom of Hide park if you what to go fast.

  • #1 just how aggressive was that, I don't think I would be as calm as @CyclingMikey

  • #1 was a complete idiot.

  • Fame at last!

  • :D Wonder if the Hyde Park cyclist ever came on here to see himself?

  • @CyclingMikey I hope he does, his behavior was disgusting, he needs to learn to ride a bicycle properly around people, otherwise people are going to get hurt.

  • nice to see the police officer enforcing the asl law about motorcyclists on number 5

  • Thank you, I have been chomping at the bit for another silly cyclist episode. thank you for supplying my fix.

  • sweet i've been waiting for this! XD

  • Great episode, thanks for taking the time to edit and share with us.

  • I watched in 1080p :) Great episode.

  • @YourIdleGamer watching at 1080p on a 32" TV is better ;-)

  • Glorious schadenfreude for cyclist #5. Great episode as usual!

  • you cyclists are so lucky, there is loads of you on the roads, when i cycle to work and back about 10miles i am lucky if i see more than one other cyclist.

  • Running a red in plain sight of an officer of the law. Just shows you how little attention the cyclist was paying. Police dont exactly try and hide when they're in high vis jackets.

  • @setra23 He almost did it at the previous set, but instead went for a VERY slow crawl forward whilst the same officer was there!

  • Yay Redvee2002 my fellow Bristolian! :D

  • another great episode Gaz, very education and informative
