Didja know that Dead Rising was originally going to be on the N64? But for some reason, they canceled it. When the 360 came out, they started it up for it...so I heard anyways. Its pretty cool that this is coming to the Wii..I wonder if this means other Capcom games, such as Lost Planet and RE5, will be coming to the Wii too...

I don't have anything against the Wii, but the 360 version will be better. There were hundreds of zombies on screen in the 360 version, and there will probably be about 20 on the Wii version.

Nah, the 360 version has HD graphics and way more zombies on screen at once. But still, people with no 360 should enjoy Dead Rising.  It's good to hear that you guys will have the opportunity to play it.

Capcom states while the Wii is NOT capable of having as many zombies on screen at once as the 360 is, they are doing their best to leave most, if not all of the gameplay from the 360 version intact.

Of course, there will most likely be new controls added on, but according to Capcom, other than the possibility of less zombies on screen at once, and of course the graphics will take a hit, Dead Rising for Wii will be very similar to the 360 version.

the controls are supposed to be the same as RE4 and it is supposed to have the over the shoulder camera too, and the weapon controls will be used with the wiimote.

Also Dead Rising 2 was announced in E3 not this, this is a japan secret atm, hasn't been announced anywhere else (but I fucking hope it will)

Gamespot started the whole japan only stuff with their typical crappy reporting. knowing that the original Dead Rising, RE4 and UC sold well in the US/EU it's a dead cert it'll come out in those regions.

Some have misunderstood my previous post, I wasn't being critical of the port or the Wii I mean the game will be a different experience from the 360 version.

When I said Capcoms record I was in fact refering to RE4 on the PS2, it felt authentic to the Gamecube version despite technical shortcomings and I am sure Dead Rising will be no different.

It'll be over the shoulder RE4 style and ditch the photography stuff, it might not sit right with some people but considering Capcoms track record and their use of the word "different take" it's better to think of this as a companion piece to the 360 version.

I kind of hate how most people these days would turn to graphics for games these days. It's disappointing, half the games I love are quite horrible graphics but cause of certain themes of the game I play them. Some people would think my favorite game, (Chrono Trigger)

is shitty or crappy because of the graphics.
