@Pricysnail steam will only run on its own ports. I dont think it will use minecrafts ports. Plus there is alot of ports to forward for a garrysmod server.

@dadochp You need to forward some ports, if you don't know how then just go look it up. It is different for every router so I cannot link you a valid tutorial. But these are the ports you need to forward.

@qpasas No , your just INSTALLING all the files , but when you have INSTALLED them you have got them , the only thing that may be time wasting is the updates , but you do not have to wait 8 / 9 hours.

I click the gmod server shortcut and i get a long checklists, and at the end there is a list of "couldnt find scene...." and finally i get "exec: couldn't exec server.cfg" followed buy VAC activated. Here are more instructions, you must have port forwarded before, you have to get a file called server.cfg (go to the gmod website for that), and if you want to be admin, get ASSmod, or ULX for that.
