I fail to see how this is "the decline and fall of western civilization". You have instances recorded of children and teenagers murdering people way back throughout recorded history. If you look back far enough in the history of western civilization a 15 year old would have been considered an adult already. Some people might want to live in a mentally invented the past and act like crime never existed back in the "good old days" but that's not true. This is a sad story, but nothing "new".

@tomken8dy I still think you're totally misjudging the situation. Crime has ALWAYS been a problem in every age and era of humankind. In some ways it's safer now than it has been in earlier times. I'm certainly not all that paranoid to walk through a modern city (even at night). One thing making it seem like there is more crime is because there are more/easier ways to report it happening. You didn't have that kind of instant press back in the "golden days" where crimes were committed in silence.

Our country is heading for the worst. There has been so much bull going on in this country that I'm not suprised a little girl would do that. A 30 year old man was robbed and jumped by 13 year old kids here once. And that black president stuff is bullshit, there wont be any changes. There never was with any other president. The president doesnt even really have much power, he is just a figurehead so we can belive that we have some put in our government system.

It still sickens me to hear this type of thing, but sadly it no longer surprises me. In our area, we just saw a sentencing for a man who was involved with a 12 year old, and they killed her parents and 8 yr old brother. Gang activity is a big part of the youth murder problem too. Did you hear about the guy In California that dressed as Santa, went to his ex wifes familys christmas party, and killed Her, Her Mom and Dad, and a couple of the brothers and sisters. Shot a 8 year old girl in the face when she answered the door AND set their house on fire. Aparently he wanted to make them all pay for the divorse. It's horrible, I mean what is going on with people lately? I about cried when I read the story in the paper.
