Guys, this isn't a scam or anything, but if you're as nostalgic as I am, PLEASE check out rs2006.net! The people over there are basically making pre-May 15th 2006 Runescape available again and it looks like it'll be awesome. The old music, the old quests, the old animations, even tutorial island! It's currently got 70k people registered so it's definitely going to be a hit, might as well encourage the devs by showing your support. Just trying to help. ;-)

Runescape was so great when exploring the world for the first time as a young boy. I remember being lost just north of Falador and I couldn't recognise where I was on the map so I decided to cast home teleport for the first time. I thought it would take half an hour to cast to spell. This was on an evening just before I had to leave for the theatre but I begged my parents to wait half an hour until the spell would finish so I could see whether it had worked.

I remember when I first played runescape in 2003 or so. I was so happy when I completed Dragon Slayer. Then I leveled to 66, got full rune, and felt fulfilled. I stopped playing in 2009-2010 but sometimes I still go back just cause of fun. I remember lobstering and stuff. But Jagex clearly ruined it with the pointless stuff, and the new graphics.

Such a nostalgie, I used to play Runescape for 3 years. Since 2005 till 2008. I loved Runescape, but then suddenly something changed. Grand exchange, warning while trade,...and big trades disappeared. You were looking for something special. WTS, WTB famous terminology words! Many times you had problem to get into world 1 or 2, because of many people who wanted to trade. I missed that times, but when somebody ask me for a good game I still recommend Runescape. Tutorial Island was a great tutorial, and if they still haven't done anything with that "Sir Vant" Tutorial, It still sucks. Tutorial taught you much more, All you learn is how to use items, fight, and mine/woodcut. Tutorial Island was a much more beautiful place, with a more memorable tutorial, and it taught you all the essentials to being a successful character.

It was 2006 when I first played runescape. I logged on, was sent to tutorial island. It was actually beautiful scenery, despite being a low res java game at the time. Sometimes I'll go to the Wizard's Tower with my Orb of Oculus just to look at the largest buidling on the island and how it's look now matches the rest of RS, almost amazing. The game's graphics have come a long way. The community, however, has died. RIP Runescape, hello Moneyscape.

Tutorial Island was so perfect in the game. If we think about it even back up to 2008-2009 they still allowed the new players to start in tutorial island. But then they messed up by introducing the new sir vant and the green dragon thing. that lasted for a small amount of time and they had to put tutorial island back. Then they stayed like that for a while. And it when back and forth again until they finally settled with sir vant and the red dragon, which was even worse than the first..
