  • WHY THE HELL DONT THEY SHOW BILL FUKING BRUFORD DURING THE CRAZY DRUM PARTS FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

  • Rabin mirroring Wakeman's part at 3:46 is freakin' amazing.

  • Feel lost in the city.

  • See, John doesnt have to strain to sound like that, Unlike some Prog singers you know .

  • @thetweeze10 hey....take it easy on Geddy!!!!! He's playing and singing ok! OK!!!!!!!........you were referring to Geddy Lee right?

  • Stop with the capes...These guys are so much cooler without the capes.ok Wakeman, keep the cape.the rest of you just get an oversized black shirt or something...I love this band

  • Who the hell is the one person who "disliked" this? WTF

  • @tonusaitis LOLOL! You're so right!!!

  • Steve Howe don't even look to Rabin's face hehe

  • close to the edge is 90% jon anderson, as was all their 70s stuff.

  • one of their best...this lineup...absolutely fantastic...

  • 2:17 What amazing vocals. still scares me.

  • Perfection! I love this song. I've never heard another band that is so tight and together as they are. So much talent in one band...............I love this song!

  • I can't imagine what Wakeman and Moraz would be like together...

  • That is Rick Wakeman on Keyboards. I have seen them countless times and they are always great! But, YES without Jon Anderson is like Van Halen with out Eddie.

  • Eternally, the best! God exists!!!

  • @Psyclist576 Your dead on! gods of all gods. I had the honor of meeting the gods them selves. awesome!!!!

  • Magnificanto!!!!!Thank Nitrus for the post

  • This is the ultimate rock band jam session with a complete arsenal of rhythm, texture, harmony and melody. Absolutely orgasmic! When do they return to the US?

  • Nothing like it before. Will likely never be anything like it again. Our band is trying to learn this number. God give me strength! LOL!

  • Aside from the vocals, it shouldn't be too impossible. My band too is going to use this material, but only the first instrumental section, as part of a medley.

    Best of luck, though.

  • My gawd, it's an army of ROCK

  • I was at the Yessongs tour in Minneapolis. MN in 72...73? and again for this tour in New Jersey. I have seen them original and mixed. I would go see this band anytime...in any form. They are timeless....only the best.

  • In 1991 gods came down to earth and played a little music for us...

    and it was very good

  • Unmatched talent

  • love rabin's TIGHT pants! lol!

This was one great concert I would have given my right arm for...

  • awsome, pretty much just like yessongs!

  • thats cool that they invite their past members

  • I'm pretty sure they all joined up and toured for a quite a while. They sound really solid!

  • lolKaye

I assume, since that's definitely not Wakeman.

  • can`t think of any words.

    maybe 1, PERFECTION

  • Timeless absouletly timeless

  • This is the formaly evidence that 8 genius musicians can play for a very short time together !

Unfortunately it was was a to short period !

The best of rock I ever listen to

    G

That makes me a bit sad !

    Greetings from Dr. J.

This is the reincarnation of prog´n roll !

  • Absolutely brilliant and timeless. Lately, I have been replaying this video about every day. I'll never forget buying the Yes album Fragile when I was a young teen, and listening to this song over and over again. I loved it then and I love it now.

  • i just love it

  • I was lucky enough to have seen this tour in Toronto Mister Anderson never souded better.

  • wow

  • This song is one of the greatest compositions of all time, definetely Yes are gods of music, in the same way Mozart and Beethoven were in their time...who´s with me??

  • YES!!!!!!

40 yrs of concert going, over 30 x seeing Yes since 1974. The Union tour, along with Yes Symphonic, among my top 10 concerts of all time (along with Pink Floyd -The Wall Live 1980.)

  • @Deadwing1107

    I agree 100%

  • @Deadwing1107 I'm with you!!!!

  • @Deadwing1107 I love this song! Sends chills up my spine everytime I hear it

  • @Deadwing1107 absolutly gd damn right.

  • @Deadwing1107 absolutly gd damn right. gifts from god for sure.

  • @Deadwing1107 I defenitively not ! I´m adoring a lot of yes compositions. In my opinion their are the first line in rock music ! But to compare them with composers who climbed the last step of evolutionary ladder!? I don´t think so ! By the way: This is awonderfull interpretation ( in my eyes)

  • @Deadwing1107 I'm sure with you. Yes explored music like few other bands have.

  • @Deadwing1107 I agree that they are the finest composers but, this concert isn't at all a grasp of them. Everything was off. This concert sucked. I love YES and I am a great fan. They had a BAD GIG.

  • @Deadwing1107 this is why i am always amazed at the fact that bruford left because he didnt get to show his true talent, since his drumming for yes was 10x better than any drummer nowadays

  • @Deadwing1107 I second it, but who composed this? Steve?

  • For me personally, this is the greatest band ever and this the greatest piece of music ever performed on a stage. So glad to have seen them so often in their heyday. Awesome.

  • I tend to agree with you such an awsome band and such a great piece of work and this version is so excellent as well they are some of the best I had the pleasure of seeing back in thier heyday I saw them only 3 times back in the early 70s but I will always remember how good they were better then zep or rory gallahger or mahogany rush even deep purple and traffic lol yep Ive seen em all and lots more lol 100s more

  • nothing could be better

  • Yes ROCK

  • You guys think Tony Kaye was "holly shit how do I play this here?"

  • Ha, ha, very good. I think Tony stuck to the black keys on this one.

  • bom!!

  • ótimo

  • It WAS released on Video. An AMAZING Video with tons of extra's. Don't why he poster says this was never released.

    :(

  • As long as the tunes rock, they could be naked, for all I care... wait, no, that's a little too far... :P

  • looks like a poncho!! or is that kaye wearing that thing?

  • Greatest band ever.

  • A - M A Z - I N G. I fucking LOVE THIS SHIT!!!

  • choling- youre a faggot. I am high as a weasel right now- send the cops over and you come with them- the gate is open. you can meet my little friend.

now where was I before the vermin stuck their ugly pock marked head into my dream of the sunrise ...ahh there it is.

  • Haha, dude, ain't that sweet? getting high and then watch some cool YouTube clips?

  • you're right about top 5, but it sure as hell was not a hit

    (should have been one1)

  • THANKS for posting this!!

Where do I get this Video. I just got my Blueray and High Def...and I MISS THIS MUSIC.

You Tube has become an eclectic journey through my past.

While You Tube has a lot of horse shit on it...the musical repository is becoming an archive of the 1st order.

I'm hooked. Sometimes I look up and it 2AM and I have to get up to go to work in 4 hours...oh well...nostalgia has its price.

  • Among the TOP 5 slower classic rock hits of ALL time

  • I just covered this on my Rick. I now know my bass was not tuned like Chris Squire's.

    Well, I still works! =D

Thanks for posting this two part'r!

    Peace~

  • This is absolutely awesome ! I got high for the first time listening to Fragile and now I just naturally atain the same high listening to there magic.

  • Getting high smoking dope?

Big mistake stating this on youtube, and I've just called the police and they're on their way to your home. They mentioned something about a "mandatory cavity search". Not sure what that means, but it sounds kind of serious.

  • no he is high on music and he better comes to holland .we have no problemo,s here.my weet is almost ready to cut and dry.greatings from Wim.you better live fore love....

  • 6:20 to 6:70 seems a little lost.

  • you are right,but neverteless

  • nevertheless they're brilliant of course :)

  • in the city? :)

  • a classic

  • Love Bruford soft drumming in this song

  • Wow! What a line up. Thanx for posting this one.

  • Chris Squire proving again he's one of the best.

  • Saw them several times in the seventies, even helped make dinner for them once. Steve Howe, still the best guitarist of the times.

  • Sure thing pal. Steve Howe is to a guitar what Niccolo Paganini used to be to a violin.

  • glad to see that Steve is being recognized for his creativity and unique sound instead of a speed demon hackmaster like most modern guiatrists...Prime example: look at youtube - how many speed demons technicians can you find on there? maybe too many? but not many truly unique guitarists

  • excellent version ! jon is perfect

  • Don't lie to me you bastard, there's always a pun intended. Always.

  • Sure wish the 72 line-up of these thug-pirates would go on 4ever as Yes. nuthin gainst anyone else from Yes, sure wish I could join the parade, as a Topographic float!? Last check I was a 1/3 of the size of the sun-rise. They said I was rather large 4 A wombat, I'll show THEm!

  • the wonderful thing about the band on this tour is these were guys trying to have fun considering the logistical nightmares.bill bruford and alan white complimented each other beautifully

  • Absolutely fabulous job, from beginning to end. Could not have been better!

  • 1991 eh. 16 years ago. Wonder if they could still do it? Probably they could do it from their graves.

Love the group, love the music. Grew up with it.

  • NEW 70s YES LIVE 2-DVD SET! Many regard Live at Queens Park Rangers Stadium, 1975 as the best live recording of Yes in the 70s. Unbelievably it's almost impossible to find. Not anymore, now the MASSES of Yes fans can have easy access to this concert by checking out our new 2DVD set - Yes A Celebration, 1969-1979. It features many Yes videos from the 70s as well as Live at QPR 1975 with improved audio. Click on my profile for clips.

  • Jon's voice is perfect.

  • two guitars, two keyboardists, two drummers, you would think the song would get muddled. Not the case though. Howe, whoever that other guy is, Kaye, and Wakeman share the load wonderfully, but kudos to Alan White for letting Bill Bruford take center stage on this one, classic Bruford.

  • I'm surprised how close to the album version this one is, especially Jon's vocals are excellent

  • Wow. Very much like on Fragile. I'm 14 again! That's awhile ago!

  • very happy indeed

  • Status: Happy

  • perro!!

  • love comes to you and you follow . . .

  • Close to the Edge, or Tales of Topographic Ocean. Though Fragile, The Yes Album, Relayer, and Tormato are all awesome.

  • which album do you think is their best?

  • Relayer is pretty amazing. But Fragile rules as well.

  • AMAZING SONG ONE OF THE GREATEST

  • Trevor's vibrato sweep picking does't really sound rigt for this song

  • its great to finally see this song live been looking for it

  • its amazing they could get all these guys together ...if this is possible why can't Genesis do the same with PB , surely his ego equates to only a few yes member's egos

  • do you mean PG? would love to see that

  • yeah sorry PG not PB. I'm really PO'ed about the whole thing. I mean he really could spare a year to go on tour

  • if your a Genesis fan, you should check out 'the musical box' cover band on google. i saw them in toronto and belive me they are not small time cover gig. they do an amazing show including set design, costumes, instruments, note for note..and they tour all over the world. im too young to have seen genesis live but it seems like the next best thing. chek it out
