  • stop bitching and whining about bands "copying" other bands. Bush loved Nirvana as do I..when did being influenced by another band become a negative thing? fuck off and go troll elsewhere

  • Great song, but I wish they would upload the audio at a higher bitrate. For this being an official video, the audio is muffled and tinny. Vevo sucks!

  • you can have dagos fighting and fornicating in jersey, teen whore diarys, but you can't have a dude ripping the wings off an angel on MTV these days.

  • When Bush wasn't like the hair shielding the vagina....

  • People who compare things to other things are just losers with nothing better to do. STFU no one cares about your conjecture.

  • @indegruv i love you a little. your comment made me tear up. in all seriousness, you've addressed one of my biggest gripes.

  • @suslider I'm not saying they weren't popular before he died. I'm saying the only reason the remained as popular is bc he killed himself.

  • Over 15 years, already. I never understood or heard the Nirvana comparisons that got people to loathe this band. Gavin sounds nothing like Kurt. that being said, the song was the one that woke me up to Bush. Razorblade Suitcase and Sixteen stone became my most treasure albums. hated Machinehead when I first heard it, but that all changed. LOL!

  • @zachharmon77 lol yes, I was alive in the Nirvana era. And yes I was cold enough to remember the music. You have ro realize Elvis & John Lennon were household names for a loooong time before they passed. Kurt Cobain had been around for like an hour with one mega album under his belt, one that was pretty good and their first album. He gained ultrafame in death

  • Now that is what I call a music video! lost art.

  • Why can't people love Nirvana and Bush at the same fucking time?! D: They're both some of my favorite bands and they're both amazing.

  • @MadiFuckingPwns Because they are losers with nothing better to do.. like actually pick up an instrument and try to contribute with something other than "I think..." bullshit.

  • @MadiFuckingPwns cuz theres always gonna be whiny bitchy trolls

  • Nirvana was only as big as it was bc Cobain killed himself.

  • @SeekRapunzel20 Were you actually alive when Kurt Cobain died? Everything they did was huge news from 91-94, even before he died. I think your comment is ignorant. So are Elvis and John Lennon only big because they died?

  • @SeekRapunzel20

You are dead wrong. I remember being at a Milwaukee bar in 1990, when the video for smells like teen spirit was played. Seemed like everyone stopped what they were doing to watch. I had never heard of those guys, but that moment, I felt they were gonna be huge. Hell, I thought were bigger before the suicide.

  • Why is everyone comparing Nirvana and Bush? The is nothing to compare. They are both different. Nirvana has a lot more feeling.

  • back when music videos were movies...

  • this video is only if your stoned. its like wdf if your not.

  • One thing I disliked about 90's rock was everyone shoving Nirvana down my throat. Come to 90's music videos 15 years later and it's the same thing.

  • A little fyi. Dead men cant pull triggers!!!

  • Love the song but what is with Gavin wearing the e-collar at the beginning of the video? Was he recently neutered or are they afraid that he might bite them?

  • I'm screaming daisies!!

  • great, make a movie out of this one!

  • I miss the 90's

  • its awesome reading the comments about how much music used to kick ass in the 90s.... tho it does leave me feeling a bit old -_-

  • this came out when I was in junior high...back when you could still listen to the radio.

  • I was born on the wrong end of the 90's. -.-

  • omg! I thought this was the most badass video when it came out!!

  • what the fuck happened to music?

    ::sigh::

  • fix three days grace vevo

  • Bush, along with STP are my favorite 90's bands ever. I like Nirvana, but then again EVERYONE seems to like Nirvana. Sure they were probably the most noticed band of the 90's but give other alternative bands some credit, will you? Just saying. Thats my opinion.

  • @SilentHillHeather I was never a fan of Nirvana... now Bush, STP, and Pearl Jam... that was my ultimate!

  • there is a place worse there jail for you heard that befor

  • F**k ,this song brings me back to 1997, 13 years old, rebelling against everything and everyone. I remember coming home everyday after school, flipping on MTV to watch these great music videos; this was one of my favorites, just so moody The 90's were EPIC!!!!!!!!.

  • @DubQWST Couldn't agree more... I love bush! I've seen them live soooo many times!

  • @DubQWST mid 90's was the last time i could even imagine watching MTV... I used to leave it on almost all day (I skipped road rules and real world and shit like that). Videos all day, Beavis and Butthead, liquid television and Sifl and Olly all night. And Headbangers ball on the weekend...

A few years, sometime between C&C music factory and the Backstreet Boys we had it all...

  • @DubQWST 1997 was a great year. i went to my 1st concert, Lollapalooza 97. lots of other crazy things happened that year too. I was 15 and felt like I was on a cloud. Bush was always playing and so was Silverchair, but Bush remains awesome.

  • @DubQWST wow talk about rebelling against the world watching mtv damn ur such a bad ass

  • ... Holly shit... I have never seen something so dynamic.... This is truly amazing!

  • I would love to pick Gaven's mind and see what the meaning behind this awesome video is. it is a pretty unique video. That is not a queue for You Tube ppl to fill me in with their "deep" meanings either.

  • R.E.M. - Bang and Blame

this song reminds me of it.

  • 0:01

  • saw Bush last night in Boston, they still got it, it was a great show.

  • The best part of the video was the gun cocking sound at the end.

They used the same sound in Perfect Dark.

Also, this was the wrong video to watch during breakfast.

  • this was truely an epic time for bush! ground breaking music and video! miss those days! have not seen anything else come close. also feel like they really lost their edge!

  • bush kicks ass

  • I always thought this was the SE7EN music video

(back when MTV played MUSIC VIDEOS)

  • this song and vid makes u wonder, wat was the insperation

  • Let's see...Nigel Pulsford and Gavin met in a london nightclub, realized they shared the same interests in bands they loved such as The Pixies, MC5, bob marley, Big Black, the jesus lizard, Husker Du, and....wait for it....NIRVANA. I happen to love Nirvana and Bush, so all you clowns who say bush emulated Nirvana, do us all a favor, put the shotgun to your heads and pull the trigger, cause clearly they emulated nobody. All you idiots do is disgrace nirvana by putting them in the same sentence.

  • Never really understood that video. I take the ending of "there's a place worse than jail for you" to imply hell or a hell-like existence. But that whole angel..to insect/human hybrid thing is baffling.

  • This video was really well shot, great quality especially for 1997

  • Can't wait to see Gavin live here in Corpus Christi Oct. 21!!! Yeah Baby!!!

  • Can we shut the fuck up about politics and watch the fucking video already........Take your political battles elsewhere.

    Signed,

    A political science major.

  • i want this music back!!!

  • Hahahaha... what a ridiculous video this is! Good song though.

  • Well Nirvana was emulating the Pixies and the Pixies were emulating someone else. Thats what art and music is. Nothing is original, everything has been done in some shape and form. There was alot less punk/grunge in Bush, which I liked alot better than Kurt screaming incoherently about raping a parrot.

  • @faid421 good one... Kurdt Cobain wasn't a god he was a young guy making good music. Odd, I listen to Nirvana more then I listen to my zeppelin CD's.

  • @zyclonb6 Kurt loved Zeppelin, and the Beatles too..

  • @faid421e derp derp derp derp.

  • @faid421e >implying that Nirvana has absolutely no influence on pop culture

    >implying that all critics who loved "Nevermind" and "In Utero" (read: 97% of them) are talentless hacks

    >implying that Gavin Rossdale is a much better songwriter

excuse me while I laugh at your sincerity

  • @Malkmusianful your statements are illogical and littered with falicies. My statement in of itself implies that Nirvana DID have an effect on pop culture, never directly mentions critics or that MY OPINION holds more merit than most critics nor do i imply that they have no talent. My PERSONAL preference for BUSH over Nirvana mainly has to do with the fact that Kurt off'd himself when I was 11 so I moved on to something else. i dont know why you read between the lines where nothing is written

  • @faid421e if i didn't know any better i'd say you were saying kurt's music was less than art...you know whether you appreciate the wonders kurt cobain and nirvana did for the music industry or not you should still recognize they are a big contributing factor of why you even have bush today...Respect cobains contribution because he's the reason bush is what you like to listen too today.

  • Kurts music is art. but I moved on after he died. he let alot of his fans down by offing himself. i was 11 and I LOVED nirvana. and Yes Nirvana did do alot for the music industry. I dont know what statement I ever made to imply that. I merely gave my personal opinion and you gave yours however illogical it may have been. I still have INUTERO and a few singles of NIRVANA. Im not totally against them. just not a big fan anymore

  • @faid421e i really like nirvana but i can't stand nirvana fans. they act like nirvana's the only band on the planet.

  • @faid421e

Assuming that you are talking about Polly, it is about a GIRL who gets kidnapped and tortured, NOT the rape of a parrot. Anyway, go fuck yourself.

  • @faid421e that song isnt about a parrot at all, listen to the lyrics more :D

  • @faid421e Yeah, but Kurts music came from his personal pain. Gavin's reasons we're for fame and dollar signs only. There's no soul there. But nobody seems to give a fuck about that.

  • @faid421e Don't talk Shit about Kurt Cobain, Thank You :)

  • @faid421e nah yo kurt was more epic than bush even though i love bush but nirvana has more emotion and u obviously dont look past im just screaming cuz if u did u wud find more meaning than any off bushes songs

  • @faid421e Alot more went into the music of both BushX and Kurt. Just have to open your mind and not google search everything

  • @faid421e Amen.

  • Lol er'body n day mama know Nirvana started er'thang aftr the MetallicA era..

  • THE ONLY GOOD BUSH!!! FUCK PRES. BUSH!!! PUSSY BUSH SUCKS!!! AND BUSCH BEER SUCKS!!!

  • @purechaoz Bush was an amazing president, especially for what he was under. Obama is useless

  • @Spenso89

Tell that to all the mothers and fathers that lost their sons during Bush's two little "wars". They would likely disagree. Bush was and still is a piece of shit who is responsible for more American deaths since Johnson, and raped our freedoms and rights like no other president in history. Obama got tossed a bag of shit and had to make the best of it, which he has tried to do despite the RepubliKKKans in office constantly blocking him at every turn.

  • @Dorelaxen We are fucked economically and you elect a democrat. are you retarded. and POINTLESS?1?!?! do you piss on 9/11. we are taking down terrorists asshole.

You criticize your government, and say war never solves anything. He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting. and we only lost 5,000. they know what they signed up for. Quit being blind. Any soldier will dissagree with you. You Panzy.

  • @Spenso89

Whoa. It's like watching a Kindergartner toss his own feces at a wall and hope that words get formed from it. I won't say anything else, lest I ruin the perfect beauty of the trainwreck that you just posted.

  • 1:55 for music

  • I really miss this time.........

  • Shit up about nirvana n soundgarden n y not I have music from all of them nirvana echo a whole generation Chris has in my opinion a voice second to none and bush fn rocks!!!

  • LOVE Bush. Saw them many times when I was in high school, 13 years ago.

My friends and I worshiped Gavin. I assume it's like how the little girls now are into Beiber...except Bush is a real band and can really sing, and I don't think Gavin looks like a woman.

  • the singer is really into himself

  • Remember when Much Music used to have a warning before showing this video? Remember when Much Music showed MUSIC VIDEOS?

  • @meganbris Remember when Vevo didn't exist, or online ads. I'd almost rather download this from KazaA and risk a virus.

  • @zyclonb6 i use Ares and dont have a problem with virus..

  • @meganbris i use to get much music on my tv then it switched over to fuse now it needs to be switched over again to crap

  • @meganbris Internet killed the video star

  • some one tell me whats this song about

  • @jeffburky8388 It's about your mom. Actually, it's about a very greedy lover who is ruining the relationship with her greediness and indecisiveness. They decided to take the title and make a science fiction based video around it.

Actually, yes, it is about your mom.

  • Oh the memories. This was the best Bush video ever.

  • Do you feel the way you hate? Do you hate the way you feel? Are you poison ?

  • every 90s band was unique and were influenced by eachother, but no one coppied. So SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE SONG

  • i remember this shit cranked up t-tops out cruisin around gas 99 a gal

  • I hate vevo, they make me wait an extra 15 seconds to listen to this messiah of music FOR A FUCKING AD ON TOYOTA

  • BUSH IS WAAAAAYYYY BETTER THAN NIRVANA

  • @ReallyRandi Bush isn't better than Nirvana in any way kid. Bush got some of their inspiration from Nirvana, Nirvana was short lived but people still talk about them unlike Bush, and Nirvana changed music which Bush didn't and can't. Bush is good but Nirvana is better, sorry to burst your stupid little bubble, now grow up.

  • @TheSkittles1001 lol. And Nirvana was inspired by Soundgarden. What's your point? Nirvana just struck the magic formula. I'll give this to Bush. This song is deeper and more meaningful than anything Nirvana came up with. This song is about about failure of ambition. Most likely with money and business. However that doesn't mean it hits the top of the chart.

  • @ReallyRandi its not even the same kind of music i think bush it amazing but you can not compare things that r nothing a likeso not they are not way better they are way different

  • This is one strange video. But it IS effective. It gets your attention and holds it. That's effective. And then there's the song; I think it's one of their best. And this was one of the best groups of the 90s. Forget the comparisons. They were successful, their "themes" and "sound" were different enough and their fanbase was not really anyone elses. I wish they would come back with some shit like th this.

  • @richardmbowman He fails financially. Becomes homeless. And beats the living shit out of his guardian angel for not protecting him. I'm not sure that the whole fly thing is about though. Perhaps if symbolizes his insignificance. He is not the big shot he thought he would be. Just a common fly.

  • @StrokedGT Nirvana never would have made a video like this, yet look at "In Bloom" and "Heart Shaped Box". They were probably more than this, and definitely stranger. Yes Nirvana was better but don't hate on Bush, which you were.

  • Is it me or the volume on this song seems kinda low compared to the rest of all other songs.

  • Bush and Nirvana dont compare, Kurt would never make such a ridiculous, over produced video like this. I like both bands but Nirvana changed music forever

  • Bush dont even compare to Nirvana,Led Zeppelin kicks all there asses

  • Nirvana is nothing like bush. Nirvana makes zero since unless your on cloud 9 like he was 24/7. Bush actually makes since to a sober person. Or a really Stoned person how ever you prefer it lol :)

  • Comment removed

  • directed by Micheal Bay

  • there were emulated nirvana but it work out pretty good and be came there own thing

  • @berserker767 no they werent. they werent even influenced by Nirvana. they were influenced by stuff like the pixies.

  • @berserker767 there is no way their lyrics can compare. Bush is so deep. Nirvana is quite the opposite in most cases.

  • Gavins head on an enormous fly body...nice

  • i'm screamin daisies

  • Amazing video, reminiscent of "Seven"

  • fuck the head and shoulders commerical...ugh, life sucks in the future...

  • @TheShyPieGuy .. I got some fucking commercial for gum or something .. Sucks that youtube is apparently becoming the douchebags we're all trying to give up on ..

  • Bush is a horrible band. this is their only decent song

  • @1primusman you prick go choak on a choad!

  • @1primusman You must live under a rock. Amongst other bush songs, their greatest songs are glycerin, machinehead, little things, comedown, everything zen, chemicals between us...

  • @187thunderkiss yes i have heard those songs. and many more. unfortunately

  • bush started making music vids for the internet in 2004. songs were from 1990s

  • This song is the shit i used to bump bush back in the day sixteen stone razorblade suitcase are classics!

  • its a shame that they put so much fucking work into this video and it only has 61,937 views. this is hands down one of the greatest songs and music videos i have ever heard and seen and everyone is too busy listening to shit music to ever even notice what a great piece of art this is.

  • @TheFervours dude this song was out in like 1996....like 10 years before youtube.........

  • @skinflint420 how is that relevant?

  • @TheFervours

    >>>>>>>>>>"its a shame that they put so much fucking work into this video and it only has 61,937 views."

I will never matter how many views this video or any other video has, dumbass! Great video but still...

  • shit brings me right back to the good ol days highschool grade 10, nwo was running wrestling and stone cold was stunnin everything in siitee

  • Fuck off with your stupid adds vevo!!

  • Very violent and disgusting. Very wierd. You'd think a police dept. would know where to find a good plumber to clean up all that water in the interrogation room.

  • gotta love bush! :p heh......love this song!

  • @TiffNicole1981 Bush for Pres 2012!!! ....And not the one sitting in his rocking chair sipping chai tea in his texas ranch.

  • i love this song but the video is fucking wierd

  • Someone please explain to me what's this video is about...I know it came during the Seven/X-files era but I can' t follow the plot...someone shoot me an PM...thx

  • love the tune... but hate videos that take a minute to get to the tune,,

  • "what that means is....there's a place worse than jail for you ma man"....very remeniscent of Apocalypse Now

  • I"ll take that smoke now.

  • Gavin makes me moist.

  • no not the real!!!!!!!!!

  • yum always loved how his hair fell around his face when he was singing

  • always loved this video, swear it could be stretched into an entire movie

  • Big Tune!

  • one of my favorite videos/songs ever

  • great album Razorblade suitcase

  • sixteen stone razorblade suitcase best albums af all time for all bands? I think so!!!!!!!!

  • GOTTA LOVE THE RAZORBLADE SUITCASE

  • Wow, they really went all out with this one. I gotta say, I dont like much of their stuff that isnt from sixteen stone. Im happy to say this is different.

  • I remember his song. But never knew what it meant. Can someone tell me what was it about?

  • @kungfuwhip78 I always thought it was about a person who can't decide what he/she actually wants. And so instead they wind up stuck doing nothing. In the end, even just wanting anything makes him/her greedy.

  • To the person that says Bush was emulating Nirvana: May you die and be raped by a thousand horny goats. Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @Gryphn80 Damn straight, way more thought into their songs

  • @Gryphn80 your an idiot

  • @Gryphn80 dude bush was kinda emulating nirvana...but they sound good

  • @Gryphn80 i agree, bush stands alone

  • @Gryphn80 yeah in hindsight although the media critics implied Bush emulated Nirvana, there's no evidence for that at all...just because they shared a producer on one album is irrelevant.

  • @Gryphn80 lmao

  • @Gryphn80 Fuck hahah wow they kinda did you know they were really good no doubt but come on everybody was trying to be like Nirvana fucking Kiss did an album that was all 90's like and the best song on there is the one where they were trying to be like Nirvana!there's nothing wrong with being infuenced you know.

  • @Gryphn80 Dude, I like some of Bush's music. Sixteen Stone had some kickass songs..but its painfully obvious that they were emulating Nirvana. You sir are in denial.

  • Oh, 90s! How i mss thee! There was a homeless movement in my town during the glorious decade and i intend to bring it back.

  • My first bush experience, I was 12, gotta love it. VIVA the 90's.

  • Loved Bush since i was a kid thanks to my sister's obsesion of Gavin...this one of their best songs and videos;

  • One of the most inspirational songs/videos I've ever experienced has been voted the worst music video ever made? I clearly have no understanding of the world I live in.

  • The only thing this band ever did that was prove that Nirvana was talented, and extremely difficult to emulate.

  • this is so stupid do ppl watch this for fun?
