Forget Forbes. For Manny to win he should look to the ODLH-Floyd fight. Stick and move like Floyd did(actually Floyd ran like a girl the whole night.) But I think Mannys chance is to stick & move, and rack up points. He won't TKO ODLH, and MP's chin is questionable. Light hitting Marquez rang his bell in RD 2. ODLH is quite capable of getting a KO. MP should make ODLH come to him, try to wear him out, stick & move. If MP tries to slug it out he will lose by KO.
The Forbes fight is a good indicator on how the Pac/ODLH fight will go. Forbes is much slower than Pac w/his hands and feet and ODLH tagged him almost at will. Yet as successful as ODLH was, he was the one w/the broken bone in his face. Pac hits harder than Forbes. I think Pac by a surprise TKO in the later rounds, after leading on the cards. As long as Pac doesn't get caught squarely too many times, he should handle ODLH.

I do believe pacman is much faster then dl... but there is no way he can knockout dl, since dl has taken harder shots "tito" and several other harder punchers... My question is this, if pacman hit so hard why couldn't he knockout marquez? i think, the pacman camp is considering the forbes fight. Forbes also, came up to welther from 135, just as pacman is. So they figure, Manny is a much greater fighter than Forbes, so he must have somewhat of a chance.

the diffrence between black fighters and mexican fighters is that Mexican fighters almost 99% are the ones applying the pressure. In essence there the ones creating the action. Black fighters are very well skilled but in my opinion lack the chin and punching power that mexicans have. They take advantage in speed and footwork, but they make real boring fighters. I like sugar shane and bernard as well as joe frazier and tommy herns. These new (maywether) blacks are boring as hell to watch.

Manny pacquiao is just too fast for de la hoya.if u think the fight was just a setup. that's rididculous. De la hoya is richer than manny. in fact. he's the wealthiest boxer of all-time. hes' not desperate to do that. Manny is really a great fighter.

i actually think its the weight. he was weight drained and it cost him going down in weight. yea pacquiao was going up in weight but he usually comes in at that weight on fight night. and dlh is a dumbass fkn 145 in weigh in pss smh and then q pound less then pacman.

dude if you wached the fucking fight you saw that Delahoya kenw how fast Manny was and if he threw 1 punch and missed he definitely wouldve been counter punched and surely hit at least 3 times be4 regaining balance from pacquiao. He respected his quickness and he chose when to punch and when not to.

no i am certainly not telling u hes incapable of taking shots form manny but i am telling u that forbees is slow and his speed is nothing compared to manny. when u talk about power idk about oscar though cus they were the same weight and manny has the exact same power he has speed. Remember boys and girls, this was a TUNEUP fight for DeLaHoya prior to his rematch with Mayweather before Mayweather announced his retirement. Not discrediting Forbes but come on, he's a sitcom T.V. fighter. DLH needed to show the audience that he still had it in order for folks to buy into his Mayweather rematch. AGAIN THIS WAS A DLH TUNEUP FIGHT. Forbes wasnt even that competitive.

stevie forbes touched oscar something awful this night, this was the oscar i seen that made me think " okay its time for your ass to retire" oscar was wayy better in the mayweather fight, quicker, sharper and some more. oscar looked terrible here.

Forget Forbes. For Manny to win he should look to the ODLH-Floyd fight. Stick and move like Floyd did(actually Floyd ran like a girl the whole night.) But I think Mannys chance is to stick & move, and rack up points. He won't TKO ODLH, and MP's chin is questionable. Light hitting Marquez rang his bell in RD 2. ODLH is quite capable of getting a KO. MP should make ODLH come to him, try to wear him out, stick & move. If MP tries to slug it out he will lose by KO.

The Forbes fight is a good indicator on how the Pac/ODLH fight will go. Forbes is much slower than Pac w/his hands and feet and ODLH tagged him almost at will. Yet as successful as ODLH was, he was the one w/the broken bone in his face. Pac hits harder than Forbes. I think Pac by a surprise TKO in the later rounds, after leading on the cards. As long as Pac doesn't get caught squarely too many times, he should handle ODLH.

The only chance manny has is to stick and move and try to win on points. Oscar has taken punches from middleweights (168lbs) It aint like Manny at135 pounds, bloated to 147 for this fight can hurt him. Oscar has been dealing out KOs since the early 90's. Manny can last only until Oscar lands his left hook. You saw round 2 of the second Marquez fight...even Marquez rang Mannys bell. It will be a short fight, Oscar by KO.

i agree that oscar will win. i think manny pacquiao will make a big mistake if he tries to trade punches with him. by instinct manny will probably trade punches with oscar because he is the hardest puncher pound 4 poud. he will realize it wont work against a much bigger man. manny is known for his power punching and speed he is not a master boxer. since manny cant hurt oscar he has nothing else to rely on and he'll lose

No one knows better than Fredie Roach who trained De la hoya and Pacquiao during their glory days. I think I would listen to Roach who knows them both very well and their limitation. Roach knows the aging relic golden boy is no longer the same, size won't help.

I do believe pacman is much faster then dl... but there is no way he can knockout dl, since dl has taken harder shots "tito" and several other harder punchers... My question is this, if pacman hit so hard why couldn't he knockout marquez? I don't know if many of you have boxed but moving up 12 pounds is by no means an easy job and there is a huge possibility to feel lethargic and weak at fight night. That being said, I can't wait to see what happens and good luck to both!

Pacman wouldn't have the same power at 147, nor could his chin take the same punches from a welter. That would definitely make him slow down his punch output. Oscar would beat Pac easily. That fight doesn't make sense at all.

maybe if Pacquiao take a page of what Mayweather did and elect to box 80% and only brawl only inside where Oscar would have a hard time getting him as clean then maybe Oscar would have a hard time. Pacquiao also needs to improve his defense when he lunges with that left jab and right combo since Oscar has that left hook with is enough to cause Pacquiao to become off-balance which can lead to a big punch by Oscar. Other than that if Pacquiao can tire Oscar out, then his chances are greater to win

i think, the pacman camp is considering the forbes fight. Forbes also, came up to welther from 135, just as pacman is. So they figure, Manny is a much greater fighter than Forbes, so he must have somewhat of a chance.

But, take into consideration, that Pacquiao was pretty much, for all practical purposes, a welterweight for his fight with David Diaz. And he handled the extra weight fine, and he still had his power. Pacquiao has youth, speed, and power in his favor.
