  • Hey chanderson1, very good review. I would really prefer to get a full-sized gun because I believe compacts and subcompacts sacrifice quality for stealth. I do have one question, though: would the print on your shirt be accentauted if you were sitting on a stool (bar stool for example)? Thanks again for the post.

  • @AdvocateOfJamaica Hi and thanks. Good question about the printing issue while sitting. Yes, if you have a full sized frame handgun like the one in the video, it will print if you wear it at 4:30 as I have it in the video. You can solve this by adjusting the cant to a little more agressive angle. What I have done is started carrying at 3:00. It is just as comfortable with less printing while sitting. Also at 3:00, I find that the gun is much easier to access too.

  • "You talkin' to me?"

  • Your 1911. Is it a full size frame or the smaller compact frame\? I ask because I am looking at getting this holster for a Colt CCO, which has the 4" barrel, but the small "Officer" frame/handle. Also how does the holster do when wearing a t-shirt?

  • @1860CarolinaRebel Hi, my Kimber is the exact same size as your Colt, officer sized frame with a 4" barrel. It hides the gun very well under a tshirt. I find darker colored tshirts to conceal much better. Very comfortable holster for this gun compared to the many others I have tried. You wont regret it.

  • @chanderson1 Thank you very much, you answered my question.

  • does the size of gun and holster feel uncomfortable when you sit or move around?

  • @hooahboy20 No, the holster distributes the weight of a heavy gun very well. The only thing I can say is that the thinner the pistol, the more comfortable you will be. The 1911 is roughly around 1" in width and makes a super comfortable carry pistol.

  • Too bad I don't/can't really go around with my shirt untucked, but I've heard nothing but great things about this holster.

  • How comfortable is sitting with that set up? 1911's arent exactly the smallest things in the world.

  • @ncolleran its noticeable. Like you said, the 1911s are not the smallest things. It is very thin and paired with a good holster, makes carrying daily a little easier.

  • I was going for a kimber, ended up with colt 19ll new agent chambered in 9mm. w/ laser grips

my dad got the super tuck and gave me his comp-tac minotaur, he likes the super tuck, but wishes he never gave me the comp-tac.

They seem very similar, i like how yours has a really big sweat guard, the Minotaur's is much smaller and metal does touch your skin if you don't have a t shirt tucked in.

  • nice setup brotha. excellent pistol too, gotta love a kimber

  • @triggerfingas Thanks!

  • Which gun is that? What model is it?

  • @SigSauerMan1 Its a Kimber Pro CDP II

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • wow. this is the only time i wish i was overweight. to conceal a gun./

me being a little gun its so hard to hide anything :/

  • Does it really hold on to the pistol when you draw it? I have a blackhawk for open carry and I love it because as soon as you depress the button its free and easily drawn. Does this one have resistance I guess is what I'm asking? Thanks for the vid too, I wanted to see how well a 1911 can be hidden.

  • you could carry a ak there your large

  • I'm glad you made this video. I just turned 21 and am brand new at concealed carry. This video showed me exactly how the holster is worn, and that is what I really wanted to know. Thank you for making this video for those of us who are new to the game.

  • @fanfictionfan01 not a problem. the most important thing is to make sure you get use to whatever style you wish to carry thats comfortable for you. thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

  • Another question. Does your holster have the combat cut option on it?

  • @gasmyser i bought it without the combat cut, but later on I decided to do it myself. It feels much better to get an entire grip on your pistol with the combat cut

  • you can conceal a tank under that parachute shirt. lol nice video thnx

  • @0402gavin LOL, yeah not quite the best example, but it was what I was wearing that day. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • @uurdady you copied me. lol

  • @uurdady wow, you got good eyes for detail. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment

  • ok

for walking around I am thinking of wearing it more up front for the same reason I put my wallet in my front pocket... to keep those who "accidentally" might bump me from behind

when driving maybe slide it a bit towards the hip

    thoughts

    thanks

    and love the videos

  • Why is your gun cocked? Sounds like a good way to blow off your ass. Nice concealment though.

  • @YUGBAL52 Thats the way I carry it. The safeties on 1911s work great.

  • @YUGBAL52 - because that's how 1911's operate. If you don't have it cocked you can't put the safety on, nor pull the slide back. In addition to the safety switch, there is a grip safety to the 1911 from firing without your hand actually being on the grip.

  • id have a gun on me if i wore a breitling too!! lmao, nice watch.

  • @bigfootgunot For as long as this video has been up, i think you the only person that has noticed this!!!!...ever. Great job man and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment

  • I would also like to know if I will have to buy new pants. Mine are pretty snug now.

  • @Troyisbig I got lucky because I my waist is a 33 but most pant sizes come in even numbers so I had size 34 pants which gives me a little bit of room. Most likely you will need one size up or a loose fitting pair of jeans to be comfortable with these IWB holsters.

  • This is gonna sound funny, asking about other dudes pants. Can anyone with this holster tell me if I will need to buy bigger pants for this holster? I have a Kimber in a 4 inch. Don't want to go out and buy a bunch of new pants just to carry. I love my Kimber but would rather just go out and buy a smaller gun. You see were I'm coming from. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hey, I bought a supertuck with horseide for my AMT government model 1911 and they come with an extended slide release, extended mag release, and extended safety. They make my gun stick out, it feels and fits terrible (it's mostly the slide release). I noticed that you have an extended ambidextrous safety and wanted to know if I bought a gun with only an extended safety, would it wear into the leather and not stick out? Thanks!

  • @angershark88 Hi, give it a few weeks. The leather will mold around your extended levers. I think mine too about a month before it formed to my body and gun.

  • it just doesnt look that comfortable.

  • @studdgage Compared to any other IWB holster, this has to be one of the most comfortable. Carrying a gun is never totally comfortable, but you do get use to it and this holster really helps out in comfort.

  • @chanderson1 You ever carried in a Brommeland? I carry all day, every day and have never had comfort issues with mine..

  • @mikeblamedenial Hi, unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to own a Brommeland, but I'll definitely check into it. I'm always looking for new holster suppliers. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • @studdgage I found it to be very uncomfortable.

  • @mikeblamedenial yea i went out and bought a blackhawk carry conceal holster i really like it atleast the whole guns isnt in my pants at the belt like all day yuck!

  • nice dam

  • so after wearing it, I'm looking for honest info here , have you had any issues with either unintentional mag or safety releases ? honest question not being a smartass ....but some expensive rigs I've tried failed in these areas. Thanks for any information pro or con !

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK Never had any issues with this happening. I think that if I had an extended mag release installed, then I could see the possibility of this happening. I carry my Kimber Pro CDP, which has an enhanced mag release, but I wouldn't consider it an extended mag release and it has never give me any problems. The leather actually has conformed to the mag release and I can see a slight impression that it has left in the leather. You shouldnt have any problems.

  • @chanderson1 thanks for the answers nice videos.... it's funny I was watching the comparison video with the galco retention snap issues and that is exactly what I'm getting at in some pricey shoulder rigs I have..... well done sir!

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK I've made several expensive mistakes like that. Thats one of the main reasons I started to make videos. Its a lesson well learned and I just wanted to share it with others so they dont make the same costly mistakes. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment...really appreciate it.

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK I have seen guys who will cut out the part of the holster that impacts the mag release. I will try to find the video i saw and get back to you.

  • @glockfan86 Check out the supertuck review by amendment2

  • Basically any holster/gun combo will be concealed under that large baggy shirt.

  • @bobss7 The video was done to show how the holster actually rides on the body. The clothes I had on was just what I was wearing that day. I could have hid an ak47 under that shirt, but that wasnt really the point.

  • I got that same rug. Home Depot $49.99

  • @DirectTech Its very useful in protecting glass items from getting demolished on the tile floors..lol

  • Thanks. They offered to replace the leather to cow hide for a few bucks. I think I'll take them up on it.

  • Do you hear any sound coming off the holster when you sit or walk? I have the horsehide version and it's noisy. Had it over a year now and it still creeps when I sit or walk. Not very audibly concealed.

  • @midwestiowashooter I mainly wear the black cowhide and never had any issues. I did notice it with the horsehide version in the first few times of wearing it, but it eventually went away after a week. I wear mine everyday almost 16 hours a day so break in was quick.

  • I'm using a Crossbread for my XD45 in the attached vid. Check it out.

  • dont shoot your balls off buddy.

  • @massivedong2010 um most people balls are in the front where are yours?

  • since there is no hammer strap do you keep the safety on?

  • @themeaningoflife38 Yes the I carry condition 1, which means one in the barrel, hammer cocked and safety on.

  • @chanderson1 mine has a hammer strap so I carry it with the safety off.I wouldnt want to mess with the safety if I had to use it.

  • @themeaningoflife38 what condition do you carry yours?

  • @chanderson1 I keep one in the chamber and its dual action so the hammer doesnt have to be back

  • @themeaningoflife38 ah ok. I have a traditional 1911 with single action.

  • sweet definately worth graduating over!

  • Comment removed

  • @rayvilla88 No, its actually real. I received it as a graduation present.

  • is that a fake breitling watch ???

  • could you model a slow walk to see if it imprints when stepping.

  • the only thing about in the waistband is you cant sit down comfortably and that sucks big time

  • Cool holster. Do you know if they make them for XD Pistols and 1911s?

  • @ReeseX Hi, I have one for the 1911. It will carry multiple barrel configurations in the 1911 platform. They may even have one for the 1911s with tactical rails. I am almost positive they make one for the Springfield XDs.

  • very nice!

  • I just got my horsehide Crossbreed--it's fine, but it's still so big and PULLS MY PANTS DOWN! Damn, every holster does. Clearly my Glock 23 is way too heavy for every day carry. I hate that! 32oz loaded is too much weight, I'm thinking of getting a Taurus PT709, only 19oz loaded and very "Glock" like.

Anyone want to buy a new Glock 23? Less than 100 rounds fired. I'll return the holster. I still like Crossbreed, it's just not for me.

  • @otown2k What kind of belt are you using? I recommend a think leather belt. I use to have that same problem. But after talk to some long time ccw users and the general solution was thicker belts. Now i am able to carry my glock 30 and 2 extra magazines.

  • @jokerman213

Thank you jokerman. I know to get a thicker belt, tried it, seems to still be heavy. I'll look again. =) I returned the holster though.

  • Do you know of anyone wearing the Crossbreed in the MOB position?

  • No, the holster really is not designed for MOB. Commonly it is worn at 4-5 O'clock position. Although I have worn it at 3 O'clock and it is very comfortable.

  • @chanderson1 So your 1911 is cocked and ready to rock? What is the trigger pull in weight on one of those? Is it similar to a Glock? I've never had a 1911, but I do have a Glock 27 and Taurus .44 mag double action which the trigger is VERY touchy once it is cocked. I always carry my Glock with one in the pipe but there is no double action on it. I'd be scared to carry something that is cocked in my waistband. I don't know though, which is why I'm asking.

  • 'So your 1911 is cocked and ready to rock? What is the trigger pull in weight on one of those?'

A typical 1911 trigger breaks at about 4-5 pounds.

But, condition 1 carry is preferred for a 1911. This is where a round is chambered, the hammer cocked, but the thumb safety is engaged.

The pistol will not fire in this state until the thumb and grip safeties are disengaged. This mode of carry is preferred because the weapon is at an excellent state of readiness but is also actually very safe.

  • i just ordered mine only thing that sucks is u have to wait 2 to 3 weeks cause they have to make them but i heard so many good things about them

  • Believe me, it is worth the wait. I am still wearing mine everyday. One thing, last week I ordered the CompTac Minatour for my P226. I'll compare the difference between the two. I'm sure both have pros and cons, but I just wanted to try a different brand.

  • @jtmoney606 the website says 2-3 weeks, but i got mine in a few days

  • great i hope so

  • i think im gonna go with this or the comp tac minatiour for my kimber tacttical i like em both hard choice

  • Yeah, I'm sure both probably will do the job right. I just never had that comp tac so I really couldnt compare the two. I am still loving the Crossbreed though. Most comfortable holster I've ever owned.

  • That hides away nicely. Thanks for sharing!

  • Glad to see people CC a 1911 with a tuckable. I love my glock 19 and I can where my old T shirts that ride a little high for CC so long as I ware a bagy, tucked in tank top underneath. Glad to see it might be possable with a slightly larger gun. Your 1911 is probaley thinner too.

  • Hi, yes my 1911 is thinner than the G19. It is easily concealable. Next model I purchase will have a compact frame with a slightly short grip for better concealment. Thats the only thing I would change about this setup. Thanks for the comment!

  • i carry at 3 as well your arm helps hide it. plus you can bend down to pick something up with no print.

i just wish we could OC!!

  • Yeah, well I actually visit Arizona quite often and thats where I open carry, especially when we're camping or hiking mainly.

  • thats the good thing about my state ky we can open carry the gun laws are great here i must say if u have your ccw permit u can go to any gunstore and buy whatever u want and get it right then

  • Yeah, I kind of wish FLA was the same way. It just gives you another option of carry. Especially down here in florida where we are in tshirt, shorts and sandals 90% of the time its hard to ccw somedays. It would make it so much easier on those days to wear it open carry. Take care and I hope you had a nice holiday!

  • Looks like a good carry. IR

  • look's good I wear my m-tac about 3 oclock I noticed you do at 5.I noticed that at 3 i get less printing plus when one bend's over the end of the gun print's at 5 but not at 3 with little ones I alway's have to be bending over to pick stuff up lol! but ether way good vid..

  • I tried carrying it at 3 over the weekend and I must say that it does print less as you mention. I just have always worn mine at 4.30 and it seemed very comfortable. Your right though about printing while sitting or bending. I am going to start wearing it at the 3 postion from now on. Thanks for the tip!
