Thanks for re-editing the video to its full LP version since this is one of my favorite early 80's songs. So what are the two best parts missing from the edited version for the official music video? Also, do you know if there is an extended version somewhere out there, perhaps on some DJ promo cds?
@dwn1lal30:15 to 0:27 and 3:29 to 3:41. I like the way the piano leads into that theme and then I like the way the theme is played without the bass with just the piano bells and the organ. I love the effect. Thanks for the comment. :)
There is the LP version, but I put together the extended version you see here. But there isn't that much difference. Check out the LP version and free to let me know what you think of the LP version and I'll see if there's anything I can do.
@fingerjazz I believe this is the original LP version, correct? If you know how to create an extended version using a sound editing/mixing application, can you do so? It's just really disappointing to know that there is no official extended mixes for this great new wave song.
@dwn1lal3 I was a bit confusing with my use of "extended." Sorry. The LP version has a "crossfade" at the very beginning where two tracks bleed into each other. So I used the "single version" to fix that "crossfade." So it essentially is the LP version (but without the crossfade). You've given me an idea that I think I'd like to play with. I'll try doing it and let you know when I have something. :)
@dwn1lal3 I have an extended remix of this song. It really is good, got club play here in Dallas when it was out some years ago. I will try to get it posted but it was a white label I am sure.
thank you for uploading! the quality is the best!!!

how about looping to extend the instrumental verse and the breaks so the song can cross over 5 minutes in length.

@dwn1lal3 Those parts were truncated in the single version and the official video, which is based on the single version.
