@Isthisthelongestname I've only seen a few clips from Videodrome but from what I've seen it's very possible since Debbie's character is a masochist who gets pleasured in it.
She has plenty of X factor but you can see she's very raw and hasnt learned to get into character and relax. As chikochevere's said she is MESMERIZING! Her look is extemely unorthodox though, very wide face, high square cheek bones and strong jawline with a cupidsbow mouth and pouty lips, very wide, deep set jade green eyes with a girlish quality. Its hard not to look at a face that stunningly beautiful, and the only face like it EVER to my knowledge, God made her as rare as he did beautiful.
@boltonox Hmm you think Debbie had deep-set eyes? I think they were the very opposite - heavy-lidded. Her eyes were also a pale blue colour. But I agree, it's rare to find a face that pretty and unconventional. Most unconventional beauties (Angelina Jolie for instance) cannot be described as "pretty".

Take a look at Hanging on the Telephone in high quality you get quiet a few close ups of her eyes. Maybe deep set eyes isnt the right word, but she has really nice strong defined bone structure around the eye brow area and the best eye brows in the world perfect! Your right she does have heavy-lidded eyes that look sad and sexy!

@boltonox Met her at a sound check at the Palais Theatre St. Kilda. Spoke to her and Clem Burke for about 5 minutes.She was very nice and not a bit snobby and signed a photo for me. They are touring again in December so watch out and see if they are performing in Brisbane.

@ BowMods-So you are honestly judging someone's acting ability based on a screen test from from their very first film? You must be a great director. I've yet to see a screen test anywhere that doesn't come across as a bit awkward, yet this isn't bad. And this film actually got decent reviews. She was smart enough to take her first real movie role in a small film, so maybe she knew more about the value of experience and had more humility than you give her credit for.
@BowMods Its a screen Test not a movie role. All actors early screen tests look like this no matter who the actor is. Its to see if you have the desired attributes and qualities for a role and how you come across on camera. Its an impromptue audition designed to be very stressful, usually given with very little practice or rehersal time for the actor . The other actor has rehurst and practiced their role because they will be used continually against all actors trying out for the other part.
I would say not "one of" but rather "THE" most beautiful woman on earth... probably on her home planet as well, I imagine. Thank you for posting this! It was not on the American DVD and I always wanted to see this. Amazing.
