What I like about this game is that it's about YOU. Well, sorta. And you don't fight that much, you try to escape which is much more realistic. I mean, if you saw these monsters, would you really, truthfully, find a weapon/get one and start shooting them randomly unless you watched them kill someone? And would you really be able to kill them without peeing your pants or running off screaming?

Damn, the in-game visuals are pretty good. This is supposed to be o the ps2 as well? Anyways, I like it how the game is pretty interactive. Also, you get to go around looking for ways to proceed. The sound and atmosphere are great. It also looks creepy. If only resident evil games were still like this, but after RE 4 and 5, I doubt that's going to happen. I've never played a silent hill game before, but I might just get this one.

this is for Wii, PS2 and PSP too. I'm getting it on the PSP and i have to say i am very impressed with this game, unlike with Origins which kind of dissapointed me.

Because of the graphical power of the two, they are similar. They deserve a chance, just look at the PS3 and 360, too much graphical power but SH5 was not that good

la saga silent hill siempre me ha parecido la mejor en cuanto a survival horror se refiere

espero que cuando salga a la venta en america tambien no se olviden de los fans latinos y nos ofrescan el cambio de idioma al igual que en las otras entregas

but it read this silent hill will not have combat mode, i mean we wont use any weapon, we will just running away from the monsters all the time, if thats true, i believe this game will be crap no matter the good graphics, whats your opinion?

There is no need for a combat mode in Silent Hill when you stop to look at it, you can actually get the story of the game without combat... now stop and think, the Combat in SIlent Hill[save for 5 which sucked anyway] was never all that amazing, it wasn't supposed to be, what matters in Silent Hill games is story, 1,2,and 3 proved that, 4 wasn't supposed to be a Silent Hill, and 5 was trying to follow RE4's footsteps. the story in this will be AMAZING, and the game will be wonderful. trust me.

The game builds itself up acording to the information it has about the player, in the beguining it has no info so they made that questionnaire for the game to have a first impression of you, the more you play the more the game get's to know you and will keep changing to adapt to your pesonality and playing style.

keep in mind that PH is more than a monster conjured up from james's guilt, hes a punisher or executioner in silent hill's mythology, as depicted in the painting at the silent hill historical society building in SH2, and he has a reason for being in homecoming, but the silent hill movie and arcade game... all for the fans i'm afraid.

Not at all. The best SH game IMHO is Silent Hill 2, and I totally adore it. I finished them all 4 times (except for Homecoming, which sucks badly) and this seems a breath of fresh air in the series. At least justify what you said

Honestly, I thought Homecoming wasn't a bad game... it was just a bad Silent Hill game. It used Silent Hill as a sort of cop-out to say "THERE ARE MONSTERS", but the story of Shepherd's Glen is very subtly interlaced through the entire game (things like each boss representing the 4 families' methods of killing), and I really enjoyed that.

I had the most fun with Silent Hill 2 though, out of all of them.

i think this game looks great, i will personally miss combat and it would have been nice to have a lil bit of it and i will also miss the hellish nightmare world but its nice to have some change to the game. i think silent hill shattered memories will be a great game
