  • I'm having a hard time finding some. Where did you get yours?

  • Are you winding it with braided cotton string?

  • thanks alot...i learned about your video from "The Backwoodsman" magazine.

  • that will loose ur knot dude...

  • Thanks to you and your vids friend. Keep up the good work.

  • Does the wick get wet and hold moisture when you are washing the pot?

  • So that wick allows you to grab the pot while its hot with out gloves or anything? Gonna be making one myself and want to know if that wick will alleviate that problem.

  • Hey, what type of paint do you use for the bottom of the pot?

    THANKS!

  • I don't paint them anymore but BBQ paint is good

  • You can get Pot Wick Wrap at MiniBullDesign (dot) com in the Store under Replacment Parts.

    Have Fun,

    JJ

  • where do you get the wick? Ive looked in 3 hardware stores and i couldn't find it.

  • I have been watching your videos, very interesting. I want to get out there and actually go backpacking, instead of just toying around in the yard or kitchen. But while Ive been watching these videos, i was wondering... what do you do for a living? haha

  • I backpack--make youtube videos --and build stoves for a living

  • whats the reason for the wick??? on a heineken pot? i didnt catch da point oO

  • to keep from burning your fingers

  • beer burns? :D

  • when used as a pot to boil water in an ultralite backpacking setup

  • ahhh ok. thx. now i get the point

  • also, is this fibreglass or some other material?

  • so..... this is so it doesn't burn your hand when you pick it up off the fire/stove?

    just wondering?

  • You can get this special wick as Wick to wrap pots

    Model: mbd0047

    In the Store at minibulldesign(dot)com

  • It is a special wick I order in one mile lots

  • You order a MILE of this stuff at a time? LMFAO, that the longest unit I have heard of in terms of ordering length of materials. Inches and feet, sure. Yards of course. 100, 500 and 1000 yard spools? sure if you need that much.

Hi, operator? I would like a MILE of this 1/8 wick please.

    ROFL

  • I order multiple rolls of 400 yards

  • what wick is that? how come it never burns and stays cold when you grab it?

  • I dont understand how to make the knott, can u explain it? im sorry its just that you kinda lost me

  • That is as good as it gets --watch it a few times and then try it

  • yea thanks i got it!

  • Is there an alternative to wick? I've only been able to find wick in 50 yard rolls which is about $23 and more than I would want to spend.

  • yeah, buy it from Mini Bull Design for a lot less.
