I think it really took off after the 1st Gulf War. What do you expect when our own Govenor refused funding from the US Goverment for a high speed train to connect Tampa to Orlando and later Orlando to Miami. Spent lots of money for double tracking and station improvements.
Tri Rail has become very successful the past few years. Does it suprise anyone, therefore, that politicians are letting it fail in this economy? This service needs to be preserved and maintained. Dont cut funding!
One rail for north travel and one for south travel. Tri-rail refers to the 3 major counties in south Florida that it traverses. Dade, Broward, and Palm beach county. I think you were just being a wise ass though? Thats cool too.
