We had a wonderful vacation there thanks to C&R Allocation Services. The private condo next to the beach, the excursions, and the attention they gave us was great. No more all inclusive for me. I would highly suggest getting a private villa, condo or house when you go to Puerto Plata and if you do visit C&R Allocations Services Blog at: allocationservices.blogspot.co­m and they will help find a cheap bu t ideal place!! Fantastic place a real eye opener! I went in 09, had a fab time, my favorate trip was paradice island, snorkling with the fish and seeing the reef, they tell you to take bread out for the fish to feed as your snorkling which i did and got my finger bitten by one of the big yellow fish! Realy good experience id love to go again!

I visited dominican in 2009 and did all the trips in the video, i thought it was fantastic! It is a real eye opener to see how they live, i felt so sorry for them but my partner kept telling me not to as that is there life how they no it, theyv never had it any other way so they dont miss what thev never had! Paradice island was my favorate trip, snorkling and seeing the reef it was amazing, id deffinatley recomend it!

Just look around, pick up a newspaper and you'll see how sad to see people kicked out of their homes just because they lost their jobs. I've seen a plethora of homeless in NYC with no shoes and looking for food in the garbage bins by the empire state building. As for smack talk, that's not true. Are all americans dumb? Monolingual? @cia5000 Actually,the resorts are not AMERCIAN, they are european owned and as for crime, that's everywhere in the world. Even in the good ole USA, you find shitholes, gansters, and homeless people right in the perimeters of the tourist areas. Go to Washinton DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia..etc. If you want to see the real US, just leave the safe areas of your hotels and see if you too won't need a bulletproof vest. a Nice example: Baltimore city:)

I had great time in DR. Yes, I used 5D mkII for uderwater shots. I bought WP case from ebay... cheapest I`ve found... but it did the job very well. No I didn`t used steadypod for the bike ride... too big and heavy... so I left it at home.
