Just to clarify my response. I like the new material and I'm always happy to see Gary trying to bring up to speed some older songs. I enjoy the fact that the same songs can sound quite different from one live album to another. Of course, some renditions just happen to be better than others. I can't help but feel that these nostalgia tours he's doing (and which he said he would never do) are catering to those who are living in the past.

LemonKid, there's nothing wrong with having your own opinion, and I agree with some of what you said. The problem is the NLB (No-Life Bitcher) who clutters up message boards with the same old Numan-hating insults over and over again. As far as I can tell, it's just one person using multiple screen names. But he's all over YouTube and the Numan message boards. No-one pays him much attention anymore, so he'll soon have to start hating someone else.

Thanks Marcello, I'm glad to hear it. I know there are fans out there who refuse to question or critize Numan in any way or form (and they still believe Machine and Soul is a Masterpiece ;-))I'm a huge Numan fan but I don't blindly endorse anything he does. On the subject of NLBs, some of them believe that they are entitled to something, as though Gary owes them for being a fan in the first place. I guess they've got nothing much else to hang on to.

Can anyone tell me how big of a venue this is? In truth, it does look no bigger than a pub but maybe that's because of the camera angle. It's an alright version but I have to agree that it's hard to top the Paris version of 1979 at Le Palace. That version is simply brilliant.

Thanks for posting this. I couldn't get back to the UK for this mini tour, so it's great to see some of the set on here. I'll be back in December for the Replicas tour. Can't wait. Couldn't disagree more with lukenuman. Replicas these days is an absolute powerhouse of a song. Surpasses the album version and the live version you link to by a country mile. In my opinion. Please don't slag the guy off. He's had enough grief in his career without supposed former fans having a go. Thanks!

Completly ruined another classic. This new way of playing it just about sums him up these days. Totally pathetic compared to how is should be played and to how it was played live in 1979. This just sounds like apub act. I hope he sticks to the proper way of doing it when he does his "Replicas" shows later this year but i wont hold my breath.
