Aspect ratio of the video can be changed by clicking on the "Event Pan/Crop" symbol over the media event you are working upon..by default it is 4:3...after clicking "Event Pan/Crop" change "Preset" to the required aspect ratio...(for example 16:9)..
And resolution of the video can be changed ehile rendering it...Click "File" then "Render as" and then change the "Template" settings..
It will move...please carefully follow the steps from 1:36 in the video tutorial...I guess, u forgot to increase the 'Progess' or u did this step wrong...First click at the last of the timeline and then increase the progress to 10.000.
@M40A3AC130 i used Sony Vegas Pro8 a...btw as far as i know, every version has around 15 Composition Modes.. i am surprised to know that its showing just two in urs.. wish i cud hav helped u.. perhaps re-install can fix that...
if its not showing 'media generators' then click 'View' and then select 'Media Generators'....or u can open it using shortcut Alt+9... hope it works for u

@lilwdog i wud like to tell you that the step for animation starts at 1:40...where i increased the "Progress"..
Please make sure that u increase the "progress" as i do...as this is the only step that accounts for moving flame...
