  • Thank you very much for this video. I used it to help me install more RAM in my w520.

  • Thanks! Very informative video!

  • Thank you very much. I used this to bring the memory of my new W520 up to 16Gb.

  • Does anyone know if it is possible to use 2 2GB sticks and 2 4GB sticks in a W510 for a total RAM of 12GB? What kind of RAM do I need to buy?

  • Tanks, mate!

  • Thank you. Works perfectly for the W520 as well. Super video!

  • Vielen Dank für das großartige Video. Super!

  • Had a hell of a time getting in that little bugger under the keyboard -- but danke für das tolle Video!

  • Great video. Thanks for the help

  • Thank you for the excellent video! One minor note - the keyboard takes two screws, both marked with a keyboard graphic on my W510.

  • Thanks, great video!

Another observation I did: my machine already had two sticks under the keyboard, so I put a new one in the right slot in the bottom of the machine. It didn't work. So I tried to put it in the left slot, and then it worked.

I don't know why it did, but it worked when I moved it. I hope this might be useful information for someone. :-)

  • That was easy! Danke!

  • Very helpful - many thanks for this...... It would be useful to see how the RAM modules are paired between the various DIMM slots... I read somewhere that the RAM should be matched in pairs one in under keyboard slot and one in under machine slot.....

This is in order to achieve maximum RAM performance....

  • @amirraz99 - Yeah...funky, but to get the machine to use dual channel you have to do it that way. Something about keeping it matched (0-1, 2-3 being together) would make the hardware manufacture crazy complicated.

  • @PathworksKriens Danke :)

  • English please?

  • Wo hast du den Ram gekauft?
