  • Sounds like Mozart...

  • @sjeffe32

It is a beautiful sounding aircraft - especially in its current role as the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster.

  • JESUS!!!!! This video clip is AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.... Mike & Pamela

  • @MikePColeStudioPro

Thanks. The Canadian Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Ontario flies the Lancaster just about every weekend and sometimes during the week as well from May until November 11th. In this video the Lancaster is doing the `Museum Arrival' a TC approved procedure. There is an excellent viewing area at the top of the museum for aircraft in the Museum's collection flying the arrival. Check out their Facebook page and their own webpage.

  • @TheRealWWWringer Fabulous!!!! I love the Lanc :-)))

  • I visited the Hamilton museum 2 years ago, and was blessed to talk to a surviving pilot that flew Lancs in Europe. I could have sat at his feet the whole day listening to his stories. It's my hope in a year or two to be able to afford the two grand for a flight on this beauty.

I once corrected the webmaster of the Lincolnshire Museum of the omission he had posted when they were advertising the world's only flying Lanc some years back. He promptly added the Minarski Lanc to their site.

  • omg omg omg that was SOO low i though it was gonna hit the floor because it was soo close. Dick.

  • @h4ydn2008

The CWH has an approved procedure for doing fly pasts at the airport where the museum is located.

  • @WWWringer what museum because my uncle used to work on the lancaster at RAF connisgsby he still works there but hes gone onto eurofighter now

  • @h4ydn2008 The 'Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada.

Google CWH or Canadian Warplane Heritage - they have a pretty good site.

  • oh what a Beautiful plane

  • My dad was an airframe mechanic on Lancs in the RCAF during the war, and I was personally involved with the restoration of this aircraft. Sadly, my dad died several years before she flew again.

  • @ThinkingManNeil

I was fortunate enough to see the CWH Lancaster fly at an airshow with my Dad. He was quite enthusiastic DESPITE his war time experiences. Years later, in Florida, we went to an airport where a B-17 and B-24 had flown in (along with at P51 and Bf-109). We paid the $10 and got to go through the 2 WWII bombers. It is one of the best memories I have of spending time with him. Thanks for your work on restoring the Lancaster to flying status!

  • Been Showing my Grandfather a heap of footage of Lancasters on youtube, and it bought tears to his eyes, He was a Captain of a Lancaster in 75 Squadron RNZAF in WW2, Did 30 missions over France and Germany, Had his 6 months off then did another 35 missions before hostilities ended in Europe, he was one of the lucky ones who made as a hell of a lot didnt, I am recording his memories and hope to get it made into a documentary for future generations to see what these brave guys did for us all

  • @stockcar269s

Pleased that you are recording his memories. You must be very proud of him. Only wish that I had done so for my father who was a commander of a rocket group in the home guard.....they were never allowed to fire them in case the landed on the town....Dad's Army!

  • @dmx011, that must have been a terrible position

  • my grandfather went on over 60 missions over enemy territory and survived every one, he was very lucky.

  • awsome plane, my Grandfather was a tail gunner in WWII

  • My Dad was a Navigator on Lancasters and Stirlings during WWII.

  • thats awsome, i couldnt even imagine being in one of those thing shooting at planes and getting shot at, knowing that you might not come back everytime you went up in it, my hats off to everyone
