it´s moonspell's symbol. if you look closely you'll see it's a star inside a circle and the top part of the star is pulled down to resemble a "M"

It's a pentagram, or an inverted one, depending on which way you look at it.
The other part is what you said, there's an M moulded into the symbol as well.
