its a blue-ish grey its kinda hard to tell, but yeah some are blue. i think its a mix of some in blue and some in grey.

In old times, soldiers robbed dead enemies and even get the uniforms of their enemies, if they needed something to wear.
In "Gods and Generals" you can see it, that confederated wear parts of the unions uniforms.
