Love Woodrow Parfrey--as an actor he was as distinctive as his name. Loved him in the Eastwood movies of course, but also in hilariously quirky guest appearances on shows like "WKRP In Cinncinnati" and countless others. Is there any actor working today with something of his unique sensibility?? The only name that comes to mind is Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper on "The Big Bang Theory").

Let's not forget--Woodrow Parfrey was also "Jaffee," the hot dog shop owner who calls in the bank robbery just up the street for Clint Eastwood in "Dirty Harry."
You may be right that this was the only time Parfrey's name was announced like that...I know of at least two other QM appearances, both after this one--Streets of San Francisco ("The Stamp of Death") and Barnaby Jones ("Man On Fire")--where he appears, and he is not among the performers announced at the beginning. Perhaps it's because this is a larger role for him than the other two episodes?
I totally agree with rayssonation.....This show needs to be released on DVD!!
All the studios release is current tv crap and reality tv. This show was awesome and since American Life Network isn't showing it anymore, You can't watch it ...AT ALL!
@diapertom2001: Excuse me, current TV dramas/comedies/police-lawyer shows are not crap-either you haven't been watching them or you just hate reality TV and can't see the difference. Please don't assume that all TV is reality TV-just as I won't assume that most sitcoms of the 60's on CBS (the Paul Henning shows especially) are complete crap.
@Neville6000 Excuse me but most of the current TV police drama's and comedy's ARE CRAP! That is my opinion and I know that many other's feel the same wat that I do about this. This is why classic TV network's are becoming a big deal. However if it were up to me I would never waste my time watching most (not all) of TV's current programming. Paul Henning's show's were special in their own right. Although I never liked The Beverly Hillbillie's to much, I love Green Acre's and other show's like
As long as they release them with the original openings with sponsor identification (I've got a few from 1965-6 on vhs with original commercials for Ford) ... the syndicated openings are butchered.
Nobody wants to see ads for Ford on a tape or DVD-they would want to pay to see the show itself. Perhaps if the ads were an extra on the DVD's, it might work.
@Neville6000 > I personally liked seeing "the original broadcast with the Ford ad;s included because there is no where else that you can see the original!! It obviously was taken out for the AOL and American Life Network showing's.
@diapertommy : The Ford intro was cut out long before that...I remember the initial syndication run from some time ago, and it was missing that portion of the intro back then.
Remember, if there's no demand for a product, there is no supply. You and all of the fans have to convince Warner Bros. that there is a demand for the F.B.I. to be on DVD in the same way the fans of Star Trek have convinced Paramount that there is a big market for Star Trek to be a series of movies and several other TV shows (as well as DVD's). Also, wasn't the FBI on AOL's online TV service for a while?
@Neville6000 > There are MANY show's that are in high demand and have not been released on DVD as of now. There is a page that was set up to collect signature's to eventually give to Warner Bro's to ask them to finally release The F.B.I. on DVD. The F.B.I. was on Aol's online TV service about 3 year's ago and even when it was they on showed certain episode's of certain season's. It was still great that fan's of the show were able to watch it somewhere.
Parfrey worked mostly in television but did appear in some A-list films, among them Planet Of The Apes, Charley Varrick and Papillon. He played general store owner Ike Godsey in the 1971 Christmas special The Homecoming, which served as the pilot for The Waltons TV series. When the series premiered in 1972, a younger act was cast as Godsey. Parfrey continued to work steadily until his death in 1984.

Anyone have FBI: The Masterminds, starring Tom Skerritt and Steve Ihnat? Would love to see that!!!!
CDeanWatcher 2 years ago
@CDeanWatcher : Skerritt is not in The Mastermind...Ihnat is, though, along with Bradford Dillman, Scott Marlowe and Clu Gulager.

@recordman64 Och....I meant Dillman!
Hey, they look alike! ; )
CDeanWatcher 11 months ago
@CDeanWatcher : Personally, I think there's more of a resemblance between Skerritt and Marlowe!

It is a crying shame that this astounding series is not out on DVD!!!! Warner Home Video should be ashamed of themselves!
One of the greatest cop shows of the mid-1960's and the early 1970's,"The FBI" remains one of the most successful ever produced by Quinn Martin.

Doesn't matter what season...if there are any references to Ford in the opening credits, they were excised. It annoys the hell out of me too.

@Neville6000 Those ads are always easily removed for DVDs.
