ya lets go ahead and legalize meth too, so we can "get back to life as usual"
let me ask the non-tweakers for a second 'whats your problem, it doesn't hurt you, just let the tweakers get high already come on.'
look at your mindset through a different lens. funny thing about saying this is, I'm gay, you're arguments are just so horribly thought up I had to say it.
@meagan724 Oi twat! There's a guy called Gene Robinson is is a Bishop and guess what HE IS GAY! So get over yourself, and your petty little fears of Gays. You are ignorant.
if someones gonna promote homosexuality then lets promote straight also.
if you say gay is a choic, then straight is aswell. Anyone can change their behaviors to straight or gay, but you can't change what you feel towards a person, that is clearly natural. how do you say that some animals are gay, are you gonna not say that is unnatural??
Being a man of God, I don't think anyone else sexual preference is any of my business. (Even though i disagree.) However, As an American, I have the right to choose what i wish for my future...even though a gay America is inevitable. But, in no way does that mean I have hatred towards it.
LMAO> How can being GAY! destroy humanity?? WTF!!??
I'd b more in total WORRINESS about straight people! they make all the WARS in the world, nuclear power/bombs, now thats DANGER to humanity..
and also, if you say being, "gay will destroy humanity", well- then, ..since the dawn of mankind ....theres been HOMO people and that was way-way over 15,000 years in RECORD! time,......and look now, 15,000+ years later.. we are STILL ALIVE. you're such an idiot. "hjmatrix33"
You confuse me. ha. but we did rally A LOT before the election. It just didnt get covered as much as when prop 8 passed. Pre election was mostly local news paper reports on rallies. Post election was when the TV news made it nationaly known that we were on the streets rallying....just some 411 for u
This guy is HILARIOUS!!! Judgmental, hateful, and intolerant, but hilarious. I know homosexuals don't understand the concept of "Thou shall not", but I would have thought that homosexuals AT LEAST understand the concept of american law. They had their chance, america said NO, God says NO, I voted NO. So what part of NO, don't they get?
The part they don't get, I'm guessing, is the part about why they would need your permission. We are talking about consenting adults, and although your religion doesn't allow it, no one is asking you to be gay. I'm not gay, but I am not afraid of gay people loving each other.
Well other then the fact that we dont want your mythical god stuffed down our throats you cant say no by a populace vote it requires a 2/3 legislature event.
O ya dont go after straight people I am straight and I support gay rights.
Excuse me but it's not that homosexuals DON'T understand "thou shall not", they simply choose to not follow through with it and that is their right to do so. As I said before, it's called freedom of religion. Which, for you slow people, means one does not have to take part in ANY religion if they simply do not wish to, mmkay?
Also, what part of the American law don't you Yes on 8 people understand? The US Constitution states that ALL men are created equal and that there shall be a separation of church and state. Did you people miss out on a few History classes or what? And just for the record, America did not say no, only the close-minded ignorant people said no. It's really sad that there's more narrow-minded idiots than educated optimists living here. Hopefully, the next generation learns for the idiots' mistakes.
@castawayds Who are you to say what Yahuah of hosts says, by what authority do you speak, stone thrower! That stone you cast to the lowest in the Kingdom is aimed at God, himself. Do you not read, do you not see, do you not hear?
Those with eyes see, those with ears hear.
Repent false witness, and have a nice day. Love ya.
"Churches have a fundamental right to speak out on moral issues. That does NOT violate tax exempt status. They are just not allowed to openly endorse and financially support candidates. So many gay activists misunderstand the law on this one."
Thanks for proving my point, ace.
Yes, they are allowed to SPEAK OUT against issues but they are NOT allowed to ENDORSE a measure.
The Mormon church ENDORSED and FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED the Yes on 8 campaign.
I guess my point is on the lines of: The modern society you see today, everyone that's alive on Earth today, was all created by your ancestors which would've had to have been straight in order to have your grandparents and for them to have your parents and so on and so forth. Again, I'm just implying that as something to ponder.
Allowing gay marriage is not going to turn the entire world gay, you know. Just like hanging around tall people isn't going to make you tall. There are still going to be straight couples that are having kids!
There's also a thing called donor sperm/eggs, which is how unfertile couples have babies.
Wii, actually, I bet lots of our ancestors weren't straight. It's just that in previous centuries, almost everyone was pressured to get married to the opposite sex. Gay people still existed; they just had to live their lives in secret. In my own case, my biological dad is gay. But we live in a modern society where he can be an openly gay man. So my brothers and I grew up with two dads.
I was talking about in the US. Sweden has nothing whatsoever to do with the United States. They have laws against bad mouthing homosexuals, we don't. We have restricted freedom of speech, and so do they, but their laws are much tougher.
So, can you please give me a VALID example that occurred in this country?
You want a valid example of gay intolerance to religion? It just happened yesterday. Eharmony, a religious dating website aimed at being between men and women, was forced to add a "gay section" to their website because they were sued by gays over and over. Now I don't get this. There are a billion gay websites for people to put their personal profiles on. Why did they have to mess with the religious one? This is only the start.
I asked for a valid example of silencing freedom of speech, not "gay intolerance of religion". There's no such thing as the latter.
There's freedom of religion in this country. NO ONE, no matter if they're gay or straight, has to tolerate ANY type of religion. Basically, you believe what you want and you don't have to believe what everyone else believes.
And no where on that website does it formally announce that it's a religious website.
Yeah, I know the founder has a religious background and that it used to be promoted as a religious dating site, but since that is nowhere to be found on that site anymore, I'd say that's fair game.
He's also said it countless interviews that the only reason, those options are not on there, is because he has't done research on same-sex couples to be able to match them, like he has on straight couples/marriage and because gay marriage is illegal in most states, NOT because of his religion.
All I know is a lot of people I know who use eharmony and majorly upset about this...why should eharmony be sued when there are hundreds of gay personal sites to meet people? People went to eharmony to not have to deal with this sort of thing..
I see it like this: if pretty much every public place (Wal-Mart and McDonald's, for example, and other stuff like that, even the DMV) in this country also caters to those who do not speak english, when the majority of Americans do, why shouldn't dating sites cater to ALL sexual orientations, even when the majority of the population is straight?
Oh, and another thing, there isn't going to be any gay section of eHarmony. The founder is creating another website for gay people.
So nobody should be crying about anything.
They'll still have their segregation; but just for the record, didn't we learn with the Jim Crow laws back in the day that separate but equal is not really equal?
But I guess close-minded ignorant homophobes would never see it as such.
"Gays have already tried to strip away the tax exempt status of churches"
Well, yes that is true but do you even know why?
Because churches shouldn't be endorsing measures and/or candidates with millions of dollars, like the Mormon church did for Prop 8, unless they start paying taxes.
Churches have a fundamental right to speak out on moral issues. That does NOT violate tax exempt status. They are just not allowed to openly endorse and financially support candidates. So many gay activists misunderstand the law on this one.
One other thing. Even if gays put provisions in that protect churches, when Obama appoints liberal members of the Supreme Court and to other judicial spots, those rights might go away. So it might not hurt churches immediately, but down the road their freedom of speech could be taken away. If the actions of the past week are any indication, there is EVERY reason for churches to oppose gay marriage (vandalism, intimidation, trespassing, etc.)
You realize that if Prop 8 had never come up this wouldn't be happening. You reap what you sow. And by the way, vandalism, intimidation, and trespassing are at a minimum; the vast majority of these rallies have been peaceful. And what about the 4 Mormons accused of assaulting demonstrators? Why aren't you talking about that?
As for the schools argument... we teach about different religions in school, and nobody bats an eyelash, even though many people consider other religions immoral.
No, this wouldn't be happening if the Supreme Court of CA didn't give couples rights by making their own laws, then the PEOPLE of CA rightfully took them away. I haven't heard about these 4 Mormons, can you provide a link? What happened in the Lansing, Michigan church service was absolutely disgusting. It's one thing to teach general religious courses in school (I don't know that this happens anyway, anymore). But we are talking about health classes endorsing the gay lifestyle.
Sweetie, they don't even teach marriage in schools right now in CA, what in the world makes you think that if gay marriage was legal, it would be taught in schools? Because really, it wouldn't.
How do I know this? Well, I just graduated in June and not once was I ever taught about marriage in school.
The people of CA shouldn't have any chance to TAKE AWAY rights of other people; it's NOT right. It's WRONG!
ACTUALLY, this wouldn't be happening if people in this country weren't so ignorant.
It hurts churches, maybe not now, but in the future. Gays have already tried to strip away the tax exempt status of churches and they have tried to silence freedom of speech. A lot of the population doesn't even recognize gay marriage or even gay relationships, for that matter. To them, any type of union doesn't even exist...it's unnatural for obvious reasons. And they don't want something they view as immoral endorsed in public school with their tax dollars...
ya lets go ahead and legalize meth too, so we can "get back to life as usual"
