QUALity!! Very impressive and useful. Looks like you have a healthy cat and thanks for not doing the obnoxious cat baby talk that infects most cat vids.
Yes, dogs and horses (some breeds more than others) have the great misfortune of being able to learn lots of useful things (from the human perspective) through aversives-based training. Most other species really don't - the side-effects of aggression, fear and "shutting down" become too obvious and severe - which is why they've traditionally been considered "difficult to train". I wish all dog trainers were required to also train at least one non-traditional species (chicken, cat, rat...).
Thanks, everyone! I'm thrilled that so many people like it. Sorry about the poor lighting/contrast, this was my very first try and I had no idea how to edit. Maybe I'll make a "2.0" later. :o)
An Abyssinian. This cat looks very much like the old Abyssinian belonging to my family. I taught him to give his paw. I also taught our other cat to do the same and tried to teach that cat to follow like a dog. Unfortunately he died.

great video, this is how all animals should be trained!! (read into that: dogs and horses especially, who commonly experience such violent training)

I'd like to challenge all the things you have shown on animation which is a very good study
for me to learn training.
