Lupus is not a form of arthritis... It's an autoimmune disease that attacks the major organs. You could die from it if it's not caught in time, but if you take meds, you can live a relatively normal life. (Can you tell I got diagnosed 3 years ago?) I got pissed off at OLTL when they introduced Marty as having lupus, but then oops... Forgot she had it when they had John McBain knock her up a couple of years ago...
This storyline brought back so many memories i remember that Megan had Lupus which is a serious form of Arthritis that attacks the immune system...I loved her character so much that I named my one daughter after her...i actually cried when she died.
God, this storyline was devastating! I know that Erika has kids in real life, so it must have been a nightmare scenario to play out the death of a daughter.
