This movie sucks so bad I cannot begin to describe. I was high when my friend put it on, which probably didn't help (as it is one fucked up story line anyway). Im not giving away any spoilers cos youve seen it in this trailer already, but all I can say is... the alien gets pregnant 0_0

What the fuck. Its a dude, and its just too fucking weird and stupid. Sorry but I hate this thing. Just had to watch the trailer to see if I was halucinating, or if it really was that bad when I saw it

There are species that indeed don't need sex for reproducing, the movie plays with the idea of an alien race that has an asexual way of reproduction, just for adding more complexity to the moral lesson of the movie, wich is leaving racial hate and violence of war away. Next time leave weed behind and pick a book from time to time.

A great sci-fi gem! I used to watch it too when I was a kid. I was so scared of that pit monster with its long tongue, lol. Very memorable music in the movie from Maurice Jarre. He also used it partially in The Mosquito Coast movie as well.
