you cannot put into words how good this is (along with the rest of Thoms/Radiohead music)...it is, literally impossible....go on, try it....you WILL fail
@83assasin dude.... that is falseto. Don't talk when you don't know what you're talking about. I"m pretty sure you don't even play an instrument or if you do, you're a feelingless tabber who want to shred.
@mrmchpisto Well, then you can phone up Thom and kindly tell him HE'S wrong, because he clearly stated, in a past interview with "Rolling Stone," that he sometimes wishes he didn't have a falsetto. So, I think you need to jog on, mate.
@mrmchpisto give it up buddy. you're wrong. just admit it and move on, or dont admit it, but fucking move on dude. don't play dumb like you can't understand my comment, i said it in clear and plain english. as a voice coach i happen to know for fact that men do not have "head" voices. its falsetto. period. get over yourself.
@mrmchpisto i can't tell if you're too dumb to know you're wrong, or too immature to admit it. either way, this argument is over since you clearly have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
This performance is so haunting. Thom Yorke has one of the most brilliant and beautiful falsettos I've ever heard. This interpretation of "I Will" never fails to give me goosebumps.
eerie without the harmonies. In a good way! I thought there was a straight melody in there but he chose different lines as he went. Very cool as usual.
NO, like spinning plates backwards is a different version of like spinning plates, the acoustic piano version. I have audio production software and i reversed it.
whats with all these different guitars thom and jonjon are using? in all the Musique Plus songs they use different guitars then usual that they never use live. anywho, great performance by thomthom once again.
Yeah, I mean I can pull it off for about 5 seconds and then myvoice begins to tremble and my throat burns. I can't fathom singing the whole song in such a strong falsetto.
Thom and Jonny arent just the brains behind Radiohead. I mean the Pete Selway is an amazing drummer and the bassist blows my mind away -- and the vocals of Ed is absolutely awesome. This band at their best made and still makes any other band look superficial. Great stuff!
No Man's Land is simply an alternate title. All the songs have them. Even the title of the album has an Alternate. Which came first, the original or the alternate, we are never told.
Radiohead's producer, Nigel Godrich, made singer Thom Yorke learn the lines to "Like Spinning Plates" backwards and then played them forward for an eerie result. In addition, "Like Spinning PLates" is actually "I Will" played backwards.
yeah, i heard about it, they say Jonny Greenwood and Selaway were playing backwards i Will and Yorke listened to the reverse I Will and sang it backwards... wow..
Thanks for writing all that information in the video description. To me Spinning Plates backwards sounds like mellow electronica from the late 80's, it's pretty strange.
I agree with alot of people about the Pablo Honey thing, they were more raw and didnt have the quality they have from Ok Computer onwards, my favourite period is Kid A/Amnesiac because they made their best stuff in my opinion on those 2 albums, Hail To The Thief was also a great album, I hope they make a mix of Hail and Amnesiac on this next one, that would be too good. Great Performance Thom !
i like pablo honey... you, i cant, stop whisperin, creep etc... its a 3 man guitar album which is kinda' raw, compare to the other albums. but thats the best thing about it...
Healing, I'm aware of that. It's still funny. I love Radiohead and they happen to be my favorite band. I've listened to all their stuff...except Pablo Honey cause' they were n00bs back then.
they made my favorite bands just bands i like because unlike other bands they keep getting better and better...so, fittingly i'm not into pablo honey cept for blow out
my favorite radiohead tracks are the ones that have not come out yet
It's falsetto that he is singing in I'm pretty sure... But men can DEFINITELY have head voices.
