this is weird... i bought an otterbox from ebay, which had no watermarks on it... then i bought one from the store which did have watermarks on it lol
You can use almost anything to clean the screen of the otterbox and iphone screen. then use a blow dryer on a low setting dry off both the otterbox screen and the iphone screen. Keep the blow dryer about 12" away from each and it doesn't get very hot at all. Do this for a minute or so. Then when you put the otterbox case together there will no NO bubbles at all. I used windex to clean my iphone and otterbox screen. Worked perfectly on both phones I tried it on.
You know what i discovered.....an industrial paper towel(blue) and windex...
Cut paper towel into strips then arrange it inside the otterbox spray it with windex.... Even the screen of your i - phone the same procedure ..... let stand for couple of minutes then dry it up with micro fibre.....bingo no water marks!
hey guys, i really love this case as well but i figured out something that really works. i dont like flour or baby powder or other screen protectors, i woke up this morning and i tried stick deodorant on the case screen and rubbed it in really well. it looks a bit cloudy but there is no orange peel look, no flour underneath the screen. rub it in well and its invisible, and no watermark!!!! =]
Thanks mjthomas84. It works great for me too. The DVD case plastic is thin enough to fit with no problems and thick enough to eliminate the watermark. :-)
Thanks talldiesel. I'm planning on posting another video of a better solution but I can't find time to film it. It's where I took the clear plastic off of a DVD movie case, cut it to size and put it between the two. It works better than anything I've tried yet. Hopefully I will get the video out soon. :-)
I tried this and it is AWESOME!!!! i just cut a rectangle the size of the viewable screen out of the plastic wrapper to a CD and laid it over the inner plastic front of the otterbox defender and gently laid my phone inside. Closed it up and BLAMO! No more watermarks. Thanks for the fix. I never would have thought of that on my own.
Thank you rakion224. I have figured out another solution for the watermark that, so far, seems to work better and is much easier to do. I will be posting another video shortly.
how do you get the cloudy residue off the otterbox screen when you used windex to clean it?
