Yes cool video. I read an article few years ago about this competition. It said that the US Swat guys didnt take the german team really serious, because of their not militairy looking haircuts and wiry bodys, but in the end the german guys won... Is this kind of competition still going on or is it over now?

Of course GSG9 wins every time. Putting regular SWAT against GSG9 is like putting regular Infantry against Green Berets. Would be more accurate of a comparison to put GSG9 agaisnt Delta force. they'd have their hands full.

Interessting here is that the german GSG9 is using swiss made weapons (SIG), and not german weapons.

Well, the difference between them are not the education or condition, the difference is small and is only depended on watching the details, an attitude with respect to the opposite and themselves as well "self discipline"….Unfortunately the U.S. team has the biggest problem with those qualities…As “pquinn448” said already….quality.....

Well, fact is that the GSG9 wouldn't win if the US teams as SWAT wouldn't behave so sloppy and arrogante in some case....Sorry USA

@laubeatz Germany's best counter-terrorists would be the KSK, the german equivalent to the SAS who both are military units unlike police units like SWAT and the GSG 9.

@Ballack81 yeah but San Antonio (TX) beat GSG9 in 2004 worlds!!!! then got 2nd in 05-06 and those are the only 3 years we competed.
