God of War has always been the industry standard, compare the press reaction of GOW3 to that of bayonetta...see which game gets more attention e.t.c GOW is simply better, but we must not forget GOW3 is an exclusive so Sony poured a lot into it, that other devs won't be able to match.

@rexxer86 Bayonetta looks sweet on the XBox 360. I loved the combat in Bayonetta, N Gaiden, and DMC. Their stories, however, were never anything to write home about. I loved the old Final Fight and other games like it back in the day, and these games are the closest thing to that genre we have today. Alot of Japanese games don't hold up well in terms of executing their storylines. They all re-use cliched Japanese convention, which is probably why these games have low-cal storylines.

So why are some people ripping GOW's combat system already? They haven't even played it and yet they already dismiss it because it doesn't play like Bayonetta or Ninja Gaiden, for instance. I love those game myself, but I just can't take their stories seriously, even when taking Japanese cultural sensibilities into account. Something must get lost in translation along the way, because their stories are indiscernable to me oftentimes. God of War is made by American company, right?

@jstephenj Exactly, people are too quick to judge, they think because Bayonetta and DMC has more combos and faster paced combat that it automatically means a better combat system when it doesn't, the games are very different. GOW3 is more of an action adventure game than a straight up action hack and slash like DMC, the story, presentation, graphics and sound are all far better in GOW than any other hack and slash, and the gameplay may be slower paced but it suits the game.

As long as you actually get to fight a titan, that's fine with me. Alot of games teasingly allude to certain things and never deliver. In the case of MGS4, the player has no interaction with Outer Haven, yet they spend half the game hyping it up as the end all/be all point in the game. Kojima made the same mistake with Outer Haven as he did with Arsenal Gear in MGS2. Outer Haven should have been the Death Star of MGS4, and yet it became nothing more than a set piece.

Also note they gave GOW1 a 6/10, GOW2 an 8/10...so, by comparison this is the best in the series. OPM UK are quite funny with their scores sometimes.

Hey Rexxer86, when OPM reviewed this epicness, and sickness, were they playing a beta patch, or do you think they actually played the final product? I really do wish Santa Monica can spend more time since I don't mind it being delayed once more.

They create about a dozen or so review builds, it's not the final build but it's close to it, the review is then done on this review build and the devs would have about a week or so before the game is then finalised. And the problem with it getting delayed is both financial and fan reaction,  people wouldn't want a delay, and a further delay would lose Sony a lot of money as the publisher of the game.

@SolidLittle While I do agree that U2 looks amazing, I firmly believe GOWIII has it beat, especially after seeing what I've seen today, However about Crysis. technically graphics relates to : textures, shaders, lighting, texture mapping, particles, Ambient occlusion e.t.c features like those, and in that regard Crysis still has every game on the planet beat. But if we're talking visual art style and scale, I think GOWIII is better. But I mean come on Crysis is almost photo-realistic.

i think Crysis can only get close to photo realism if you play on a 7000 bucks PC with a graphic mod. I think GoW 3 will beat it graphically, at least in the shading and lightning aspects, and yeah, scale obviously. But I haven't played Crysis on ultra high settings, only on high, so I can't be totally sure.

GoW3 doesn't even come close to it. Sure art style on GoW3 is amazing and so it the colour palet but it can't beat crysis.

Well to figure out what AA is Google "Anti-aliasing" and click the wiki results. Just read the part with the pictures.

Monitor Resolution is dependent on your monitor size a 14" monitor would work best with 640x480.

Now a more common size of monitor would be 19" which works best with 1280x1024.

Now if anyone has any question about a certain topic or how to find really cheap PC parts and possibly build your own gaming PC cheap to play games like mass effect, I'd gladly answer them.

@rexxer86 ive noticed quite a few things in this awesome compilement: the skin on kratos' blades were usualy red now its gold. @1:20 thats the first battle and the opening battle of the game 1:24 posiedon looks...... well ......godly 2:11 is when kratos kills hercules for the cestus. the hercules part is guessing lol but this game should have got a 10 but im not complaining it will be game of the year and game of the century. thank you soo much for this installment. love you dearly buddy
