  • How do you connect a keyboard/controller to the sonar V-700 studio? to work with the vst's and beatscape? Is it Via midi, or with the USB?????

  • But this equipment works with Logic and Reason as well?

No one actually answer me that question...

  • well nothing beats the 2480 hd my 2480 can go with me you have to pack plus your board is weak on the faders the 2480 is better than any fader why its heavy and wont fade updates can slow you down sonar is great pro tools is better yes i can you my 2480 with pro tools i made a box that makes it work with and software and yes i have recorded big stars with my 2480 and it looks better than you desk

  • this is kool

  • i want 2 go pro so is this what i need helppppppppppppppppp

  • Seems like a cool system. I'm wondering if this thing has some surround sound functions to help the 5.1 mixing.

  • Thank you, Sonar and V 700 is wonderful

  • Would you happen to know, if the M-Audio Axiom Pro 49 work with the V-700 Studio ?

  • Last price check was about $3700.

  • Does this work well with real drums or v-drums? Or do you have to use the drum software in the machine?

  • @xXrockerXxXbrizzXx Yes, you can use a V-Drum kit with the VS-700. Connect the MIDI I/O on the TD-module to the MIDI I/O on the VS-700. If you want to use the sounds of the TD and record them in SONAR, just run the audio outputs of the TD to the inputs on the VS-700 and then arm & record the appropriate tracks in SONAR. The built-in drum sounds in SONARs Session Drummer 3 are very good. The VS-700 can also be expanded with an ARX card such as Rolands ARX-01 Supernatural Drums card.

  • @CakewalkSoftware can i use this with sonar home studio 7 xl i realy want 2 buy this if not i still will get it help

  • dude just steped over from fl studio and i looked at all this video's but this is just sick i dint expect this software to be so extreemly profesional

  • It's time to step it up Pro tools because Sonar is on your ass!!! and about to pass!!!

  • All I seem to be doing recently is looking up videos of Sonar. I've just switched from Logic and now I have new software to get used to, still looks really good, and thanks Cakewalk, because these videos are a massive help.

  • Looks inexpensive

  • Hey there!

What midi controller keyboard are you using here?

  • I think it's an edirol pcr-800.

  • edirol pcr 500 a wonderful controler

  • Is it possible to use this with another interface like a firewire interface with more ins?

  • sonar is the beast

  • would love to have this if i could finance it.

  • kool thanks rotrax music

  • I just linked a Roland VS-2480 to Sonar and it can do all that and more. - And cost much less.

  • how much is this thing?

  • love that patch on the fantom

  • i'm such a dumbass......i finnaly realized you still need a computer. it's just an interface w/ a syth in it and a controller packaged with sonar 8. so yes you can stil use VST's. i stil want it though. no more mixing with a mouse.

  • wats so bad about mixing with a

    mouse

  • obviously you are not old school and used to working 48 faders during mixdown. i'm talking about before automation, before digital. the advances are wonderful. but trying to mix on a mouse is ok with all the new gizmos. but sometimes you want to capture a live track and hae to mix more than one channel at a time

try mixing five or more channels on the fly no automation with a mouse.....if you can do it more power to you.....but us old farts would rather do it the way we learned long ago.

  • besides....we learned hw to mix when pro-tools meant it was made by stanley or snap on and plug-ins were only air fresheners...all the new gizmos are great but if the old analog was so old why does everything made now emulate the old analog stuff.... adding warmth and color. us old guy like it because that what music sounded like when were growing up...people still try to make it sound old.. that's why i dont like mixing with a mouse!!!!!!!

  • okay illl keep that in mind next time

  • check out the music i made on page i used sonar 6

  • Nothing as far as function. Having a working surface is better for doing more things at once. It's a huge time saver and also ensures that fewer things are missed. Editing and mixing using a mouse instead of a control surface is kind of like going to the grocery store without a list. Things are just easier when you have a visual representation in front of you.

  • Damn! i want one. this keeps me from having to use a DAW controller. It's all there. What about VST's? Will it accept them or do i still need Sonar to run them?
