I always actually thought this was the 1st season opening of Perfect Strangers. It just seems more 1st seasonish, what showing Larry leaving his home for Chicago and Balki leaving his country (Meepos?) for America. I'm a bit surprised this was actually the 2nd season opening.
This opening has most elements of the one used in the first season, only the show's logo and credit font have changed, and near the end, scenes from Balki and Larry's early months in Chicago are inserted. The first season title sequence only got as far as the scene where Larry crosses into Chicago on the highway.
34: balki's country bg mypos greece the clothing & hair of balki reminds me of canadian actor michael mahonen his setting is from road to avolnea its kind of a reference mypos avolnea the bg & clothes designing a bit
seems that the opening of the show has led some persons to think that the show is about gay men who meet each other after each moves to chicago. in truth, the 2 men weren't gay. furthermore, 1 of the men eventually marries a woman, and the other man marries a different woman, and children are produced.
I like MORK AND MINDY too, also a funny show (R. Williams was perfect in the role of this alien), but Balki & Larry were faaar funnier.
This is my favourite show.
By the way, in my opinion the 2nd-Season-Opening Credits were the best of the entire series, while the 3rd-to-8th-Season-Opening was still very, very good.
More like Laverne & Shirley. The slapstick was very similar. Mork & Mindy was more relationship oriented between the two. But both shows were produced by the same people. However, Paramount produced those shows. The only similarity iwht Mork & Mindy was the alien thing, but Mork was an alien being not from anothe country.
@Nightmastercool97 I thought it was more like a male version of Laverne & Shirley. When you look at the style of the show, the similarities are obvious.
There's no need to post these episodes here anyway. These episodes are available via online torrents if you can track them down. Highly recommended if you can do it.
That's exactly where I got these. I figure if Warner Bros was REALLY worried about losing money, they'd release some DVDs already. I would certainly buy them.

I definitely like this theme better than season 1's. I don't like later on when they cut it short!
