The only time i've ever tried one of these is at a local Target store. The 3D was kind of weak, but that was probably because I was playing Pilotwings Resort, I was trying to get comfortable since you couldn't pick up the system, and that the store was brightly lit.

These 3Ds ads are so annoying and misleading. All the "real reactions" such as "Im there!" is painting the 3DS as some kind of virtual reality device, which it really isnt. I have a 3DS and I like the 3D effect, but it doesnt make me feel like "Im there" at all, just gives the game a rich feeling of depth that is impressive, but nothing at all like VR!

Not to mention the way they keep erratically tilting the 3DS side to side to seem like they are more engrossed, when this will lose the effect

I was gonna get one of these... Until The Sun reported of people getting ill after just 3 minutes... You might say that The Sun reports crap, but I went into CEX to test out the new handheld and started feeling a headache coming on after about 2-3 minutes. I ended up turning the 3D function down a little. So I'd say don't get this, because Nintendo aren't even issuing full refunds!

Some people have eye problems that go unnoticed until you start asking their eyes to do things they don't normally do. Just go to a BestBuy or Gamestop and see if you are one of the people who have dysfunctional eyes.

I think they were shocked at how terrible it was, and Nintendo overdubbed anything negative they said with "amazing".

Overpriced, last generation hardware, poor 3D technology, poor design and worst of all the thing has no good games.

Bring me Zelda OoT, MGS3D and Resident Evil Revelations when the 3DS is at a price point of around £60 (what it's worth), then we will talk Nintendo...thieving cunts.

1. You sound totally arrogant, you forget that the vast majority of people buying this are

A. "non-gamers" who like the easygoing nature of nintendo (like my family- they hate any games other than stuff like professor layton etc)

B. Nintendo fan's - they seem pretty collectable

I'm sure an xbox is much better but not everyone likes that - you might, but others don't

1. I am arrogant, I don't care who buys it, in the end they are stupid for buying a console because it's a fad.

And XBOX 360 is mediocre, I don't like any of that shooting shit.

How am I mindless? That doesn't make sense. Hell, I am not buying the console which has one of the worst game launch line-ups in the history of gaming, not to mention the RRP is 4 times the production cost.

I like the Nintendo DS, the price was still too high but it boasted a great library of games.

As of now, I can't see a good reason why somebody would like the DS. Maybe if you are 5 years old and you are a Nintendogs fanatic then yes. The only reason why people like it at the moment is because they are being wowed by the 3D. Like all gimmicks, the wow effect will wear off in a few weeks.

Just gotta say that the reactions were genuine. I can truly say I was genuinely excited to see this piece of kit. There's always scepticism about these sort of ads but it really captured our first reactions. I also gotta say. If you wanna see fake. Search for the American version by typing in 'nintendo ds reaction'. Man that's funny.
